Played in our annual family scramble today. Had a good driver day and hit some other good shots and talked some . @MaxEntropy got the closest to on the #3 par 3 and his mate Mike got the closest to on the #6 par 3, so they both got their entry fee back. We ended up being 7 under, when you consider the calibre of some of the others that play, we did well.

I think the Hogan's should stay in the bag mate, seems to me they're working great for you. As for me, I played OK. Shot a pretty stinky 91 with drives all over the place. However, the 2 guys I was paired with were great company, our round time was 3.46 and my Uncle pretty much kept his mouth closed the whole 18.

Play another round with the Hogans and see what happens. If you go low again with them, keep them in the bag.

Exactly right. When my son was bringing home that rubbish I showed him the way it should be worked out and left it at that. We never heard a peep out of the teacher, but I believe most teachers hate it too.

I played yesterday at da club. First swing on #1, hit it off the heel and dribbled it down the left rough...what a start! Ended the front 9 with a 45. The back 9 didn't start too well either with a bogey on 10 and 11. Got another birdie on the longish par 3 12th, then I somewhat found my driver swing and shot a 41 on the back for a mediocre 86.

We didn't get a one. Weather got us on the back 9. It started to cloud over and rumble then sprinkle. On the par 3 17th it started to rain and then stopped when we got to the tee at 18. We finished and the heavens opened up which led to a scramble for the car park. I was so disappointed in the course because I was told that it was a great course a couple of years ago. We let a twosome through and they told @MaxEntropy and Mike that it was rated at 4.5 stars but was sold about 2 years ago and went straight down the gurgler. The greens were super quick because they were about half bare patches and the fairways weren't much better on a number of holes. I think I apologised to the guys at least twice during the round. Oh and the 10th hole...what a doozy! Off the tee there's a window about 20 yards wide that you have to hit through...yeah ok.

That is a shame. I've played Zoar but not Wilkshire, years ago. When we played, it poured right when we finished, really hard and heavy rain and the green that we saw from the road as we went past was already a pond.

Well, I'm no longer running. My hips and knees can't take it. I ran on Monday and my hips were still aching on Wednesday. So, I'm now walking 1.5 miles in the morning and doing the same in the afternoon with no aches and pains.

Well, the pressure washer idea didn't work too well. All I succeeded in doing was get a face full of dirt/mud. So, the stump will have to stay and get ground out.
