  1. Happy Birthday @Steve F, @zrxgothmog, and @mackied Hope your day is the best it can be.
  2. Hope that you get feeling better soon @Kenny B and get the rest needed to be prepared for your cross-country trek. Looking forward to meeting both of you next week.
  3. @Northern Monkey I have the clubs in a similar arrangement as @Erin B and you are correct that the irons will get close or contact the wood shafts. I had Craftsman iron covers on my irons, so that wasn't an issue for me, but I the next round I get with the trolley I may rearrange the clubs as you have yours and see if it makes a difference. Hoping to get back on the course on Sunday with mine.
  4. Good morning Spies on a warmer but rainy Friday here. Supposed to clear up later today this afternoon, and weekend forecast looks to be quite nice with sunny skies and warm temperatures expected. @Northern Monkey glad to hear you at least enjoyed your event, and @SDunne best of luck to you in your upcoming event. Not much on my agenda today, did manage to get a round in with the Motocaddy yesterday, and planning again on Sunday. Motocaddy was flawless, and easily managed around the course, although it did attract a lot of attention and questions when first seen by others. Hope that something enjoyable is in your plans for today and the weekend, and that you make all your days the best they can be.
  5. Happy Birthday @tsheaffer23, @Pettitt95, @Kryz, @Medic170979, @CHINES63, and @Shedeur_McGavin Hope your day is the best it can be.
  6. @Dead Solid Bogey safe travels back to the House of the Dark Queen. Hopefully she may have actually missed you while you were working and will welcome you back home with open arms. Best of luck with the weather and free time to get some golf in over the next few days. I am with SWMBO at this moment at her son’s house celebrating a birthday for one of her 5 granddaughters and know your pain of too much or too many female people getting in the way of our hopes or plans. i did get a round in today, actually 20 holes and had my Motocaddy trolley out for the first time and it went perfectly well. The trolley garnered a lot of attention and kind of distracted my concentration on golf for the first few holes. Once the commotion settled down so did my scores. Have a great evening Spies!
  7. @jbern there is nothing in the Motocaddy manual that explains or recommends a bag set-up other than mentioning that an unevenly loaded bag may cause alignment issues while running it. I just got back home from the course where I used my trolley for the first time. Course is not the best for walking, cart paths are dirt or gravel, and only go part ways on any individual hole. Also, there is a long walk/ride from number 2 green to 3 tee box, and an even longer walk/ride from number 3 green to number 4 tee box. Then the walk from the green on 9 to the tee box on 10 is about 1/4 mile long past the clubhouse and around the 18th green area. Same on the back nine, long walk/ride from number 10 green to 11 tee box, and then not too bad until you get to the walk/ride from 17 green to 18 tee box. Actually played 20 holes due to a back-up, and an opening on number 7 tee box while I was waiting for 4 groups on 17. Played 7, a par 4 and 8 a par 3, then walked across the grass to the 17th tee box and finished my round. I took it with a full charge and when I walked off the course and loaded it back into the car it was still about 70+% charged. Had no issues with alignment or anything, but all I had in the bag was 14 clubs, a dozen balls, and a handful of tees. I am kind of a minimalist that way. Need to get to a family function, but can add more information later tonight or tomorrow.
  8. @Rob Person the bag provided is a "cart bag" style and it fits on the Motocaddy in the same way it would fit onto a motorized riding cart. Even when I used my ClicGear pushcart, these types of bags held the clubs in positions where they were easily accessed. Woods are towards the handle, and no issues getting them in or out.
  9. I walk about 75% of all the rounds I play. Only time in a cart is at a course which doesn't allow walking, and that course has now raised their prices so high that it now is off our list of courses to play. If I play in an outing or other similar event it typically is "carts only" so then I will ride. Used a ClicGear pushcart, but this year testing a Motocaddy for MGS and using that at this time. Now if the weather would cooperate more than it has, I would have more rounds played here in the Midwest.
  10. Good morning Spies on a cool and clear Community Call Thursday morning here. @Northern Monkey best of luck with the weather conditions and golf today. Hope to hear that all went well. I may not make the Community Call, as I should be finishing up a round on the course about that time. I may be able to catch the later part of the call. Did manage to spend some time at Carl's Golfland yesterday trying the new driver models, and although they all were good in their own way, none was such an improvement over my current gamer that I would change. Hope that something fun and enjoyable is in your plans today, and that you make this day the best it possibly can be for you! PS: @Swood1994 and @Byrnzee safe travels today.
