    My bad I didn’t realize the net had a screen. I have almost everything with the exception of what to do between the hitting mat and screen. This is what I had in my FIL shed this winter for the Flightscope review. Gonna modify the cage down to 4-5’ deep and use some black sheets to darken it just a touch for the screen.

    I did see a post online about using the foam workout squares and topping it with felt type flooring. As I mentioned above it has to be something I can vacuum/sweep off. Did you have to glue anything down?

    For those that have went full sim build, what did you use for landing/putting area between the hitting mat and screen. Just got my garage all cleaned out and gonna start on piecing together the build. Since the Mevo Plus allows for putting I’d like something that putts smoothly.

    Ping i59 are close in lofts but not players distance irons. More just players irons.

    Great thread idea Ben. If I had to choose one it would probably be Titleist strictly because Toulon and Odyssey arent a thing anymore. I very much prefer a milled face

    While as staff we don’t encourage negative reviews we absolutely let members know that we want 100% honest ones. There are negative reviews out there they just aren’t promoted like the positive ones.

    Did get out this morning for 18. Felt I played really well. Driving was just decent except for the duck hook ob on 18 that lead to a triple. As of now I’m finding good consistency with a constant right to left flight. It’s plenty long as well and has good kick to it. Got a couple more weeks to get it perfectly dialed in before playing one of the top courses in Iowa(or so I’m told). I’ll leave this video here for those interested to see the VF in action. Proper line for this dogleg right for me is right down the tree line you see as at the top of the hill it turns sharp right.

    The clarification is that you are seeking the advice out from that specific instructor. Not just some guy that comes along with references and starts giving advice. Again if you seek them out then you have some sort of confidence in them. Whether by what you see them do or what others have said about them.

    So wait I say shafts are more important than just a fine tuning instrument and I need to give experience on a controversial hot take, but me wanting to see someone demonstrate a technique they are trying to teach is wrong? Hot takes fellas. They are just opinions.

    I gave a Quick Look without handicaps factored in and looks like I birdied your bogey hole and you covered my bad holes with par or better. Gonna be an interesting outcome.

    Sorry @Randall Robbins I think I let the team down. Felt like I played so well only to have a triple on this last detail the score. Kinda an up and down day with some nice birdie putts but also a couple poor par putts. Including a 3 putt double. Win or lose these tourneys are always fun.

    I get injuries can prohibit certain things. I’ll take it a step forward to help clarify. I’m not talking about seeking out swing advice from someone you know to be an instructor with references. I’m talking about listening to advice from people you don’t know from Adam that can’t show you how to do what they are telling you to do. For all you know it could be a guy that hasn’t touch a golf club in his life. Anyone can pick and choose advice off the internet and pass it off as their own. Thus my take on seeing them demonstrate it.

    Date 07/28/2024 Course Name Hillside Golf Course Gross Score 75 Course Rating 68 Course Slope 107 Gross Strokes over/under par 3 Birdies or better 5 Longest Drive 0 Felt like I played a million times better today than yesterday but only 2 strokes better score wise. The triple on 18 killed me. Snap hook OB off the tee. Then played left/right/left golf to the green after letting frustrations get the better of me.

    Let’s use your example of physically unable to perform the swing. If that’s the case then perhaps but still a long shot for me. Would need great references imo Othewise I stand by my statement that if they can’t show you a video of their swing demonstrating what they want you to do, then they can’t teach themselves the technique so they have no right to try to teach you that technique.

    And that is exactly what my take said. Advice online. And it’s even more of a fact for me when it isn’t an actually teacher/coach.

    Is there anything in my take that said they had to be good? I was getting at this, If they aren’t willing to show you a video of them demonstrating the proper technique they are trying to teach you, then why take their advice. They can’t teach themselves.

    Of all the clubs golfers play, I’d say the putter is the one that playing what the pros play can be less penal. Although 90% of what they play isn’t what us amateurs can get our hands on anyways.
