  1. Will keep you and your family in our thoughts and prayers, and feel free to reach out if anything is needed. Sincere condolences, but in a better place now without suffering or pain.
  2. No custom options on the Motocaddy trolleys, but we were required to select a bag option as well. Will know more when shipping information is received and then will post video/photos to show all items.
  3. Good morning Spies on a cool and rainy Tuesday Michigan morning. @EnderinAZ best of luck with your situation, and hope all works out sooner rather than later. @GolfSpy SAM great video, excellent all around and can only say great things about it. Also thanks for the information on the camera set-up too. @berkeleybob awesome picture, and it reminds me on walking through the woods near my Aunt & Uncles house in northern Michigan. @GolfSpy_BEN glad that the first day went well, and a fresh start in a new field or career path always presents new opportunities and challenges. Normal workday for me today, a lot of my day will be spent pulling data from various systems, and then adding details and formatting it for a meeting later this week. Super grateful and looking forward to testing the Motocaddy along with Jason, @StrokerAce and Erin, @Erin B Make your day the best it possibly can be, and hope that something enjoyable is in your plans.

  8. Intro. And About Me First a huge THANK YOU to the MGS staff and Motocaddy for this phenomenal opportunity for 2024 forum testing. I joined MGS in August of 2020, more to read the reviews on the forum, and the testing that the MGS home staff provides on all products related to golf. Became more involved with posting and the forum when the realization that the majority of people here will give you honest opinions during testing and reviews, as well as relevant and good advice if you have a question concerning almost anything related to golf. Personal Background Info. So, some personal background information on me. Lived and worked in the Detroit area my whole life, and my twin brother and I are the oldest of 6 children my parents had. Also had a younger brother, he passed away a long time ago, suddenly and unexpectedly, but he was only 15 months younger, so growing up we all had playing partners for any activity we decided to do. The 3 of us started golfing in 1966 when the local newspaper put on a summer lesson and play learning opportunity at a local course that ran for 4 years. We could play for next to nothing and did so every chance we had. Career & Mid-Life Information Really kind of had 2 halves of a working career. Spent the first 26 years of my working career as an automotive technician at various auto dealerships in this area. Mostly specialized in engine repair, transmission repair, and driveline or axle repair. Best part of this career path for me is that I can repair almost anything. Mid 1990’s life changed, and so did my career. Big D, but in this one I had custody of my 2 kids, at that time aged 7 and 5. Golf got put on hold for a couple years, but when they were a little older, we all would go to a city owned course on a Sunday afternoon and play a round. Kids too. Started my current employer in 1998 when I realized needed to find a job with some benefits. Planning to retire from this employer on April 30, 2024 after 26 years and getting close to the big 70 this summer. Met SWMBO in 2007, and we have been together since. Interests Outside of Golf In 2014 met a group here that either own a Corvette or were interested in the “Corvette lifestyle” with their activities being more social but also any event or activity they do that raises any monies, ALL that money gets donated to Leader Dogs for the Blind. We have an annual car show where ALL the proceeds are collected by Leader Dogs, and this club has been in existence since 1976 and to date has raised and donated over $325, 000 to Leader Dogs. My way of staying involved in the car scene but also giving back to those less fortunate. Testing Plan Typically, while working and the Michigan golf season allows me to play about 50 rounds per year. Usually walk unless course is cart only. My “home course” is Stony Creek Metropark Golf Course, and in this area we are fortunate to have rolling hills, and course has an elevation change of 468 feet over the 18-hole layout besides all the beauty and animals' nature provides there. Hoping to get at least a couple rounds in per week, will have more time than I ever had, and it can’t possibly rain or snow every day. I am testing the M7 Remote and selected the black and red Pro Series bag. Interested in seeing how it functions with the remote, can I maneuver it towards the green, and then the next tee box? How it manages the elevation changes? How long the battery charge will last, may be able to play 27 or 36 holes during a day on the course? I know that it weighs more than the traditional folding cart, but need to know how easily it will be to get into and out of a mid-sized sedan trunk?
  9. Great to see the efforts of the MGS forum staff paying measurable dividends. More members, more threads, posts, and still the great camaraderie that makes the forum a friendly place where everyone kind of looks out for the other members, to answer questions, provide assistance, and most of all offer an opportunity for personal interaction.
  10. 7 iron for me typically, smooth swing.
