  1. This is a totally false statement. There is a ton that goes into finding a good fit in driver and just because someone swings on the lower end doesn’t mean a LS driver is wrong for them.
  2. I have 17’ of flight from ball to screen so I’m good there even though CS told me that’s too much.
  3. I’m only 10 yards short in irons and about 20ish with driver although my smash was low and spin high today. I was mid 2’s with driver Tuesday on full swing with a baby draw and this is what I got today on the Mevo Plus. Everything was better in the e6 sim and course so who knows.
  4. I just read in one of the simulator forums that if you are a higher swing speed guy (100+ I assume) set the mevo 9’ to the ball. May have to try this. They said they were up to 40 yards short with driver at 5-7 foot. Not sure why they went 5 but hey experiment away so I don’t have too lol
  5. Any way to take a black/dark cloth that can go from the platform to the mat to simulate no valley?
  6. Can’t you adjust the tee/mat height to the right range? Mine adjusts all the way to 3” I believe.
  7. I can’t say for sure but when I had the mevo I sat it in the ground just like the plus. I can say without a doubt though that I’d get more realistic readings from the regular mevo for distance with the driver
  8. I was told by CS that you want the Plus in the ground. Not on something to level it. Then you adjust the tee height and hitting zone in the settings to match the mat.
  9. Do you adjust your tee height? By leaving that at zero even though I’m over an inch above and set to 7’ in the setting but 8’ actual distance has helped slightly. Im content with adjusting the Temp, Humidity, and Elevation for my sim rounds. For me all the other numbers on the Flightscope range are more for comparing clubs than actually dialing in clubs.
  10. Got some more swings in today. Still not seeing numbers I usually do on the course unless I manipulate the Temperature, Humidity, and Elevation. It’s easy enough to do just wish I didn’t have to. Need to get it outside to see if that helps. I’m inside a metal building so I’m hoping that’s the culprit. I do find the e6 range closer to what I see on course as well but still slightly short. I did find that even though the Plus sits on the ground and my mat is about an inch thick, setting the mevo to 0” lowered spin by about 500 on average compared to the 1” setting. That upped carry distance a little better.
  11. The explanation for some heads is up in world of wunder https://worldofwunder.callawaygolf.com/waste-management-phoenix-open-tour-report-gallery-and-breakdown-of-all-the-tour-heads-plus-ai-one-cruisers-hit-pre-order/
  12. Take a peak at the Flightscope progression test going on. The Mevo is tough to beat imo for the price.
  13. I believe the radar picks up the ball. I’ve yet to have the mevo or plus read a practice swing
  14. I’m not on the slow swing speed end but I played the 5s last year in a Paradym TD and it was good. If I wasn’t such a club ho’ it’d probably still be in the bag. Had really good feel. I know that doesn’t help a ton but it’s a really really good lightweight shaft.
  15. Gonna be mia this weekend for Valentine’s Day with the wife so I took tomorrow off. Gonna get some numbers and a round in.
  16. Gotta say first night with the Cobra was impressive. It came with a 70X linq white which was too much for me but my local guy gave me a 6x proxima shaft and wow. EASILY the longest combo I’ve hit on that simulator. I was centering everything. Center contact and center fairway with nice tight baby draws. Carry never dropped below 270 and spin never got above 3000(I think I had 1 that was 2900 majority were mid 2’s). My swing was in top form as we played the back 9 at TPC Scottsdale. 2-man scramble. Shot -8 with 2 useable shots from my partner. The Darkspeed LS is definitely one of the lower spinning drivers I have hit in a long time. Gotta get some swings in on the Mevo Plus for the review but it has a real shot at staying in the bag.
  17. If you want a quick bandaid continue to move your right foot back until you are hitting hooks. I don’t mean widening your stance though. Don’t stop when you are hitting it straighter either. When I fixed my bad slice, I read that to fix it permanently you had to go past straight flight to draw/hook and work back to straight from there. Pair this with the feeling that you are trying to hit the ball to “right field” with your follow through.
  18. I can’t really give a good alternative. Your best bet would be to drop a message to @JohnnyCallaway and he may be able to shed some light on the Smoke TD Max
  19. I can’t say for sure but I’d be surprised if it comes to retail.
  20. For those curious about the shape of the 8*. Here is a pic next to the Paradym TD.
  21. I didn’t get that far into it. I use an all fit adapter so I don’t have the standard callaway draw setting.
  22. Honestly for me the Smoke was slightly longer though we are splitting hairs there. I ended up moving on from it as it was more fade biased than I prefer.
  23. Very well done on the unofficial review. I’m tempted to pick up a regular Mezz but haven’t pulled the trigger just yet
  24. I love how everyone is using the Mevo Plus differently. Shows how versatile is.
  25. Nice. When you are ready to upgrade keep an eye on their twitter and instagram pages. They seem to do trade in bonuses for the mevo towards the plus periodically
