  1. Still leaking, 4.3 now but this was the first round I've felt hope in a while. Score still sucked but my misses were flushed and I putted better.
  2. Had a free $15 to Rock Bottom in the email this morning. Wanted to buy a dozen Snell MTB but they were out of stock. So picked up a dozen Vice Pro in neon green to try out.
  3. It was the first time I'd ever been there, pretty nice store. Spent 30 mins on their practice sim hitting the PTx to work some distances. They carried a bunch of smaller brands that places like Golfsmith and Golf Galaxy don't stock so it was cool to see those in person.
  4. Was checking out the new PGASS today and was hoping to pick up a new Scor 58. It was the only loft they didn't have so bought a used Hogan TK 58 that looks in great shape for $5 less than a new Scor. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  5. I'm still leaking. 4.0 as of today. Up from 3.9 and 3.8 the previous 2 revisions.
  6. Some might not consider it for golf, but just ordered a big jambox for "away" golf since the little jambox doesn't quite get to the volume I'm looking for after a few cocktails
  7. So have a beer after 10pm and jump on eBay or global golf or Cally pre owned Cally pre owned site is having a warehouse sale [emoji48] Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  8. 3.8 to a 3.9. It does take me from a course 4 to a course 5 though from the tees we play. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  9. Nice pick up, basically a free driver head! Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  10. Can't figure out how to say this without some blasphemy....HOLY CRAP it finally happened!!
  11. Haven't ever done this before (been worse and better) but I shot 36 on the front with 9 pars. Then parred 10, 11 and 12. It went downhill from there but I will take 12 pars on the first 12 holes most days. Finished with a 77 for 36/41 with 2 doubles and a birdie on the back. Yes a few bogies mixed in too
  12. Yup, just watched it tonight. I've been waiting for a couple months now after seeing the previews during the last season of Suits. The usual HBO and Showtime shows (House of Lies just ended, Game of Thrones finale this weekend, Silicon Valley) I'm really liking Preacher on AMC and I'm cautiously optimistic about Roadies on HBO.
  13. I've had the stuff quite a while, but hadn't tried it out until today. I had the grip on the shaft pulled already so just slid it over the butt end and did the whole shaft. Then one layer of tape for the grip and blew it on with air. I used a heat gun to shrink it. Here is the stuff I bought, I think I got 8' so I could have enough to do a few putters. http://www.ebay.com/itm/16-0mm-5-8-Polyolefin-Heat-Shrink-Tubing-Tube-Sleeve-Wrap-BEST-DEAL-US-SHIP-/221353520127?var=&hash=item3389b2abff
  14. Matera came today. I pulled the shaft and installed a different one because I wanted to save the Piretti Iomic grip and that was easier than trying to pull the grip. I used black shrink tubing to make the shaft matte black and then installed a Superstroke 2.0 with the 50g counterweight. Not sure it will kick the #7 out of the bag, but it sure looks nice! 15. Broke 80 (shot 79) with 3 doubles. Stupid blow up holes...
  16. Stuck at 3.8 still Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  17. I usually just hit the bar for a cocktail. Then do a little stretching and warm up swing on the first tee. Nice thing about my course is the first hole is a par 5 that is usually not reachable in 2. So a mediocre drive is just fine, same with the 2nd shot. You will still be inside 150 and most likely inside 100 for your approach. I would guess 70% of my rounds are without any range warm up. Not for lack of wanting, but with 2 small children it seems like it always takes longer to leave the house then I planned on and I'm heading straight to the first tee.
  18. Piretti Matera is on the way Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
  19. If you read through the thread I don't think you would be out of place no matter how much it's been!
  20. No doubt, you still have to hit the shots, but I figure just knowing the greens is saving me a few strokes a round at a minimum. Have my first "away" round of the year on Sunday so we'll see how I travel soon. Playing Pheasant Acres in Rogers for a 16-man match.
  21. We weren't playing today, but he went from a +4 to a +3. So now instead of getting 10 shots I only get 7. Going to shoot for next Wed and see what happens
  22. I guess three 74's in the last 4 rounds takes a toll on the handicap. Good news is I'm playing some of the best golf I've ever played. Handicap dropped from 5.2 to an all time low for me of 3.8. Bad news is that match play started last week and I now I'm giving up 2 extra strokes I could have gotten in the first round if I had played the match before today.
  23. Played twice this weekend. Sun morning round was brutal. I was snap hooking driver and never felt right. Had one birdie that won a skin but shot a smooth 83 after back to back 74's. Then today all was right again and everything felt good. Went 35-39 for my third 74 in 4 rounds. Good news is that I'm playing great golf (for me) bad news is that handicap is coming way down going into singles and doubles match play Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy mobile app
