4putt4me
Looking for suggestions of what kind of turf to buy to make some mats and hitting strips for the new launch monitor. Just not sure if turf from Home Depot is good enough or should I find a place that deals in sports turf. Thanks I’m advance IndyBonzo and TG8 2 Quote J. Christman Link to comment

I'm sure you can go with a department store turf, but with credible options available online I would lean that way unless the sizes aren't to your liking. DannyDarts
I purchased a 4’ x 6’ piece of firm foam from a foam store we have. Then purchased the putting green like turf from Home Depot. Not the cheesy green carpet but the stuff that looks like a synthetic green. You can find the rubber Tee holders on Amazon. Gorilla glue turf to foam. Drill hole from the top for the rubber tee holder and install from the bottom. IndyBonzo and 4putt4me 1 1 Quote Danny Darts Link to comment
TG8
I met a guy who owns a newish company called “backyard birdies” he makes whatever hitting mat/strip/green you want and is super good on price. I used to diy everything but now for like $20-30 more he can make a professional one with awesome realistic feel and high quality turf.
