What interesting people have you gotten paired with for a round?

I’d say my most interesting and disappointing pairing at the same time, was during our yearly trip to San Diego playing Torrey Pines South course. Got paired with a husband and wife in their early 60s, the wife had been bitten by a Doberman two weeks prior and had her hamstring torn wearing a huge knee brace like a offensive lineman. Her swing since she had no movement was a chip swing every shot 50 yards tops. If you have ever played there you know that is a recipe for a long long day. Nice people, just brutally slow. Needless to say it was a 5 1/2 hour round. Not going to quit on a $300 round of golf. Why would you even play for $300 to play like that. It was still a good day, the scenery was nice as well as the weather. Just not what I was expecting to be paired with.
