If you could play one hole at Augusta, which would it be?
GolfSpy_SHARK replied to matt_puttercup's topic in General Q&A
I love hole 7, Long par 4, fairly tight fairway, protected green by being elevated, not very deep and completely surrounded by traps.....but then again how can you not go with Hole 13 Azalea....Lock it in hole 13. -
I used to play it ALLLLL the time. Would get off night shift and they always had early morning openings. Played almost 3x a week there after work. I have never loved the layout, especially now as I have played so many courses in the area so it is never my first choice. The first par 5 (now hole 4) got on in 2 yesterday. 275 drive and then a nice 220 4 iron was 10' and 3 putted, wicked bonehead I am.

Make sure you all check out the social media postings, another weekly highlight reel is up! Keep the pictures coming! (Vertical pictures look better on the reels FYI)

It’s great, typical New England tree lined course. Will be green soon enough

Need d a mental clearing 9 today. Not bad 42 at a course I have not played in years. Never got a good feel in the greens and both par 3s I double with really bad shots off the tee. All the other holes tee to green I played really well. Great drives really nice 2nd shots (including a 220 yard 4 iron on a par 5 about 10’ from the pin. Still 3 putted

Drive By Golf Course (No not a Drive-By)
GolfSpy_SHARK replied to Shankster's topic in The 19th Hole
Drive by the woods and think of it no, but I do drive by a course and say "damn I would love to play that course" -
Morning all! Going to be a beautful week here in the 60s. Not sure how clear the skies will be today for the eclipse but we are around 96% so hopefully it stays clear to see it! Hoping to get out tomorrow for a round. Need to make sure my schedule stays somewhat open to make it happen. Enjoy the eclipse anyone that’s going to be able to see it

When I got them in I used a 3’ piece of rebar and just did circles. They were in there deep to. -
Mark/Shark. I wish it had something to do with me swindling everyone out of money on the course but it’s not Nieces and nephews call me uncle shark. Links up with the navy I suppose so it works. In turn has got me to purchase all different shark clothing’s and my putter cover.

Well the tent survived the entire winter, and we had some really nasty storms. decided to get it down after some serious winds last week and it actually pulled one of my stakes out of the ground……couldn’t believe it. Tent survived and only has a small rip in a corner that can be hit with some tape. i am leaving up my hitting cage which will be nice and hopefully will be starting a permanent structure this spring/summer -
Morning all! It’s a yard cleanup day. Next week is looking pretty nice going to be prime time planting. Hoping it warms up a little bit today but doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. Headed to a lacrosse game tomorrow afternoon with my son and brother. Will be a good time! Enjoy the weekend all!

Just for you I didn’t take the initial post as a you didn’t enjoy the meetup. I thought you did a good joB and I read it as the positive, that you knew how you were perceived there but wasn’t how you felt. Enjoy the journey best ya can, in the end it is a journey on a road to be better than you are now. We all are on that road, different things we are going through but all looking to get to the same place.

Sounds like ya need another 9. But if you don’t always next week! Going to be doing it every Wednesday for socials.
-
If anyone gets rounds in today make sure you get some good photos! You could make the highlight reel for tomorrows social media post!

As always @Tom the Golf Nutand @cnosil with sound advice. Not sure I have an answer or even helpful advice other then just working on it. There ar probably some professionals ya could get help from even to just get some good things to do if something is happening in the moment. Leading up to a situation and having it in the back of your mind is just hard to shake (like doing a golf weekend you eluded to….tough to not go into another meet-up and ignore that and play poorly) working on that could be step 1. Happens with me playing against @GolfSpy BOS I literally play my est golf against him and it’s maddening . While I still don’t play well typically with him I have curbed my expectation when I am playing. Hope ya can work it out, I’m sure you’ll be able to.

True Stroke Putting Trainer - 2024 Forum Member Review
GolfSpy_SHARK replied to GolfSpy_BEN's topic in Forum Testing Reviews
Alright so our testers are getting into the "swing" of things with this test! With that we are looking to spark a little competition! The Competition Before getting to much training in our testers will be performing the following: 1) Putting 10 balls from 10' and seeing how many makes are made 2) Of those 10 putts if any are missed calculating total distance of misses (IE if you miss 3, measuring from the cup to the ball for a total of 6') Once testing is coming to a conclusion the testers will re-create the same 10' putts and go through the same evolution. Were there more makes? Less distance in misses? Hopefully a serious gain! So does anyone have any predictions on the winner between @cjeffs12 @MN.LeftyGolfer @DiverDown @Barley Spargewater -
