I swing 105-115 with driver depending on how loose I am and and whether or not I go after it. I have successfully used regular to x stiff. There isn’t an industry standard for flex so consider those just suggestions lol. The key is to find a shaft that allows you to make center contact the most. on a side note, how did you like the Hzrdus Gen4 iron shafts?

Does it have a strokelab shaft in it? If so there was a counter weight in the end of the original SL shafts. It was just in there with o-rings and pulled out when I regripped. Could easily be added back after the regrip. Of course if they don’t do it anymore then my rambling was just pointless lol

Thanks. I’m hoping to grab a bunch more shafts this winter to do a big test. If I have another round like I did Sunday Saturday morning the Aretera will be in the bag the rest of the year. I love the feel of the VF but if my timing is off the kick gets me in trouble. Im a big believer in shafts making a difference and not just being a timing or fine tuning component. That said the shafts they use nowadays as stock aren’t nearly as bad as they used to be. I also like using the all fit adapters for shafts as it allows driver head testing as well without needing new shafts

There are some really good ones out there that will do both. What time of space do you have? This could greatly reduce your options. Radar based systems(mevo plus, full swing kit) will require 8-10’ ball to screen(more is better) and 8-10’ ball to unit. Camera based systems(skytrak plus, Bushnell launch pro) sit just in front of the ball instead of behind you so they require less room but also need to be moved if switching between lefty and righty. If you have the room and like diving into the numbers a radar based system like mevo plus or full swing kit are nice because you can take them to the range and outside they track the entire flight giving you great accuracy. All of them will need a simulator package added such as e6, gspro, or tgc2019. Each with different system requirements. Gspro and tgc are computer only and e6 can be iOS. Not 100% sure but some LM are also system dependent. prices are all over the map but if you have the space the Mevo plus with face impact and pro package is great with zero subscription fees to use the unit. Just the e6 subscription if you want more than the free with Mevo courses. If you are fine with those few courses then it’s a one time payment and done. I reviewed the Mevo plus earlier this year and made a switch with @Golfspy_CG2 for the full swing kit so we both could check out the other. So far the FSK wins on lcd screen and ease of setup. I need to check out the simulator side of things to see how that goes but the mevo was very good on that aspect with the free e6. There are always pros and cons to all of them but it’s a great thing to have and totally worth the rabbit hole you are going to be going through to find the right one.

Callaway Ti Fusion iron review Ok spies doing a little something different here. Going with a video for a quick intro/unboxing/first impressions. No problem with crowds but man that little red light gets me lol

Its also wrong imo. A fitting can get you into the proper length and lie not just the proper club head and shaft. These aspects can provide immediate improvement for a high handicapper.

I managed to snag some quick data comparison between the VF and Aretera Blue this morning. Didn’t have a ton of time or a great swing so I only got about 4 shots each that were even close to normal. Bad swing day and more comparison needed for sure.

For me it’s hands down no question the feel. Smooth with a ton of kick. I still need some more data via the mevo plus before making any final decisions

Gonna start this thread as a place to discuss everything shafts. Opinions are welcome as well as myths and truths. We will allow links to articles and posts to other “Experts” from other forums as long as it doesn’t get super out of control. We want this to be a place to discuss anything shafts and a way to get the information out there without having to look at a bunch of different threads here. Also let’s keep it civil. Discussion is great but backhanded comments and insults will not be tolerated. If you feel a comment is out of line report it so the staff can look at it. Always better for us to deal with it than have to warn both parties for negative comments.

Have bought a ton of stuff since my last post and won’t even bother posting them all as some haven’t even stayed long lol. 2 biggies for me though. Titleist TSR2 7-wood and the beautiful Taylormade P790 Aged Copper iron heads to go with the Accra TZI 115x iron shafts, custom ferrules, and lamkin cross line 360 grips. Also gotta a feeling that this topic is gonna get spammed with some posts in the coming weeks!

Not a good weekend for the TD Max/VF/Me combo. Hit just 1 fairway today and not many more yesterday. I want off the planet bad and scrambled very well today the couple times I put myself in jail. The honeymoon period has ended for sure. Hoping to get 2 more rounds in next weekend before putting the final touches on the review. Can’t wait to see everyone’s final thoughts.
