fozcycle Posted December 12, 2012 Share Posted December 12, 2012 A few weeks ago, one of our regular Saturday golfers said He was going to open a Play It Again Sports store in Sarasota, just south of Tampa. As such, he jokingly said he wanted to come over and get all the "extra" clubs in my garage......I really thought he was just joking, because the guys are always commenting on my conatantly trying different clubs. Well, I started thinking about it, and made a list. Then I checked Ebay for what the common prices were. Their philosophy is to price clubs to sell at about 75% of MSRP and pay 15% cash for them. I sent him the list and he said he was interested.....so, last night I turned over my inventory to him......I realized that most of the clubs would not be used and I also had an extra travel bag case and bagboy pull cart that had not been used....things my wife picked up at yard sales for next to nothing. Here's what he got.... Cobra S-2 Driver 10.5* Regular Cobra S9-1 3 wood 15* Regular Cobra SS350 Offset 10.5 * Regular with Unique Dave Leadbetter Grip used to train my grandsons. Titleist Vokey Wedge 58* Founders Club 56* ceramic wedge Square Two 7 wood Nicklaus 430 Airmax Driver Adams Ovation offset 9 wood Nickent 3DX DC #1 hybrid 14* with Regular shaft Putters: Odyssey White Ice #1 - Never used on course Slotline SL788 Warrior Custom Golf - Signature Series Mallet - Never used on course Ray Cook Blue Goose Ray Cook Gyro Mastergrip 415CR Plus a handful of others....including several sets of Junior clubs plus a leather Nicklaus bag I kept a backup set of Powerbilts(woods & irons) for when I am not playing very well and/or I have company and we want to play golf. After reveiwing everything, he was very pleased and offered me $225. Today, my wife is very happy as I have now reduced my golf inventory to just one backup set. Seriously - my wife would love me were I to do the same thing, I'd pick up a few bucks - that I could really use and I think I have some stuff here that would significantly help his inventory.
