  1. I tend to walk more rounds then ride so I usually have to replace my golf shoes every year/2 years. If there are no holes or issues with the spikes I will keep them longer. I have tried replacing the spikes but haven't had much luck because I wear the spikes down so much they end up getting stuck in the sole but the spikes get torn off.
  2. Definitely have a bias for Taylormade and Titleist, with that being said I do want to play my best golf so if there is another brand that suits me better and helps me play better I become biased to that brand. Coming from a baseball background I never liked anything Mizuno, went and got fitted for irons and the best irons for me at that time was a set of Mizuno irons. I would say I'm brand agnostic but its hard to want to put Taylormade and Titleist products in the bag.
  3. Mizuno MP18 PW from the set and Vokey SM8 in 50, 54, 60. Looking at upgrading my wedges and potentially adding a specialty PW instead of the PW from the set.
  4. I currently use the Taylormade P790 UDI, it's great club for an fairway finder, off the deck in the fairway and actually has been really good for out of the rough, even though it goes against what a lot of people who test them say. When I look down at a hybrid I just can't get myself to not say that it is going to go left (I'm a righty). I actually would prefer a 5w or 7w because a fairway wood doesn't have the same effect on me with going left. I just prefer the look of an iron over a hybrid. It is no doubt a preference thing for all golfers because when you look down at a club, you have to have confidence it's going to hit the shot you want it to. If you look down at a club and it doesn't give you that confidence then it is basically a pointless club in your bag and is a wasted spot that could be filled with a club that better suits your eye. Because if you don't have confidence in it, your not going to use it.
  5. Outside of my PW from my iron set I play 50, 54 and 60. I really only use my PW and 50 for 3/4, full shots and bump and runs around the green. I use my 54 for full shots, 1/2-3/4 shots, bump and runs and shots around the green with open clubface. I almost never use my 60 for full shots, it is really only used for shots around the green with open club face, greenside Bunkers, short sided shots and the occasional trick shot. I feel having this set up gives me the versatility I need but also does overcomplicate a round of golf. For the most part, when I get to my ball I have a pretty simple way of playing and don't get a way from that playing style.
  6. I'm currently using a SC Special Select Newport 2, absolutely love it but have been looking at adding a mallet to the bag to hopefully help with off center hits. I've looked at LAB Mezz and have heard a lot of people say how much it has helped their putting but definitely would like to putt with it for a little bit before breaking the bank to get one. Hard to beat/go wrong with a Scotty though!
  7. This is a great topic! I am definitely a morning golfer and if I don't have anything else to do or stuff to get done later in the day I will walk 99% of the time. If I have something I need to get done or I am golfing with a group of buddies then I will ride. I have always said that I play better when I walk because I feel like I am more focused on my game and hitting good shots. I don't want to be playing army golf if I am walking lol.
  8. Congrats testers! Love Mizuno irons and excited to see the results of the long game from Mizuno!
  9. I'm a big fan of Swannies, 1764, Adidas, really anything that is lightweight and breathable. As most golfers, I prefer to golf when it's warm and I like shirts that don't feel like they stick to my skin when I sweat.
  10. I have been an Arccos user now for a little over a year. I enjoyed it the first year because I had the 1 free year. It was pretty good at tracking my data and having the Link really helped with not having to have my phone in my pocket. As of late, I have been a little annoyed by it. It misses shots, it will add too many putts, so I do feel that there is more in round corrections. Its not a huge deal and to be honest I can remember every shot and every hole so I could just go back in after the round and make the corrections. Overall I think it's a good product just not perfect. I do like though now it is connected to USGA GHIN so I can just go in and upload my score from Arccos instead of manually putting in every holes score. Just makes it easier to track it both ways. Will have to make a decision next year if I truly want to renew my membership again or just solely use USGA GHIN only. May look into shot scope if there is not membership fee.
  11. Congrats testers! Looking forward to hearing all of your feedback on these wedges. They look great and have heard a lot of positives about Sub70 equipment.
  12. It has helped me just have a better understanding of equipment. They way MyGolfSpy tests clubs is beneficial for a scratch golfer to your high handicapper. I love watching YouTube reviews of clubs but the guys who test them are better than me so the club may be forgiving for them but for me it may not.
  13. I joined because I'm a golf junkie, I enjoy the reviews and helps when I look to upgrade clubs.
  14. Congrats testers! Going to be an exciting review of one of the best drivers ever made. I'm in the market to upgrade my driver and although I've always been a TaylorMade guy the Paradym is definitely giving a good run to find a spot in my bag. Can't wait to see the results.
  15. Congrats tester! Excited to hear what you all get back from the training.
