🚨 Testers Wanted! 🚨

TWSM10-Feature.jpg

The new Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges were released in March of this year and have been a popular addition to many golfers' bags since. We are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges.

About The Vokey SM10 Wedges

MyGolfSpy Staff member Tony Covey has a complete breakdown of the new SM10 wedges here , which is a must-read, but the shorter version is Vokey SM10 is focused on three key elements: versatility, distance control, and trajectory, and maximizing spin. The Vokey SM10 lineup has six different grind options for a total of 25 different loft, bounce, and grind options.

This includes the M Grind that had previously only been available through WedgeWorks and T Grind that has also made its way to the retail market. The other options that a golfer must choose from are the finish, and the SM10 has three of them: Tour Chrome, Jet Black, and the new addition Nickel.

There’s more though; the Vokey SM10 has refined the shape and CG placement to help optimize distance control and trajectory. This works in tandem with their spin-milled grooves that have groove geometry that varies depending on the loft to maximize spin for each loft.

Titleist Wedge Selector Tool

Of course, all of this can be a lot to take in, so Titleist offers an online Wedge Selector Tool to help simplify things. It is a series of eight questions which gather various information about your current setup and game to help make the best recommendation on what setup would be best for you. To try it yourself, go here!

What Is Being Tested?

As previously mentioned, we are looking for four golfers to test, review, and keep a set of Titleist Vokey SM10 wedges. We want you to tell us how they perform in real-world conditions and play. Importantly, we also want to know how the Wedge Selector Tool works and if the recommendations are what you would normally expect.

The selected testers will go through a Titleist Fitting for their wedge set and see how it compares to the results from the Wedge Selector Tool.

Think you are the right golfer to participate in this test?

I have a PW and SW from a stock Costco Callaway set. I would love to see the improvement in my lacking short game from the extra practice a testing would force.

AWESOME, I have never had designated wedges, only the typical SW and PW that have come with a set of irons, even then I have only ever bought 2 sets of irons in my life so to test a set of specialist  wedges would be just awesome, especially VOKEY's.

Wedge fitting screenshot below.  Currently playing Apex DCB P and A set wedges, and SM9 52F and 58F.  Like all of them but am curious how the SM10 compares, and if the SM10 48 is a better fit than my set P and if the 58M is a better fit.  My wedge play is one of my strengths, and I enjoy trying different shots from different lies (bump and run, mid-flight, high/low spin, high and soft.  I'd love a chance to try the SM10 and would be willing to compare and share my experiences.

Thanks for the consideration.

Would be awesome to test how the proper grinds would affect my game!  Also, how the selector compares to the in person test

Another great testing opportunity! Thank you MGS and Titleist!

I just picked up a used set of Srixon Zx5's that came with a approach wedge. I figured I would use my Cleveland Zipcore 56 to use as my sand wedge as my last set of Mizuno's I was using the factory sand wedge and hit that pretty good. I put the zipcore in the bag and it was a disaster compared to the Mizuno factory sand wedge so that is back in the bag for now. According to the Vokey fitting chart this is what they came up with. Maybe it is closer to a factory set grid? Not quite sure. Thanks for the opportunity!Screenshot_20240418_204346_Instagram.jpg.b31d6f15a086bcfdc119ea248bc95f9b.jpg

I think I'm more curious to see how the test results from the wedge selector than the wedges themselves...

The wedge selection tool is actually pretty spot on from what I would have expected given course conditions and personal preference. Last Titleist wedges I had were the sm6 variety. Would love the opportunity to trial the sm10 with the suggested wedge grinds/lofts.

Sweet opportunity!

I took a look at the Vokey Wedge selector. It seems like it takes attack angle into consideration more than the Ping tool does. Would be interested to learn more behind that, hopefully I can join the call this afternoon!

Let's go!! Another great opportunity to test out the SM10 wedges. I currently have SM9s in my bag and would love to test the SM10s to compare. I've stated this before, but my neighbor's father-in-law lives in a 55+ community with an executive course and we try to play every Sunday. I will be able to test these wedges from tee shots to outside the green play. Good look to all and look forward to seeing reviews.
