I was a tester in 2021 for the Arccos system. It performed well for me after a learning curve on my part. Yes, there were some missed shots, but those lessoned once I figured it out. When the subscription period was over, I switched to Shot Scope. The idea of purchasing it once, and not having a subscription, was appealing to me. Shot Scoped performed well for me, again, after a learning curve on my part. I came to a point though where it was pretty clear, after a period of time, that I needed to replace the sensors. About that time Shot Scope released a new wearable watch as well. Reading the reviews, and everyone's experience with it, it did not sound like something I felt I would take a gamble on. I made the decision to move back t Arccos. At that time Arccos was having a great 'deal', which was less expensive than the 'deal' from Shot Scope. Having used both systems, I cannot say I see a clear advantage to either of them, for my game. I suppose I will keep an eye out on both, and their latest technology, to move forward.

I'm in the planning stages of my annual trip to Pinehurst in July. Likely it will include 3 nights, and 2 rounds of golf. July can be horrible hot down there, but it is a tradition for my wife and I to spend our anniversary there. I did give her an out this year, asking her where she would like to go for our anniversary trip, and she responded Pinehurst with no delay in responding.

I am looking for a replacement for a 3 wood. I have given up trying to hit a 3 wood, but want something between my driver and 5 wood. I have received recommendations of a 4 wood and perhaps a hybrid. I am not going to rush into anything, and will take my time, hitting a few different options before I make a decision.

Thank you. Certainly something to look into

OK, to start please no negative comments. I really need something I can hit between my Driver and 5 wood. I have found I just cannot hit a 3 wood. My driver is about 200 yards(thank you wife for the fitted driver),and my 5 Wood is about 150 yards. I tried, and tried to hit my 3 wood but I just could not, so, sold it. I would really like something between the two, but have not found it.

There are times, like recently, that I am not able to play as much as I want. However when I do, I remember "God Dam, I LOVE this game". I love being outdoors with friends. I love that "one hit" that makes it all worth while. I am almost at the point where score, and the handicap, are not that critical to me as the experience..... almost. LOL

I had a surprisingly good round of golf yesterday. Due to various reasons, I have not been able to play in two months, so I was anticipating a very ugly round. However, it was not that bad. The new fitted driver my wife gave me for Christmas performed outstanding. Since I had only played a few times, I was curious how that would go. I was consistently getting 20, or more, yards from it than my previous driver. (I am kicking myself for NOT getting fit for a driver years ago.). Arccos performed perfectly, and my putting was acceptable as well. Oh, and the weather was great. The problem areas were the clubs between putter and driver! LOL

What Golf Ball Are You Playing In 2024?
Paul Hedrick replied to GolfSpy_APH's topic in Golf Balls/Shafts/Grips
I continue to use the ProV1x. At this point in time I do not see any reason to change. I get the distance I want, and typically they just 'feel good' to me. -
Typically I carry 12 balls in my bag. I do not loose as many as I once did, but the fear of running out is strong! LOL

How long do you play a ball before retiring it?
Paul Hedrick replied to aguybadatgolf's topic in General Equipment Talk
I do not loose balls like I once did. So, I will play a ball until it gets damaged in some way. -

Congratulations Testers! I am looking forward to reading you reviews of this club. -
After nearly 2 months (1/5/24), I was able to play a round of golf on Thursday (2/29/24). My schedule and the weather have not been kind to my golf game. Anyway, I knew it would be ugly, and tried to keep that in mind. So, yes, my game was not optimal. However it was not as bad as I feared it would be. My driving was the worst part on that day, but my short game saved the day from a complete disaster. Honestly I was just so happy to be on the course, I hardly cussed at all..... LOL

Typically I will have water and Gatorade Zero
-
I play badly enough when I don't drink, so for me, no booze on the course

Has anyone purchased the Link Pro yet?
-
The new badges look great! Thank you.

Today I received 3 identical emails from Arccos about their 'new' Arccos Link Pro. I am supposing they were thinking I might just ignore emails 1 and 2..... Anyway, I do not think I will be in too much a hurry to shell out $225 for the new link considering how how dismal version one was, personal experience, and the feedback I have heard about version 2. I am sure there will be those the order it right away, so I will wait to hear their feedback before I make any decision.
