  1. Heading to an XGolf sim Sunday morning for two hours with my brother. He games Tour Edge Exotics. I'll be interested what his thoughts are about the TS1's. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  2. Lofts are all relative to the club and maker. The trap I used to fall into was the " I always hit a 8 iron 140 yards" not understanding that lofts varied by manufacturer and within models and we're also affect by shaft profiles. In regards to the above comment:. When I went golfing with my brother, he would tee off on a 142 yard par 3 and be pin high. I'd ask what club he hit and use the same club, but was always short of green or short front edge. It wasn't until years later I realized his 8 was 38 degree loft and mine was 41. Interestingly, if manufacturers just put lofts on their clu
  3. No I have not. Can't even get time in a simulator right now..... Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  4. For this year I will have: Driver - Wilson Staff Triton DVD FW - Adams XTD Ti Hybrids - Cleveland 588 Gliderail Irons - Maltby TS1 Wedge - Wilson Staff PMP Putter - Carbite Polar Balanced So that's 5. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  5. From what I have read the founders bag has full length dividers. I'm intrigued by how the clubs rest. It should prevent the shaft grips catching each other. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  6. Anyone have any experience with this type of bag ? Good or bad ? I've added pics of two similar designs. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  7. So all the planning to build a set ended when I found a lightly used set on eBay. Spring can't come soon enough! Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  8. Just got my new to me sticks. Wish it wasn't 25 degrees with 5 inches of snow on the ground...[emoji58] Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  9. I might have a reading comprehension issue, but both your detailed listings say they are cobra ? Is the first listing for the Srixon Z forged ? I am assuming so, but we all know what assumptions lead too. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  10. I added some comparison pics: Club on left is a Wilson FG-17 blade Club on the right is the Maltby TS1 both are 7 irons. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  11. The FST 115 Stiff soft stepped might be an option. Looks like any swings I take over the next few months would have to be in a simulator... The Nippon Modus shafts are only available thru the custom shop. My gut says pick a cheaper steel shaft and if need be, reshaft after a year. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  12. So I received the TS-1 last week Monday. However, living in Wisconsin doesn't allow for nice conditions this time of year. Anyway, the 7 iron is plus 1/2" and 1 degree upright which is per a fitting I had many years ago. Has a Nippon Modus Tour 105 S shaft with a mid size grip. Last week Wed it was a balmy 39 degrees and since their is a winter wheat field behind my house, I took some swings from the yard into the field. Swing 1 - thin blade that let me know with a nice light stingy feeling. swing 2 - ditto and then same for 3 & 4. So I figured it had to be the cold and extra layers
  13. BTW, just nabbed a TS1 7 iron on ebay. 1 degree upright which is what I was fitted to 8 years ago. If I like it, then I'll order a new set for next season. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for trying. The TS1 looks nice, but that filled face. Is it clickey? I had Cleveland 588 TT's that were clickey when you hit it pure. Never liked the sound. Sent from my moto g(7) power using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks. Now thinking maybe just reshaft the 3-8 FG17 and then maybe build a set of TS1's from Golfworks or maybe the Honma 737v.
