eh I decided to come into work, probably will leave as soon as I finish some stuff. Still sound like I should be doing movie trailer voiceovers. Not ideal. Definitely trending in the right direction still, though this may put a kink in my plans of starting that retaining wall this weekend Depends on how my strength holds up.

Got my unboxing up. Now that I only feel like slight butt. Playing tuesday wasnt smart lol. Ive been home today and yesterday. Bonus though.... whatever throat thing I got going on has me like two octaves deeper so im constantly sending my friends voice messages along the lines of "Well Bruce.... Im GOD".... yeah its that much deeper for me its funny. I am a very very pale James Earl Jones.

Well first go out with the shaft and still wasn’t feeling well. My game reflected that. Kind of lost some of my mechanics for longer clubs, also was quite down on strength too. pretty low even by my standards. Anyhow it started off ok (shotgun league start). Picked 18 the hardest hole. Decent hit but spun it a ton and so it turned over pretty hard. This was a theme for the day. So we moved on and shockingly my condition didn’t improve neither did my golf game. At this point I’m pretty gassed. Probably shouldn’t have played today but excitement got the betters of me. Last driveable hole and… I clipped a single branch on the farthest right tree… kicked it into the lake. Would have been the best one of the day and had a chance to make the green (roll was wild if you hit fairway). That last shot showed me the promise of the shaft. So this wasn’t a really fair test I suppose… but if it was manageable when I was at my worst? I can’t wait to have a round with it where I don’t feel like death warmed over.

*confused golfer noises* Head fits fine just not sure how they are different. One goes down an extra .5* though. Not feeling the best today so gonna snooze and hopefully recover before golf this evening.

It is monday, but the news isnt all bad. The fujikura shaft is out for delivery today so at least something for me to look forward to this afternoon. Then league tomorrow. Overall not a bad way to start the week. edit: though I do have some sad news. my poor little shotscope H4 did not survive the charity scramble friday. It is now one with the grass on some hole. It departed my cart at an unknown time sadly. Welp... that was a very expensive round of golf. not sure ill be replacing it though as at 140.00.... ugh nope.

My dad (68) plays the stock regular flex hazardus oranges that the callaway mavericks came with, he seems to get on alright with them. If I misshit the ball he can keep pace with my distance which is saying something (hes a better player than me anyway). So while I have him on speed, he just hits the middle of the face damn near everytime.

Hah did I call you getting it first or what? Also that looks stunning. Cant wait to see how this looks with my sim2max head on it.

Oooooo. delivery now showing up a day earlier. This is great news as my golf league is tuesday so I can make sure it showed up correct and undamaged.. then not be rushing on tuesday with it showing up haha.

If I were not playing taylormade I’d have a whole set of these. Just so good. Had a rental set while in Hawaii so got to try all the woods. The irons when I got fitted were my #2 choice. So very much not a golf purchase but couldn’t resist a 10% off sale.

What was really curious is my AoA is 5* up on average sometimes spiking up to 7*. My AoA was on average 5-6* up across both shafts and multiple different Qi10 heads, and even my stock gamer sim2max. Totally changed how I approached my driver setup, tee height, and loft setting.

Still waiting on shipping so Ill dump out some previous trackman info. I will be gathering new data as this was done when I was hungover (mistakes were made). Only about 15 shots here, but this was my sim2 set at 9.5* (im not sure if the whole set, I wasnt entering club info in so couldnt keep track easily). under 97 shows how uh "on the injured list" I was at the time haha. This was more towards the end of the session. Here is probably at the beginning of it. Im much faster usually, now these are airswings. On course im probably in the 100-103mph range with a ball (245-285 total distances typically). Ill be getting new data of course be intersesting to see how my hitting is when im not playing "hurt". Plus keeping a much tighter reign on data tracking. Im debating removing flat out misshits for the posts. Me topping a ball doesnt tell anyone anything about a shaft, just that I hit it so poorly I damn near missed the face. I did get to hit a regular ventus TR blue on a qi10 head so not a real head to head comparison, but at least gives me something to look back on.

Absolute mixed bag of nuts on this one. Took me 4 holes to sort my damn driver out. So many recovery shots from under 150yd just to get back in play. My nemesis hole also killed me (18). I was pretty sore from working on my car for two days lol.

Its amazing to me still how fast an effortless swing tends to look on camera. But man, that spin is murdering your distance.

No idea lol. Its a wrx so Im not sure what they sourced for the oem pads as far as something sportier? maybe harder wearing? Dunno. Either way happy to not have to also do a brake job as well. Golf league on a tuesday that feels like a monday becuase holiday. It MIGHT actually be DRY today... holy s***. no 40mph winds either? BOYS (and gals) IM GOIN LOW TODAY.

Sigh… welp. At least parts store had them in stock. I’ve never mashed BUY quicker. Ever start threading at lugnut on and the threads just give out completely? Granted I shouldn’t be surprised. The studs have been exposed to 6 years of crap on the road. Had to get a nail pulled (threw on a winter tire) and swapping this back onto my car it unalived itself.

Ive had good success with the vice pro's and also the chromesoft X ls. Ive had some of my farthest drives ever with the X LS. I need to revisit the vice's though as Im a better driver of the ball now than I was when I was playing them.
