  1. Have my test pack of 3.0 and 4.0 coming tomorrow. Will be in play Tuesday.
  2. If I had unlimited funds I would certainly do this with wedges. Have a gamer set and a practice set that are matched spec for spec.
  3. Another thing I’ve practiced the last week is improving my green reading. I am a big fan of Rebellion golf and Monte’s work. Forgot I had this video as part of a series (you’ll need to pay and I won’t spoil the magic). Seriously I kinda laughed and then tried it on the putting green. It was insanely close and deadly within 10’. I then tried it at home (my floor is not level) and it worked there as well. Basically similar to aimpoint but uses triangulation. https://video.rebelliongolf.com/programs/voodoo-green-reading
  4. Wonderful. Looking really good and it’s awesome to see your progress! Saw you posted this in X and had to give it a try myself. It’s quite an amazing drill. I would do it in the past but never did the trail palm away from target. I think that is the key. Thanks for sharing! here is me doing it today filmed slo mo for anyone interested.
  5. I am glad you posted this. I see you played here earlier in the week and shot a 65. This goes to show the variability from round to round, even for really good players. Appreciate it and bad rounds happen. I feel better about my 102 I posted.
  6. I play where ever i can get a quick nine in at sunrise I mainly frequent Forest hills as it is always a challenge (and now realized i could play 18 there for $35 starting that early). I love to play all over. Unfortunately since child I have not been able to play the many different courses I love to play. I have not played any golf up in WA but have always wanted to.
  7. Short Putting it my bugaboo right now too. Keep grinding. We will figure it out.
  8. I do know Nick. All the way back to his meriwether days. Course is in great shape sans hole one. I presume they are either redoing that green or trying to recover the grass. The 18 I did was spur of the moment. I usually play two nines (front during week and back on weekend) as close to sunrise that I can. This weekend likely was a no go since they have an event so I pushed myself to do 18.
  9. This was forest hills in Cornelius
  10. Got out this morning and at the turn decided to play the back nine too. I was gassed. 47/55. Hit some decent drives and I am getting to the point of now selling my ventus the more I play with the KBS TD. Short putts still driving me crazy for some reason. Every putt has break and I am sycing myself out. I had one do a full 360 lip out for par. It was wet and windy and only 42 degrees. Great work out and I had the course to myself. Was tranquil despite not shooting the best.

Snuck this in before work in 3hr and 15 mins. Couldn’t get a par for the life of me on the back nine. Burned 2000 calories walking according to my watch.
  12. Interesting topic. I posted something elsewhere too and am on the fence to maybe move into a 5w: Always been a tinkerer of the top of my bag. Currently go: 16.5° Rouge st ls at 42.75” 21° apex uw 18° Caley DI looking at my last 15 rounds of data, I feel like I can consolidate some clubs. last year I was hitting it much better but still mostly off the tee. That longest distance was a tee shot in a tournament after my driver cog malfunctioned and I couldn’t use it the rest of the round. The 3i longest here was also a different setup shaft wise that could really bomb it but I couldn’t time it well and couldn’t really hit it off the turf. I now have a more optimal setup. 2023 stats With the Callaway trade in deal I thought why not trade in my two woods and get a TD 5w as I believe the shorter shaft and low spin could help. My 4w I sometimes play off the tee but if I’m not careful I duck hook it like crazy. I was fit for it 2 years ago but lately just haven’t gotten along. I also rarely use it off the turf unless I have a perfect lie and resort to my UW or DI instead. The UW is mostly great but seems to go similar distance to my DI when struck well. On the range I can squeeze a little more out but those are ideal lie situations. Have also thought of trying a different shaft profile in my 4w instead. I could also let my swing changes take hold and grind it out and see if as the year progresses I can get more consistent. Maybe need to try stone executive courses out to get more on course practice. Thoughts?
  13. Your gross under par doesn’t seem to add up fyi.

  15. I hear the df3 feels amazing and better than the df2. I have the df2 and it can get pings with certain balls but it’s not terrible outside. I play the new b x and I really don’t hear much.
  16. Hot dang a great group of testers! Hit them well. I may need to amp up my speed work to keep ahead of @Kenny B and hit new found distance here! Congrats all
  17. Best shot of the day 210 yard par 3 Caley DI to 15’ still three putted. Only second time I got a GIR here. Drive of the day cleared the trees and left my self with a 15’ birdie that I just missed. best hole of day. Great drive. Not so great approach. Chipped to 3’ for par.
  18. Had one of those days. I had three 3-putts due to lipping out 2’ putts. So frustrating especially after I was +1.5 SG putting on Sunday. Approach game was great and hit some decent drives. Also hit 45% of my GIR. Should have been a little higher but i fatted a GW on 3 and mishit a 7i on 7.
  19. Range and short game. Some NTC iron work. Then some trying to figure out driver. Picked up a kbs td shaft and actually quite liked it. More explosive than the other two I have and just as stable. Same head weight and weight position. Same tee height. kbs td 70g cat 4 ventus black 6x 44.5” accra tz5 m4 55 Then some short game work with chips and pitches. Then really focused on a body part system for distances. Seemed to work and now one less thing to worry about. 50° Knee high low 45 Hip high low 70 Shoulder high low 100 54° Knee high mid 20 Hip high mid 45 Shoulder high 80 58° Knee high 10 Hip high 25 Shoulder high 55
  20. 90 minute session today 25 mins on chipping and some pitching. Tried the steep mayo method and really struggled. Went back to my toe down approach, which I am also still steep, and was much more consistent. 25 mins on putting. My SG to start the year is better than last but still my worst metric. Did some around the world drill (with distances increasing at each ball like a snail shell) with different breaks. Practiced like on course. Then worked on some lag putting, first trying to make ones on the ladder drill. Then picking two different distances and doing 7 balls each. First ball was long, 2nd short. The rest try to finish between them. Last was an extended ladder drill going from 10’ to 60’. Last 40 mins on range. Working on NTC feels as my backswing is too long and my hips get out of sync. Also standing more upright is something I am working on. Slow swings then full speed with tempo app. Then slow speed. And then tempo. Also mixed in some feels on a diy shift board. Then some ground contact on divot board. Then some experimentation with 7i, 5i, DI with different ball positions and then diff ball positions choked down. Then some block practice with longer clubs (uw,4w and driver). Great session.
  21. I know you don’t have it here but I am in love with the versa type alignment. ( mind you I don’t have a df3………yet). I have not seen pictures in the wild of one so no idea if folks are even buying it. Love your choices though!
  22. Meriwether National has grass. It may be up to use in the next week (it wasn't last week). They charge $4 extra to use so a jumbo bucket (over 115 balls) is like $15-18 I think. If you go farther west, Quail Valley in Banks has grass. Pumpkin Ridge also does on the public side. Its $20 a bag though.
  23. Round had a crappy start but I finished strong. best hole: winding par 5. Nearly made the 39’ birdie. best shot: Caley Di to 30 some feet from the rough. Rolled right up to the green. Sadly three putted. drive of the day: beautiful baby draw. Sadly couldn’t covert from 100 out.
  24. Update from today. Getting more love for the DI. Had a ball in some rough and about 210 to middle of green. Hit it solid enough, landed and 25 yards short but rolled up onto the green for a birdie chance.
