jblake0413
Hello fellow golfers, If there is one thing I know being a local resident in Scottsdale, it's where to play when you plan your next trip here. A lot of people instantly want to play TPC Scottsdale, especially when the Waste Management bleachers are set up, and while this is an experience you must have, this year is not the year. No structures have been built as of yet, and it's not worth the money this year whatsoever. If I had to give my list of 10 courses in which you need to play in the greater Phoenix area, this would be it. 1. Quintero - Hands down my favorite, and I cannot say anything bad about it. 2. StoneRidge - A course you may not hear much about online when looking up golf in Phoenix, it's just about a hour and a half north in Prescott, but it's beyond worth the drive for the experience. 3. Troon North, Both Courses 4. The Boulders - Both Courses 5. Southern Dunes 6. We-Ko-Pa, Both Courses 7. Wickenburg Ranch 8. Eagle Mountain 9. Whirlwind, Both Courses 10. Ventana Canyon. Of course there are numerous other courses I could've selected, but these stand out to me as some of the most enjoyable. Let me know what questions you guys may have regarding any trip to Phoenix/Scottsdale and I'll try my best to answer it. heavygolffeels and Headhammer 2 Quote Driver: PXG 0811X Prototype 9 Degree with an Aldila NV Green 65g X-Stiff, 1 Flat 3Wood: Titleist 915F 15 Degree with a Diamana Red Stiff Shaft 3 Hybrid: PXG 0311X Gen 2 with an Aldila NV Green 85g X-Stiff, 1 Degree Flat 4-PW: PXG 0211 Irons with Project X 6.5, 1 Degree Flat Gap Wedge: Mizuno T5 51 Degree with 8 Degrees of Bounce, S200 Shaft Sand Wedge: Nike 56 Degree, absolute garbage
Jmikecpa
Was there in March and played 36 at Whirlwind, Las Sendas, Talking Stick and Legacy. Fun trip to head out and play some different style courses. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I see you're a big PXG guy, I got my irons and hybrid fitted by them about 2 months ago and I can't say enough good things about them. I'm a big fan of Las Sendas as well, but it generally kicks the hell out of me and whoever I'm with. Some of the firmest and fastest greens with a lot of lines you don't feel confident taking off the tee Quote Driver: PXG 0811X Prototype 9 Degree with an Aldila NV Green 65g X-Stiff, 1 Flat 3Wood: Titleist 915F 15 Degree with a Diamana Red Stiff Shaft 3 Hybrid: PXG 0311X Gen 2 with an Aldila NV Green 85g X-Stiff, 1 Degree Flat 4-PW: PXG 0211 Irons with Project X 6.5, 1 Degree Flat Gap Wedge: Mizuno T5 51 Degree with 8 Degrees of Bounce, S200 Shaft Sand Wedge: Nike 56 Degree, absolute garbage

I unfortunately played Las Sendas and Talking Stick in a complete downpour (think had to buy new rain gear for the 2nd 18 rain). I played well when I was out there and would like to get back in better weather. If you get a warmer weekend, go to Prescott for StoneRidge, both are difficult with a lot of elevation changes and gorgeous desert views Quote Driver: PXG 0811X Prototype 9 Degree with an Aldila NV Green 65g X-Stiff, 1 Flat 3Wood: Titleist 915F 15 Degree with a Diamana Red Stiff Shaft 3 Hybrid: PXG 0311X Gen 2 with an Aldila NV Green 85g X-Stiff, 1 Degree Flat 4-PW: PXG 0211 Irons with Project X 6.5, 1 Degree Flat Gap Wedge: Mizuno T5 51 Degree with 8 Degrees of Bounce, S200 Shaft Sand Wedge: Nike 56 Degree, absolute garbage