  11. Welcome @jpostema from the other side of the state. Be sure to check out all the other areas of the forums too, a lot of really good people and information here. A "tip" to get some exposure to the rest of the membership, be sure to check out the "Good Morning" thread on a daily basis.
  12. +1 on this statement. I had the bag for a while, but wanted to wait for the MGS ball pocket to be in place before I posted pictures. Coming USPS, so maybe end of the week for me, traveling from CA to MI.
  13. Congratulation Chris on the milestone, and for all your valuable input here on the forum.
  14. Best wishes with the new job Ben, @GolfSpy_BEN Hope it is all you want and need it to be!
  15. Good morniing Spies on a back to work Monday for me here in Michigan. Cloudy and cool, with a chance of rain most weekdays this week, so hoping to get to the range on Saturday, and a round in on Sunday as both those days look to be sunny and at least 50 degrees. April 1, so not only is it April Fools Day, but I only have 22 Monday - Friday working days left to go. Exciting times, but also chaotic, as with no replacement yet, I still have a lot to do, and want to make sure that I have done all that I could to see them succeed further. Hope your day is the best it possibly can be, and that something enjoyable is in your plans.
  16. Happy Birthday @Barry56, @JAXON DE VILLAIN, @Patpott, @Rthompson89, @CWEHKRAE, and @Golfizit Hope your day is the best it can be.
  17. Awesome work there @Tom the Golf Nut Looks great.
  18. Good morning Spies on a cool and cloudy Easter Sunday here. Family activities on the agenda for me today, and those are the times when cherished memories can be made. Hope that everyone here has the best day they possibly can have, and that something enjoyable is in your plans.
  19. Happy Birthday @vamosjackets, @Vernon, and @Indi Golf Hope your day is the best it can be.
  20. Awesome intros. by this group of testers, and really cool to see the glasses arriving and the fantastic looking case "headcover."
  21. @Rob Person made the perfect comment, anytime you can get out is great. For me personally, for many years played in an organized league on Saturday at sunrise. Had about 40 players, and first tee time was right around 6:00AM, and we all typically were done by 8:30AM then hand out any pot monies won over breakfast. League stopped a few years ago, and now while still working for me the group I usually play with all like 12:00PM (noon) starts on weekends. I live close to a course, so if time or sunlight allows, I can go and use practice putting green, bunkers, or range. I do play rounds whenever the opportunity allows on off days, but those starts are usually late morning through early afternoon, as SWMBO likes to come along for either the walk or ride. Retirement for me upcoming at the end of April, so I am quite certain my schedule will change due to the time I have available, and course availability.
  22. Good morniing Spies on a cool, cloudy, and hoping it is rain instead of flakes Saturday morning here in the Motor City area. Much later start for me, but after a hectic and busy week, as well as time outdoors in the fresh air yesterday, all added up to a needed longer sleep. Played yesterday, and the course was jam packed, so @ZJeb67 I hope that you don't run into a similar situation today. @MattWillGolf glad to hear that your wife is better today and wishing a complete and speedy recovery. PWS: Nice picture in your post too! My plans for today are to help with preparations for Easter church services and dinner afterwards with my children and grandson. Hope that your day is the best it possibly can be, and that something fun and enjoyable is in your plans.
  23. Happy Birthday @ZoonORama, and @dekape58 Hope your day is the best it possibly can be.
  24. I was able to get out and get a 9-hole round in this afternoon, posted in the "How Did You Play" topic, but weather was nice and sunny, cool and windy, and I played very well for it being this early in the season.
  25. Was able to get out for 9 holes this afternoon on a windy but sunny 50-degree day here. Course was jam packed, they had 5 groups of 20 players scheduled during the morning, and they played a scramble format, so that added to the time each group played each hole. Myself, I knew it would be slow going into this, so not a big deal, was happier to get out than anything else. Played reasonably well, although I did not plan to keep score or stats, but SWMBO came along and decided it would be a good thing to do so we wouldn't push or be waiting on each and every shot. Hit 6 of 7 fairways, missed the opening hole using a 4 iron off the tee, but hooked left into trees and then a punchout to hit that green in 3, and then proceed to 3 putt on slow and uncut greens for a double. Righted the ship, and only had 2 bogies where I missed the green. I hit 6 of 9 greens in regulation, so iron play was good too. Rain moving in tonight and forecast doesn't look good again until next weekend. Hoping at this time to get a full 18 in next weekend.
