  1. Picked these up from the shop today. Range had a headwind, but they still hit really nicely. Very forgiving.
  2. But, as with everything else in golf, everyone’s needs are going to vary. Best case is you get fitted into a combo including a shaft on the mfgs ‘free upgrade’ list…
  3. Any brand is worth testing! How ya gonna know, otherwise??
  4. Four wedges for me. A 43° set PW from Sub 70. Then in Maltbys: a 50° bent to 48°, and 54° bent to 53° and a 58°. 5° spread seems to work pretty well for me, but then I’m new… Not sure I like what bending the 50° down to 48° did to the bounce, but I’m learning it…
  5. I’ve had great success with double sided tape and the anvil section of my bench vise. Easy peasy.
  6. Do it. Do it and don’t look back. do yourself a favor and get fitted, but do it.
  7. My home course has a lot of wild area OB, and my driver is like a heat seeker for those areas. Must confess I’ve run out of 12 ‘good’ balls and had to finish with the sacrificial water balls I leave in the bottom of the bag…which I seem to hit better since I don’t care. I was actually really surprised when I played the local muni a while back (walked into an unknown-to-me tourney at the home course…so skittered over to the muni for a round). it’s a small course with the holes pretty much back to back. Don’t think I lost a single ball on the front 9, and maybe only 2 on the back! I felt like I knew what I was doing! It helps when there’s almost no high grass and very little water on a course… Back to the home course a few days after and the heat seeker hadn’t lost a step…lost maybe three balls in the first few holes. Doh!
  8. I got 18 Hi for both, driver tipped 1”. Interesting.
  9. I find the non-corded grips go on nicely at about 45 lbs. I haven’t tried corded grips with a compressor yet, but I’ve done a couple models that don’t seem as flexible as Star grips and haven’t found they need more pressure, just a little more guidance and a straight shot as they’re pushed on. I’m totally addicted. Even blew on the armlock AL2 with minimal hassle…and that thing is loooong and thick!
  10. Can’t comment on the tipping, sorry, but I love that shaft!
