    Shot Scope V5

       221

Good luck to all the entrants !

I currently use the V3 and am content with it for now, but will be very curious to see what the testers think.  Follow the SS thread for some time now, and think Shot Scope is a great company.  I do hope there are not as many "hiccups" with this release as there were for the X5.

  1. Another great opportunity for the Forum !!

Go team, simply amazing !!!   Definitely signed up for this one as I've been testing drivers throughout the winter to try and find that next level fit.  Go figure, I haven't found it yet, but maybe, just maybe this is it.🤞

Signed up for the Max model as that is what the online fitting suggested, but was extremely tempted to try for the triple diamond, as too high of spin is the monster I battle the most.  One thing that I have discovered during my search though is how big an impact the lie angle has for center contact, regardless of the shaft.  At least for me so.  The MAX model better aligns with that for me.   It did seem you could have this "adjusted" with the online customization however, which I found extremely interesting !

Good luck to all that enter !

The team usually seems to find the most appropriate testers somehow, so keep up the great work !!!

  2. Absolutely fascinating concept !!   I'll be checking in on this one for sure.

I've tried sooooo many driver shafts over the winter, and still really not sure what a best fit is.  Doing OK, but I just feel like there's the almost perfect fit out there.  Maybe that's just the infinite pursuit in golf , LOL !

Not even remotely close to a fitting location, so not signing up, but good luck to all that enter!

Will be very, very interested to see how this turns out.

    SQAIRZ VELO Shoe

       153

Very, very interested in this test.

I have a pair of the Speed Fire model currently and I do like them.  Very stable, waterproof, and mostly comfortable.  I'm not sure I've really seen the "faster" benefit as they've always claimed.  Definitely a bit heavier than other shoes I've had for sure.  Along with the other claims of how these are better, they seem to indicate all of the new models are lighter, which would be even greater.

Would love to be chosen to compare these to the original model and other shoes completely.  Actually been checking their website lately and considering picking up another pair, possibly a deal on a previous model, but why not try the latest and greatest if the opportunity arises !!!!

Good luck to all that enter !

    PING S159 Wedges

       400

Yet another great testing opportunity !!!!  Good luck to all !

Very curious about these and would love to test them hard against my two Edison Wedges !!

Did the wedge fit online, but it only revealed some of the info, not all of it.  Redid it on my phone for the "full fitting".

    Star Golf Grips

       109

Perfect time for this test.  Learned about these recently and was strongly considering ordering a set.  Replaced my first grip last week via air compressor, and these really appeal to me for that reason.  Almost ordered them, but let's see if I'm selected first.

REALLY, REALLY love the fact that you get a free grip gun with an appropriate purchase.

Good luck to all entries !

I've been using a Probe 2.0 brass double sided blade for about 5 years after I discovered my Odyssey Red Ball couldn't swim.  I'm a lefty and I was never a good putter except on those long breakers that don't mean anything.  When I was afflicted with the serious yips, I putted right handed until I was ablle to right the ship, which took about 3 weeks.  I tried lead hand low but it was very awkward but worked when I putted right handed.   I missed a 14" putt Monday playing alternate shot. I hate letting my partner down.

I live in Florida now so I can devote 12 months to test the new putter rigorously.  Swimming is not an option because my home course has NO water which was the developers plan.   My putting is so bad I had to resort to an ace so I wouldn't have to putt.

    Genius solution !!!!

Wish I had thought of it.   Actually, come to think of it, I did get my first last summer, but didn't realize it was only to avoid having to putt it out.  Think I'll try it again, LOL !!!!

  4.  A lot of sign ups for a very intriguing test.  I strongly considered it, but after hemming and hawing, decided not to.

Pretty happy with my current putter and didn't want to fork out for the fitting.  Thought it a better opportunity for someone else.

STRONG START TO THE TESTING SEASON !!!

I don't believe 2024 testing could possibly top last years, but early returns say I just may be wrong about that.

Keep up the fantastic work Forum !!!!

  5. Just another great testing opportunity from the forum.

    NICE !

Saw some of the new models at Golf Galaxy the other day, and they are sharp.  Of course made my first 3 putts trying it out so obviously, I must need one, right ?  Would strongly have to consider purchasing that putting green instead of the basement carpet if chosen.

Good luck to all that enter !

  6. Definitely the best testing year I remember.  Kudos to the team !!

Thx to Cnosil for the info.

I agree the virtual fitting is the key, as the fitting guide doesn't steer very much as far as the mallets are concerned, imo.

Without the fitting, this would be my selection:

Good luck to all entrants !!!!

Hmmmm I'm unfamiliar with that page - but then, I never go to the dashboard, I always end up using the app.

EDIT: Phil, I just went to the dashboard - thx for pointing me to this page. I'm definitely going to set-up the Zebra in my current account. Note, I don't care about my other Ohio clubs so I just won't list those.

  8. Another intriguing test opportunity for the best Forum out there !

Maybe someone can point this out, and it's probably something simple I am overlooking, but for the life of me, I cannot locate the answer on their site.

What is the difference between the LC, MC, LH, and MH models?  I'm assuming the C and H indicate the hosel placement, center or heel, but is the M and L men's and ladies?  The models seem very similar for that to be the case.

