  1. I actually thought of that while practicing, but hadn't quite put into practice. It's good to know someone has had success with it.
  2. Played Goshen Plantation outside of the city limits of Augusta, GA. The address is technically Augusta, but it's 25 minutes away. Met the owner, Spike Kelley, who played sparingly on the PGA tour, and won the Buick Open in 1975. He also happened to be a 2 time runner up of a small pro tournament at a course I worked at in college, in the town next to wear I grew up. Small world. I teed off on 1, then watched this 75 year old man get on a fairway mower and start working. Honestly, I'm jealous and miss the days of cutting grass on maintenance crews. Tale of 2 nines, score wise. Actually hit the ball pretty well on an unfamiliar course. Par 5's were in the 500 range, so definitely reachable, if I hit the fairway. I have a 2 way miss, and my one thing I can't fix is my lack of turning hips. I like to "slide, slide, slippity slide", as Coolio would say. Pull hooks or push cuts. Even trying to his a slice doesn't work. Anyway. putting and chipping was good. zero 3 jacks. some up and downs. I actually hit 55% of greens and 50% of fairways. The fairways surprises me, since I remember my bad misses. 31 total putts, and one chip in. I wasn't close to pins, so 31 putts was good for me. Total score was 77, course net of 68 from the blues, which play about 6700-6800 yards. Score wasn't lowest this year, but probably the best given the course/slope ratings.
  3. These clubs look amazing, and in LH. Signed up hoping to win a little staycation.
  4. Date 07/01/2023 Course Name Goshen GC Gross Score 77 Course Handicap 9 Gross Strokes over/under par 5 Net Score to Par -4 Net Score 68 Net Birdies or better 1 Longest Drive 291 Strange round. Couple of blow up holes on the front. Still pull hooking. Anyway. 41/36 rounds. Short game and putting were good
  5. Got a testing session in today. a little frustrated with the rapsodo mlm, but may have been my phone being in a case. I received enough answers to give a good result, but may try one more session on Tuesday. Played golf yesterday while visting my mother again. Played 9 wiht the Sqairz, and 9 with my FJ's. Scored better with the FJ, however, I had a blow up hole due to a terrible shot with my driver, and had zero to do with the shoes. It's my swing
  6. Picking up a launch monitor Thursday. Hope to get two range sessions in this weekend to truly see distances
  7. I know everyone is different, but these don't feel heavy to me, compared to my FJ Contours. How long did it take to wear out? I've played 6 rounds in them, and had a couple of range sessions,

  10. I’m down in Augusta Ga checking on my mother. Tried to get on a local course today but it’s closed this time of year for renovation and honestly I’d never get invited anyway. I played Augusta Municipal. I sucked. My course handicap is a 3 and shot a 83. Not good at all, especially with 3 birdies. More work to do
  11. I will second the hot feet thing, but I’m ok with it. Also I was concerned that a higher heel back would rub. I’ve had issues of bleeding with former shoes for years and would often have to put band aids on my heels to golf. I haven’t had issues at all. They rub slightly as all shoes night but I don’t really notice any damage to my heels
  12. Now that I’m a little more comfortable in these shoes I’ve gained up and down the line. While it’s easiest to tell on drives, I’ve tried clubs that I used to hit at certain distances and am closer to those old distances than I was with other shoes. For example my 7 iron was my 165-170 club years ago and in the past year it was my 155 club. I’m confident I can hit it 160-165 at this point. That’s huge to me.
  13. Date 06/18/2023 Course Name Knollwood GC Gross Score 84 Course Handicap 4 Gross Strokes over/under par 14 Net Score to Par 10 Net Score 80 Net Birdies or better 1 Longest Drive 0 Today sucked again. Trying to keep that angle longer. Better shots than yesterday but and overall worse score
  14. Better misses today. No thins. Better shots, worse score
  15. I also had a couple of high 280 shots. Even a 265 with my 3W. Off the tee, I'm seeing a difference, but not much off the fairway. Again, my swing needs to adjust to the slight height difference from what I'm used to.
  16. Date 06/17/2023 Course Name Foxfire GC - Grey Course Gross Score 84 Course Handicap 10 Gross Strokes over/under par 12 Net Score to Par 2 Net Score 74 Net Birdies or better 0 Longest Drive 296 First round in the Sqairz. A different feel on the shots, but really comfortable.
  17. Interesting first round in these. My misses were different. I was thinning. Got home and saw the difference between my worn out FJ's and the Sqairz. I was almost an inch higher in the Sqairz. I will say, when I did connect with my driver, it did go. I felt really connected to the ground. The attached pic was my longest drive today. I’m usually a 270 guy so this was a pleasant surprise. Could be several factors including the shoes
  18. I've never tried Peter Millar or the scotty shirt, but I second the Callaway. I have one that I wear all the time
  19. A lot of great stuff here. I wish I was home for this, but glad my excuse was to see my son graduate.
  20. It was a pleasure to speak with you, Bob. I was just in Bangor and it was not the same place as I remember even 3 years ago. Having the shoes waiting for me when I returned home today was wonderful.
  21. Initial impression is up. This is a pretty cool shoe so far. I know I missed something on my initial, and may make updates
  22. I was shocked to hear it, but some people called it months ago. It’s too early to see a winner in this. LIV players seem pumped, however, some are saying LIV is essentially dead. I doubt it’s totally dead. Rory and Norman were throwing shade at each other and both were out of the loop. I’m more surprised that Norman was left out and makes me think he’s gonna be unemployed. so this the second time Norman wanted to be a lead in a breakaway type league that eventually falls under the PGA Tour (or his idea for the high paying special events). I’m awaiting Rory, Tiger, Greg, and even Jack to make statements. and this new for profit league. All of these guys wanted to play less (so they said). so much to process. Thankfully I’m on the road the next 7 days. Maybe we’ll know more
  23. Date 06/03/2023 Course Name Knollwood GC Gross Score 71 Course Handicap 4 Gross Strokes over/under par 1 Net Score to Par -3 Net Score 67 Net Birdies or better 4 Longest Drive 0 Actually did this correct this time.
