  1. Long story short, I’m going back to the Mizuno ST190. It’s time to admit when something works for ya it just works. For sale is a Titleist TSI3 8* driver in awesome shape. It is shafted with an untipped Ventus TR 5s shaft and plays just a tick shy of 45”. The adapter is an old pull before I realized you could pull the cogs to keep them from discoloring. There is also a small gap on the ferrule as I still haven’t mastered the art of seating a ferrule apparently. This will come with 2 extra 3g weights for short or long builds. I would prefer to keep this together but will split if the offer is right. Prices are shipped to conus only. No wrench available. Full Club Head Only with headcover $old Shaft Only $225obo Only trade at the moment would be some Mizuno HMB or 225 iron heads but I’m not oppose to listening. Worst I can say is no.
  2. Well the Mizuno is going into the bag and the tsi3/TR will be going up for sale soon. Just gotta admit that when something works it works. Lol
  3. I didn’t buy anything(this time) but I put my ZF 50X in an old Mizuno ST190 head and was smashing it slightly better than the tsi3/tr combo. It got me feeling nostalgic lol. If it outperforms the tsi3 tomorrow im gonna have to seriously think about putting it back in the bag for the 3rd or 4th time. Something about that head always seems to work for me. Don’t know why I keep going the shiny new route. Haha
  4. Can you make it bigger for the people in the back! Lol
  5. I posted it in the goal thread but gotta post here too cuz I’m so damn excited! 34/38 EVEN PAR 72 11 Greens 12 Fairways 5 birdies 5 bogies Whoop Whoop! A few chunked chips cost me a round in the 60’s.
  6. That’s a big check mark for #1. 4 Birdies and 2 bogies on the front and 3 bogies 1 birdie on the back for an even par 72!!!!!!
  7. I’d try but id be doing you a disservice. The TSI3/Ventus TR combo has been amazing so far for me.
  8. Huge price drop for 48 hrs only. $175 shipped
  9. Very true. It may not even have been considered before. As far as the lifetime bans go, players exemptions are what get them a contract offer from the tour each year. If I understand it correctly, the pga tour doesn’t have to offer those contracts(reguardless of exemptions) therefore they could suspend the players for the rest of this year and simply not offer contracts to those players next year. To go a step further, if DJ has signed a contract stating lifetime exemption to the tour due to his 20 wins then that can muddy the waters even more.
  10. From everything I have read all the punishments(fines/suspensions/bans) are for breaching the contract sign to play in the pga tour. There Na resigning means the tour has no basis for a ban should that be the route they go. He never played in a competing tour without permission while under contract. Yes he will have to requalify if he chooses to return but the PGA Tour now has zero legal ground to issue any punishment to him now or in the future from what I see
  11. Up for sale or trade is a Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero driver head. It is 8.5* loft. To my understanding this isn’t the max or 440 version. It is a good shape with ball marks on the face and brush marks on the sole. Some light swirl marks on the crown when looking closely from taking headcover on and off. Not sure where to price this at so gonna start at $225obo shipped to the conus. No headcover or wrench included Im open to trades of all sorts but the following will get 1st dibs PX IO 5.5/6.0 shafts Titleist TSI3 hybrids
  12. I actually haven’t been choking down and have been seeing constant centerish contact. I can have a problem straying low heel to high toe when my swing is off. It’s one of the reasons I’m not sure about messing with setup. I will probably mess around with it tomorrow cuz I’m a tinkerer at heart lol
  13. Well in a quandary now. I ordered a couple 3g weights to add to the head to get my head weight up to 200g. I was gonna play it with the 8g center and 1-3g in H1 and T2. The 3 weights fit in the head and I’d like to cut it down from just over 45” right now but here is the quandary I hit it amazing this morning. I played my little 9-holer and drove the par 4 5th(316 yards uphill) as well as the par 4 6th(296 yards). I also ended up over the green off the tee on 5 the second go around. I had a nice little 7-10mph behind me so that helped. The 8* head set at D2 with the Ventus TR 5s shaft has been awesome once I figured out I needed to get longer tees. I think for the first time the top and bottom of my bag are set (TSI3/F85 3&5/Sik Jo) just need to figure out the irons. The 699 pros feel extraordinary but look a little clunky for my eye and I struggle to hit them with anything but a left flight. Might need to move the 699 pros with the Mavrik SZ and find some 790’s or 722’s
  14. Nice. I will have to look into that. Thanks
  15. I have no real big complaintsabout the Sub70 699 pros(maybe slightly long heel to toe but that’s nitpicking lol) however the Tour Edge Exotics c722 irons have caught my eye. Wish I had somewhere to see them in hand or demo.
  16. Got the TSI3 today and went out for 6 quick holes after work. Hit a couple drives on each hole and was very impressed. First the head weight came in at 194g without adapter which is about 7-10g lighter than I usually play. I installed the Ventus TR in the D2 setting to play upright and -.75*. I moved the weight to T2 which helped the balance a little. Playing 45” and T2 felt close enough in Swingweight for me to get comfortable. Im gonna order a heavier weight for it next week and cut it down but for this weekend I’ll play it as is.
  17. I play Srixon F85 fairways from 2018 and there has been nothing before or since that has even come close to them. I had a 5 wood first cuz I struggled with 3 woods but picked one up this winter and it is amazing. Fairway woods are such a personal club imo
  18. What’s even more messed up is it shows processing at the ups store 1 hour from my house right now and I’m guessing it didn’t make the truck for delivery today. Should be here tomorrow though which I can still live with. Im doubting the refund will happen but will give it a shot if I don’t see it today.
  19. Well my day has started crappy. Paid for overnight shipping to have the TSI3 today to get it prepped for the long weekend and woke up to thisHopefully it’s fixed quick and I get it tomorrow but not holding my breath. Lol
  20. I will definitely need to add some weight to the head as my sweet spot always seems to be in the 201-205 range without adapter. I’m gonna throw the Ventus TR 5s shaft in it to start as the couple rounds I have with it in the Mavrik SZ the kick seems to be timed just about perfect with my swing. As for length I don’t see myself changing from the 44.5-44.75” but will probably try 45” to start with the lighter head. I haven’t trimmed the TR to the shorter length yet. Loft will be trickier as I’m playing the 8.5* at -2* with the green dot adapter so I’m guessing this 8* will be turned down too. Luckily I don’t seem to have trouble with launch just spin. It’s gonna be a fun weekend that’s for sure.
  21. I actually bought a Sun Mountain C-130 bag this winter and gave the revolver to pops. I needed something to match my MGS Driver cover lol
  22. Well JT’s comeback win got the best of me. New TSI3 8* head coming my way. I’m so weak!
  23. Alright guy. This is ridiculous. Your comment was not needed and comes off as rude. Who cares that he has 25 as his handicap in his profile? Why do you always feel the need to be confrontational/negative? Edit: @mynerds you keep doing you and just laugh off the negative comments that have become the norm lately.
  24. 38/40 +6 Today Lets start with the bad. 3 doubles and the blasphemous 4 putt. Now that that’s out of the way I managed to hit 7/9 greens on the front(with the 4 putt). Converted 2 birdies. Only hit 4/9(drove the reachable par 4 in 1) on the back but felt like I hit the ball better.
  25. First round this morning with the Ventus TR. It was only 48* and I couldn’t really get loose but I only hit one shot with the TR/Single Diamond Mav left. Every other shot was a fade/push fade. It took about 10 holes to get comfortable enough to aim at the left side of the fairway. Distance was still close to what I normally see so I have big expectations for when it warms up.
