  1. For Me, it has to be my Titleist 690.MB irons. Love the profile, turf interaction and long blade length. Driver- Taylormade R580XD- I could hit any s*** with it. Doesn’t have the distance of todays drivers, but it was a great club for me at the time. fairway woods- the Cobra F7, such balanced performance and accuracy. Amazing turf interaction with the rails. wedges-Taylormade mg3 wedges. Never had a wedge be better for me. putter-Ping Anser 2- the OG that started it all.
  2. Haha, ya it was almost jubilation. I guess I’ll take that spot with pride. Almost felt like playing just the tip. Feels good but you’re not quite satisfied. Lol.
  3. Dang man, that’s a heartbreaker. Roller coaster of emotions thinking you have it and then the disappointment of being so close. But hey, always nice to have a birdie on a Par 3, eh? Hopefully soon!
  4. I’ve been playing golf for the better part of 25 years. I started pretty young going to the range with my dad. I’m still searching for my first hole in one. Been close only a few times. The closest I’ve ever come was a near dunk at westlake golf course from 160yds. It Ricocheted 30 ft right onto the fringe and left me a brutal left breaker downhill which I somehow made. It helped to take some of the sting out of it. Haha. Maybe someday….
  5. Given the lie, I would take an 8 iron and bump it up there.
  6. Looking forward to the results. I reference previous ball tests multiple times/year as I try out new balls. The data is always fantastic info for gear heads.
  7. Congrats testers. Especially Interested in hearing about the TD version!

  9. Congrats on the selected testers. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
  10. Personally,I play blades (Hogan Icon irons) and have been playing blade or muscle back irons for the last decade. I just prefer the look, shape and most importantly the turf interaction. I love the v sole of icon irons and it just fits my swing. I’ve toyed with going down the GI route lately and tested quite a few irons. but through all my testing, it has reaffirmed that the clubs I currently use are the right ones for me. It has also shown me that turf interaction is a really underrated part of the club fitting process.
  11. Congrats to the testers! Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts on these irons.
  12. I played in a fundraiser tournament this past week ant Moorpark country club and we were playing pretty well as a group. On the second hole of the canyon crest 9, it’s a par 323 yard par 4 up the hill with hillside on both the left and the right.l, with the hill on the right blocking part of the green sight line. Bunkers protect the front of the green and there are houses behind the green. I hit driver off the tee just trying to make something happen, it looked good from the start and was straight as an arrow. We couldn’t see where it had landed until we drove up to the green. It was sitting 6 ft from the pin with a pretty straight uphill putt for eagle. I sank the putt for my second eagle of the day. Things got hype!
  13. Went down this same path recently and tried quite a few balls. I’m a high swing speed high spin player that was looking to reduce spin in all areas except green side and within 50yds. The AVX is a great ball and would say that it’s probably the best option overall. However, I like a good value and have found that the Vice pro soft is a great option for me. I play it in the drip version and love it. I’ve also played the maxfli tour S and found it to be another great option. However, if you take advantage of Vice’s bulk option, it’s by far the best ball for the money and represents great value.