Also not seeing anything about toe hang specs for any of the models, which seems unusual.

Saying all that, the Drac model looks pretty sick and happens to have a special promotion this month !

  9. Another awesome test opportunity !

Thanks MGS.  Good luck to all that enter.

Checked out all the different available models, holy cow, plethora of choices.

Think I know which one I would choose, but I better wait until I'm selected before making the final call, LOL !

  10. How in the world is MGS able to get all of these incredibly great test opportunities !!!

I'm beginning to believe it will never end, and let's hope that's the case !  Keep 'em coming.  I am a little worried I'm spending too much time on the forum with all of these test reviews, and not enough time playing golf.  Perhaps that's why my scores keep going up.  Oh well, I'll suffer through it with the rest of you, lol.

Good luck to all that enter.

  11. Oh YES please !

Beautiful wedges !  Remember reading about these when they came out.   I'm really trying to improve my short game this year, and have been tinkering with several different wedges to find the right fit.  A couple of these would fit right into the mix wonderfully !  Currently gaming an Edison, Vokey, and Cleveland.  All have their pro's and con's.  Would feel very fortunate to be selected as a tester !

Good luck to all that enter.

MGS, keep all the great testing opportunities rolling !  So many to check in on, I'm having a hard time getting onto the course, LOL.

    YOU'RE KILLING IT !!!!!

  12. Great looking cart !  I would like to give this a go and compare it to my other 2 carts.

Original cart is that old basic drag behind square metal, bent tubing with 2 straps that the bag always twists and turns the entire time.  When I walk with my wife for a round I'm lucky enough to reminisce about the good 'ol days with this dinosaur, IFYKWIM.

Second cart is a huge upgrade to a Bag Boy S525 ( I think that's the name) I picked up at a  Goodwill for $10.  Works OK despite the rust and bald tires, so it's still the good one.  2 wheeler that I sometimes jam into the turf (and my belly of course) when not aware of an incline.  Yeah, you guessed right, my wife gets this one when we walk.

So if chosen for the test, at least I'll always get to use the 'good' one, lol !

Good luck to all that enter , and thanks again, and again, and again for all of the terrific testing opportunities !

    WELL DONE !!!

  13. Fascinating concept !

Personally, I cannot get to a point to leave some clubs out of the bag (even on a par 3 course, lol), and my carrying days are over, so a stand bag is not in my future.

Very curious to see what the feedback on this bag will be with the removeable pockets.  Seems like a great idea

  14. Count me in as one of the followers for this test.

Not signing up because I just started my own speed training with another similar product.  Don't have any way to actually measure my specific swing speed, but I think the results will pretty much speak for themselves.  Looking forward to the feedback and any tips that might come along that I might be able to piggy back on.   Seems to be pretty well accepted that this training provides at least some benefit for anyone that takes it up.

Good luck to all that enter !

BTW, soooo many great testing opportunities all ready this year, and I get the impression there is a whole lot more coming down the road.   Yowza !!

HATS OFF TO MYGOLFSPY , MYGOLFSPYFORUM, AND EVERYONE ELSE  MAKING THIS ALL HAPPEN !!!!!!

Hope you are all getting the kudos you deserve!

  15. OK, so I signed up for this and probably will not be picked, but I REALLY HOPE I AM !!!!!

Was just at my local PGA Superstore and saw a few models on the floor.  Have tried them out once before and was impressed, but after today, was absolutely stunned how the off the rack models seemed to perform, and felt fantastic.  Super solid.

Knowing that LAB custom fits individuals in their own way, would be exceptionally pleased if I am chosen for the test.  Open to any model suggested.

Putting was my weakest link for most of last season, and oh how it would be great to stabilize that part of the game.

Don't care how they look if they perform as well as they did for me just briefly today.

Good luck to all that enter, will be following this one closely.

  16. Wow !!

What a great string of testing opportunities for the Forum.  Hope they keep rolling.

Have come really close to pulling the trigger on the quad tour grip, but I wanted the taper one so I didn't get it.  This would be a great way to try it out, fingers crossed I get the chance.

Will be following this and several of the other tests.

Thanks to MGS, the Forum, and Garsen for another awesome testing chance !!!

So cool to get any of these products into the "average guy or gal's" hands and get their feedback, not just the industry's.

    Good luck to all.

  17. Good luck to all that enter, I'll be very interested in the reviews that roll in !

I'm not signing up because I have been playing the Elixr ball as my gamer for the past year and feel it is easily the best value on the market.  I've come across many, many balls on the course and tried them out, especially the various DTC balls I've found or purchased to try.  OnCore's have performed and held up the best.  As I've commented in other posts, the X1 performed well for me also, but their performance was so close, I stick with the Elixr.

I've noticed several comments about playing these in the wind, and I believe they do perform nicely in the wind, better than most balls.

OnCore delivery is timely, and I've not experienced any backorder issues like many other DTC brands.   They also have promotions regularly, so there's often more ways to save additionally on top of the all ready lower prices than the top premium balls, FWIW.

Looking forward to seeing what other golfers have to say, and thrilled OnCore is part of the discussion.