  11. Happy Birthday @Turbo-Dad, @Da_Juice, @ShootersTour, @UsedToBeASlicer, and @Groucho53 Make your day the best it can be.
  12. Good evening Spies on what was finally a dry day here. I did manage to go to Carl's Golfland to compare some off the new drivers to mine currently in the bag, and after spending more than a couple hours there, I can honestly state that I came home with what I brought with me. Not saying that the new drivers are not good, just that there was nothing there that would have been a massive improvement of either distance or dispersion for me to change too, especially considering the prices. In my opinion, the Ping G430 10K Max is a true fairway finder, goes dead straight, just not as long as my current gamer and the turbulators on the head are distracting to me. Head is elongated, and have a shallow face. The Callaway AI Smoke Max spun too much, and the AI Smoke Triple Diamond was not as forgiving as mine, though the distance was similar to 5 yards longer. The TaylorMade Q10 standard head model was the best for me of these three tested today, but knowing that @GolfSpy_BEN had issues with two of them, made me reconsider that one. Round scheduled for 12:00PM tomorrow, first round with Motocaddy, so really looking forward to that. Have a great night.
  13. Glad to hear that the motor trimming corrected your concern!
  14. Good morning Spies on a cloudy and cool morning here, with no rain in the forecast for today or tomorrow. Have a tee time for tomorrow morning, first trip for my Motocaddy to see the course. I have been practicing running it around the yard, more to be comfortable with the operation of it so I will feel confident with it on the course. May try and go to Carl's Golfland today, I am thinking about trying both the new Ping and Callaway drivers to see how they compare to my TSR model. Need to get SWMBO on board before I attempt that today though. Hope that your day is the best it can be, and that something fun and enjoyable is in your plans. Less than 2 weeks and some of the Spies will be in VA.
  15. Happy Birthday @bumpandrun, @DutchSpy, @Don Figgins, @mizuno, and @Luvnflgolf Hope your day is the best it possibly can be.
  16. Congratulations @Michael.Sandoval33 on that accomplishment. Pretty quiet day here, cooler and random sprinkles so more inside work than outdoors. We did our dinner where the restaurant donated 10% of any bill to Leader Dogs and SWMBO and myself actually took my friend William and his dog Maize with us. We had a large turnout and also shard the information about Texas Roadhouse making that donation with a few other people also eating there. Have a great night Spies, hoping tomorrow brings us all more opportunities for doing things we enjoy.
  17. Congratulations on the milestone of 7 years and for your informative posts. Best part of this forum community is the honesty of all who post any information related to a golf product, course or piece of advice. Thank for being a large part of that Steve!
  18. @Rob Person I managed to watch your video series, and it is a job well done! Seeing that the Stix are lighter than what you had, may take a little adjustment to get used to swinging them with the weight difference. I kind of agree that the club identification on the irons could be a little more visually seen, maybe some paint fill would rectify that, although I do like the plain, black irons, as long as the performance is there too.
  19. Congratulations to this group of testers. Looking forward to the comments and reviews, Especially @Preeway to compare the + model to the original model.
  20. Good morning Spies on a cloudy Tuesday morning here in the Motor City. Wanted to also say "Happy Birthday" to @Kenny B, looking forward to meeting up in a few weeks in VA. @GolfSpy_APH Jamie enjoy your time away, relax and have fun during your "alone time" together. @buckpillar best wishes for your health situation. @Woodrow72 I know all too well about the rainy conditions in the Midwest, so hope you are able to get out today. Not much on the agenda today, doing some things around the house, and dinner tonight with my son, grandson, and a group of friends at a local Texas Roadhouse. They are donating 10% of today's total restaurant sales to Leader Dogs as long as one shows them an advertisement they created showing their charitable contribution event. Hope your day is the best it can be, and that something fun and enjoyable is in your plans.
  21. Happy Birthday @Kenny B, @03trdblack, @RoverRick, @C_Pelle, @Fazz, and @MagdaS Hope your day is the best it possibly can be!
  22. Welcome back @Luisddavila and think of it as a new opportunity for the future which should help with the transition. In other things more golf related, added my rounds played this year into the handicap system and saw my handicap increase to 5.2. Hoping it has more to do with early season course conditions, and lack of rounds over the winter than anything else.
  23. With my Red Wings having been mired in mediocrity the last 8 years or so, and missing the playoffs, as a long-time hockey aficionado I always will remain loyal and root for any of the "Original 6" teams before any expansion team. Even when Gordie Howe went and played with his sons, that sentiment has always held true for me.
