Evenin all (well it is here)

So has anyone had a chance to try the Odyssey Tank or TM Daddy Longlegs?

These high Moi semi long putters seem to be getting quite good reviews but I trust you lot a hell of a lot more!

Oh and if MGS need a genuine belly user to trial one? Well I could squeeze that into my diary!

Planning to experiment with cutting my YES Sandy Mid down later, bring it down to 38 inches then see how it works - hoping to try the Odyssey in the near future......

Rest in peace long sticks - I'll remember you

I use a belly putter currently and I've tried the Tank but not the Daddy Long Legs, hoping to try that soon. Anyways, I wasn't the biggest fan of the Tank. I mean it's not a bad putter at all but I'll be happier with my Sabertooth belly for now. I didn't feel like it helped me out that much more than a normal Versa #7. I would actually get the Versa if I didn't have the Sabertooth. The concept is just not there for me, I don't like the belly/normal hybrid types of putters. Try it out before you buy it because you may like it a lot more than I do.

Tank and DDL are scheduled for a review :)

That's good to know! Putting is where I'm struggling the most this Spring and it's probably as much an "age thing" as anything else. I'm currently using an unanchored belly putter which seems to help with stability but I'm still getting used to distances and willing to try other options.

Crikey RP you've been fiddling with your putters even more than me! Spent an hour in the garage cutting a YES! sandy down to 38 inches the other night, initial impressions were that it was more stable than the short sticks I own but not as steady as my Nike Drone, Stx or never compromise Belly putters.

But of course I hadn't added weight to the grip end.....so perhaps it was a it light.

Very keen to try the Tank, so hoping my pro can get one in for me to try. Come on MGS get that review done - quick!

As for my game RP - thanks for asking - well my putting has been killing me again - been shooting low 80's with high 30 putts! Which is why I'm going through my putter collection looking for inspiration. However I've taken my old slightly shorter 40inch) STX belly out the last two rounds and putts have come down to 32/33. Including taking out some high handicappers in a pairs match a few days ago when my partner was having a shocker.

Even thought about going for the Sergio claw grip recently, but you do look a prat gripping it like that and not holing putts!

image.jpgThe Stx is quite an old model, it feels heavy in the hands. The roll is very good, no skidding, I've got the black insert in this one and that feels much softer to me than my nike drone, my Yes! Or my Never Compromise. Thats not to say it is - just feels that way to me.

The back of it has a big spike on it, scares playing partners a bit!

A dirty Tank? Interesting. What lengths are you trying, I'm interested in the 38 inch versions of both myself.
