Cobalt Q6 Rangefinder
Cobalt might not be the first name you think of when it comes to golf rangefinders. But, the brand has been in business for 25 years and claims that "We’ve pioneered the technology trusted by tour players across the globe."

Ultimately, golfers want a rangefinder that is accurate, optically sound, easy to use, and hard to lose. Cobalt believes its direct-to-consumer platform gives golfers more bang for the buck, and its lifetime warranty never requires a receipt.

However, guarantees are only as good as the product they cover. This is where we need your help.

Great opportunity to start the New Year off with accurate distance readings to gap your whole bag!!  I'm really looking forward to seeing the test results for this one!!

Gotto test in rain, fog and sunshine! But also battery life and laser longetivity. Blue tees eats battery, the battery lasts for maybe 10 rounds; tec tec tec laser dies after a year or two. Can Cobalt beat that?

I've already put in to see if I can review it.  It'd be interesting to see if there's much difference between this one and the AoFar cheap unit.  The cheap one seems to be pretty accurate, so I'd love to see how they compare.

I currently have a Leupold that has been acting up. Bought the new Nikon with stabilization but didn't like how the numbers kept moving around when I would shoot objects. I was really interested in the cobalt due to the red display so would love to try this brand out!

Live in a golf community in Florida.  Would love to compare the Cobalt with my Bushnell ION, GOGOGO Sport laser, and the GPS system on the carts at the golf courses.  Thanks for the opportunity.

I'd love a shot at testing this...weather permitting being in NY. But if I get picked, ill play some snow golf and see how it handles all the reflections from snow, that could be fun!

I can use it during hunting season while there is snow on the ground. 🙂  Winter sucks for golf ... most of the time.  I'll get out here & there but probably not enough for the test.  Good luck to everyone!

Interesting. Would like to see how it stacks up against my current Bushnell Pro X3/Arccos set up. Would especially be interested to know how it deals with/overcomes the issues I have with the Bushnell in the snowy/foggy winter rounds up in in NYC/North NJ where the laser sometimes bounces back off of the fog/snow and give a false return.

I would think that you have to have a very consistent swing to benefit from a laser finder. Use the caddy map in the cart and a low budget Garmin watch (Venue Music) to get distances to the pin at the moment. 156m vs 158m (170y) is not going to make much of a difference to me and my 7 iron. However, the Garmin watch is not very user friendly when it comes to getting distances to hazards during the round.

We will likely be announcing testers after the Christmas break. I'm sure many who applied will be getting a range finder for Christmas which could lead to some cool tests. If you do let us know here!

Until then browse the forum and we will be excited to have our test selections in the new year.

Never heard of this product which I find unusual, I would be intrigued if it was able to do the things I feel people need, like accuracy on the flag, accuracy for hazards, accuracy in over cast weather, had a bushnell’s forever then last year moved to a Leopold, would love to test this to see how it stacks up.

I've only ever used my Garmin Fenix watch golf feature for yardages while on the course. Seems like the rangefinders provide higher accuracy. Curious about opinions from anyone who has used both.

I use both all the time; a SS V3 watch for FMB #'s and a Precision Pro LRF. I find that sometimes the grounds crews are dyslexic and put the back (yellow) flag up front and vice versa. The LRF guarantees the numbers are spot on.

Would be great to see if it works in the Southern Hemisphere. As we all know things are different down under. Plus it is summer so it will be tested 3-4 times a week and I will have my wife test it as well so that you get a woman’s point of view.

Currently use Golfshot for my on course distance data. It would be great to take the Q6 for a test run.
I would be able to add an additional comparison review with Golfshot if that would be of benefit.
