  1. ... Well after opening her box, please tell pandora I said hello.
  2. ... After much consideration and sorry to be a silted stake but I just can't do it. For me the synergy of vocals, music and lyrics can't easily be separated into 3 distinct categories. But if I were absolutely forced to make a decision it would be the harmonies of Lennon and McCartney. Of course that would open a new category that would be even more difficult to narrow down to a few, let alone one.
  3. ... Don't take your fellow Saloon members words on this subject. Take the words of a trusted Financial Advisor (I may have ever so slightly embellished the last sentence): What you need to know: Currency notes and coins are not money! They are just one form of representing it. In modern economies, there is a lot more money than all the notes and coins put together. If you really think about it, money has no value whatsoever until you spend it. It is what you spend it on that has value. The value we place on money is dependent on what we think we can buy with it and a Callaway Pre Owned 30% off sale would certainly qualify as a terrific value.
  4. ... Second round of golf in 3 weeks today. 2 bogies and 6 birdies missing 3 eagle putts but because of the conditions I played the senior tees at just over 6000yds. Course was Verticut in the fairways and the greens aerated and they were watering them while I played so just silly humid at 108*. That said, I played in just under 2 hours and literally had the course to myself as I saw NOBODY on the course til the back 9 when I saw some high school kids on the front. ... Felt great to get out and play even in the less than ideal conditions. Since I was alone, I tried an experiment and really cranked my music much louder than normal. Took me a few holes to get used to it being so loud but once I adjusted it was kinda cool. But the real eye opener was even though it was really, really loud in the cart, I could barely hear it on most greens and some I couldn't hear it at all. It made me realize how insanely LOUD drinking Bro's play their music for us to hear it on another fairway!
  5. ... Yea, that has been the trend from THE Ohio State QBs. I love college football but more often than not and like you said, it can be a very different game than the NFL. I have seen some prolific passers in college running a spread offense that usually does not translate to the NFL game. Not sure I ever saw better pure passers than Graham Harrell, Colt Brennan and David Klingler in college. A a Raiders fan, if you haven't seen it, the game between Fales and Carr in 2013 when Fresno State payed San Jose State was epic and one of the best offensive college games I ever saw. "With no fewer than 15 NFL scouts scheduled to attend, both Fales and Carr more than solidified their pro prospects. Fales was 37-of-45 passing for a school-record 547 yards, six touchdowns and no interceptions. Carr was 38 of 50 for 519 yards, six touchdowns and one interception. All 12 passing touchdowns came in the first half, as the Spartans and Bulldogs combined for 1,006 yards of total offense, 83 points and 45 first downs in the opening 30 minutes. "If you love offense, this is the game you want to be at," NFL Network analyst Steve Mariucci, a Bay Area resident, said during a sideline interview. Carr, regarded as a possible first-round draft pick in the mold ofDallas Cowboys' signal-caller Tony Romo, showed off his outstanding arm strength throughout. At one point in the first half, Carr threw the ball 40 yards from the near hash mark to the other end of the field and out of bounds while falling backward under pressure. Carr also showed off his underrated mobility, rushing for 32 yards on eight carries and moving well in the pocket to avoid pressure."
  6. ... Thank you for that as there is usually no such thing as "best". I mean it would be hard to argue with Adelle but otherwise it is still pretty much personal preference. Gonna have to think on this one, but interesting topic!
  7. ... Hard to make that call without seeing your swing. Depending on your age and swing speed, I probably wouldn't recommend going under the i80's that are 85gms uncut. I have a smooth swing and anything lighter I lose my rhythm and timing. I also would not mix shaft weights in the set, you can always go with the FC* Steelfibers in 80 gms. Again not knowing your swing I am not saying i70's or 70FC's shouldn't be considered because some really like very light weight irons shafts, but unless you are older and slowing down I would be a little leery of going with shafts that weigh less than 85gms. * No two golfers are alike and no golf shaft is one-size-fits-all. The SteelFiber FC "Flight Control" graphite iron shafts combine the advanced composite technology of SteelFiber with variable tip stiffness–delivering a higher ball flight in the mid and long irons while maintaining the classic SteelFiber launch in the scoring irons.
  8. ... If I weren't a Bears fan I would LOVED watching Fields play. He was just so exciting once he left the pocket and used his legs. But that is a recipe for injury and losses, and the Bears experienced both. I have a feeling he won't be as dynamic this year because while they will want him to run when the opportunity presents itself, they want him throwing the ball from the pocket the majority of the time. It will be an interesting season for sure.
  9. ... The Bears are much improved in many area's after the new GM gutting them and trading or cutting their best defensive players. But he has rebuilt the defense around some rlly good players. Oline also looks good and on NFL Training camp coverage several predicted the OLine will be a strength this year. But sadly success in the NFL revolves around a franchise QB or one that plays at least close to that level. Everything I have seen with my own eyes and everything I have read coming out of camp says Fields ain't that guy. Still as maddeningly inaccurate as last year, still holds the ball too long and still looks great one drive and horrible the next ... he is s recipe for mediocrity playing well one game and poorly the next. Unless something changes the Bears will end up in no mans land with 8-10 wins and out of the playoffs and drafting later in the first round. ... I would love to be wrong but something drastically different will have to happen with Fields game. They are starting him Saturday in the first preseason game and that speaks volumes.
