If my option is to trade something in my current bag for something off the shelf I’ll pass. Everything I have is custom fit so I’ll stick with it. Now if the question was trade something out for a free fitting the only untouchable clubs would be my driver and putter

General bias - Forged is better than cast no exceptions. Positive equipment bias - Titleist golf balls and Vokey wedges are far better than everything else on the market. Negative equipment bias - mizuno makes great irons, crappy everything else. Cleveland/Srixon is second tier to Titleist, Callaway, and TaylorMade in everything. indifferent equipment bias - DTC products like sub70 I’ve heard a lot of positive things about but would need a specific reason to try them

I’ve got Srixon zx5 irons and Vokey SM8 wedges. I went through a full bag fitting at true spec to select these. I loved the fitting experience but the the post fitting customer service left some to be desired. in order to switch I’d need to see consistency better ball contact that resulted in more distance and tighter dispersion.

My favorite player is Max Homa. Seems like a fun loving guy who doesn’t take himself to serious. I also admire how he bounced back and forth between the PGA tour and and Korn Ferry when he first got his card. Never gave up and is now top 10 in the top 10.

PM is a great brand and quality fit on me. I’ve been buying a lot of Dunning and Straight Down lately.

I’ve got two that are reasonably close. Within 20 minutes of my house in opposite directions are Old Chatham and Raleigh Country Club.

I try to be there 45-60 minutes early. I like to spend about 20 minutes stretching, 10 minutes on the range and 10 minutes putting.

I put a green dot over the last T in Titleist on both sides.

I prefer to walk. I find it helps keep me loose gives me more time to flush a bad shot. The only times I take a cart are if it’s required or I’m playing golf with my wife.

Add Mizuno to the list

The head pro at my club was pushing mizuno golf balls the other day. I’d never heard of them. Has anyone tried them out?

For those of you who’ve tried Arccos and similar products, what have been your results?

I did end up buying them. I like them a lot so far but still trying to dial in the gaps.

I went through a fitting at Club Champion this winter and these were the irons I hit best. I feel like I hit them well but less consistent than my previous irons. Anyone else who got these irons have thoughts?