  10. ... Still somewhat of a Cinderella team in the NFC North, so they are easy for a Bears fan to root for unless they are the opponent. But of their success continues, they hopefully become a rival and we can root for Lions loses. It would be nice to have a respectful rivalry for a change of pace as the Packers/Bears more often than not turned into disrespectful trash talking on both sides.
  11. ... Haha, not at all. As you know I am a big believer in "whatever works". That said, I would switch to playing Bingo before taking a mechanical approach to putting.
  12. ... Well said. I like to say it isn't how fast you swing but how you swing that is the most important fitting parameter. I have seen 90mph swings that are short and quick fit into an x flex and 100mph swings that are long and smooth fit into an r flex.
  13. .. Sweet! Welcome to 2023. Hard to believe NC, SC, TN, KY, IN, WI, KS, NE, WY and ID aren't even medically legal is a travesty and one of the reason the federal govt should legalize it everywhere but those same azz backwards politicians that think Refer Madness is a documentary always block it. Friend of mine just went through Chemo/Radiation for cancer in his throat and THC was a huge relief for him and he had not ever tried it to prior. He is now a believer and thankfully cancer free.
  14. ... I would only be making an educated guess but I see a lot of i80 Steelfiber shafts on the LPGA. I know there are some 70gm shafts in the mix and a few i95's. Several use the FC series as well that has slightly softer tips in the long irons. But how they break down and who plays what would need Lisbeth Salander to get to the bottom of those stats. ... To be fair, you will still see several other graphite shafts on the LPGA and I have not played a poor performing graphite iron shaft. It just comes down to feel which of course is subjective. Kuro Kage with Tini technology or wound wire in the tip were really nice. KBS TGi are used on the Tours and performed well but I found them a little crisp in contrast to Recoils that I found just a hair too dampened. Both are excellent shafts and I actually loved the feel of the Recoils before I played Steelfibers which again for my swing and personal preference just hits the sweet spot for feel. And to confuse the issue further, the Recoil Prototypes I have in my Z Forged MB's feel closer to Steelfiber than the regular Recoils but they are silly expensive and hard to find. I have played quite a few graphite iron shafts over the years and Aldila VS Porto 100's and NV Pro 105's shafts are also personal favorites but discontinued and hard to find. ... In the end, most all of the after market graphite iron shafts available in heavier weights will outperform steel imo, but which one is best for your swing will come down to personal preference. Steelfibers get the feel right for the majority of better players because they straddle the difference between steel and graphite with the best of both worlds, but give me a group at a fitting and some will certainly prefer Recoils or KBS, and Project X Catalyst and Mitsubishi MMT's I have hit but never played.
  15. ... Sweet! That white on white is classy but very current at the same time.
  16. ... My favorite irons shafts. 110 in s-flex will play very similar to a DGX100 and it's a pretty stout shaft. Depending on how you swing, Steelfibers are 1/2 to 1 full flex stronger. Heavy hitters 1/2 flex and smooth swingers 1 full flex. I play i95 r-flex in my MIM Tours and my current MG2 wedges and i80 r-flex in my current irons. Fwiw I played the Recoil 95 s-flex in several irons including the King Tours before re-shafting with i80's and they are very similar to Steelfiber r-flex for my swing.
  17. ... I am a huge Olyphant fan as well. But I would say slightly above average, yet far from the original. Plus it is shot in Chicago and I'm pi$$ed it wasn't filming there when I lived and worked in Chicago.
  18. ... When it comes to equipment, some have a heightened sense of feel and some lucky players have very little feel. We hear players say things like "The ball felt too clicky off the putter" or "the shaft felt like a telephone pole/noodle!" I have always been envious of those that base their opinions on performance only and feel rarely enters into it. And then sound can be part of the equation as well. So hearing you didn't really notice anything much different with an $18 fix is a really nice bonus. I hope you enjoy your golf trip!
  19. ... I appreciate your congeniality. But we have all seen beautiful "Profile Pictures" then showed up with flowers and expensive chocolates to see someone shall we say "slightly heavier" with a completely different face? But hey darlin' it's 2023 and ya never know what to believe online anymore. So I will bow out and let you two figure out your next step over a mint julep and some fried green tomatoes. (and just warning you,Yellow Ball can't afford a paternity test)
  20. ... Oh Boy, I am not sure we can handle two of you airing your private life in public Miss Tee. Maybe a PM would have been more appropriate? Being that YB was clearly intoxicated and you were gone in the morning (and we have all been there) he really should see what you look like in broad daylight, not a cloudy half moon dark night at a driving range. I really hate to Shank Shame you but he really should know:
  21. ... There are just some things we don't want to know: What's in the sausage Koalas eat their mother’s poop And mother cats eat their newborns’ poop Red eyes at the pool are caused by urine, not chlorine You are always within 6 feet of a spider at any given moment A new shaft won't fix your slice Yellow Balls true identity
  22. ... Yes, we all know you are a F*** U* but I am surprised you would admit it. You know, in a loving way.
  23. ... In my very weak defense, some of these are 20 years old.
