  1. Thanks guys. No golf for me as it’s in the 50’s currently and super windy. May use today to go get some numbers on the PXG driver though. Happy Birthday to @silver & black and @palvord as well.
  2. I believe it is the same as all the other Mizuno drivers. The adapter looks the same in pictures. This will give ya an idea of how the lie changes with loft.
  3. Comments like this are so funny to me. Next time try to get some context on what you are commenting on before hitting submit. I have hit shafts that range from 45g Regular flex Oban Devotion to a 65g X Stiff Kuro Kage XT with playable results. I swing anywhere between 107-113mph depending on how loose I can get my back.
  4. Played a few holes today in a small get together for my former employer. First hole, no warm up, wind helping, 350 and some change to just off the left side of the fairway. Super cold feeling out this afternoon as it rained this morning and only got to 60* for a temp. Even with that the head still feels explosive and soft at the same time. Suppose to be in the 70’s this weekend so that will help. Also gonna get on the simulator early next week I hope
  5. Got the Gen5 7.5* out today after work for a few holes. Basically plugged it in at the -1.5* setting without looking at the weights. Felt light compared to the Ping but the Ping was at 208g head weight. I hit 3 balls on each of the 6 holes I played. I hit the center of the face the first 9 balls but it still seemed higher, shorter than I expected and turning left quite a bit. Then remembered hey there are weights on the bottom dummy. They were set up with the 7.5g in the back and heel- no bueno. Switched them to heel and toe, then threw a 5g I had in the back. Instantly felt better. Slightly heavier head feel and the RPG(still waiting on an adapter for the UB) seemed to really unload right at impact. Still a little higher than the Ping/UB but the ball just explodes off the face. Last tee ball of the day was a dogleg left 270 to carry the trees with a slight draw if you don’t want to run out of fairway. I hit a straight rope that I knew was gonna carry the trees but probably run through the fairway as it wasn’t turning. Went looking for my ball and couldn’t find it anywhere. I was just about to say screw it as I was gonna be done anyways, when a guy on the next tee box said it was over there. No clue exactly how far it carried but it ended at 340ish from the tee box. Even if I had aimed straight at the hole more I would have been 30 yards too long. I’m really looking forward to getting out this weekend. I’m also extremely pleased with the AV crown. No where near as off putting as the Gen4 for me.
  6. Well I thought I was flying under the radar but the UPS guy gave me a kick back to reality. I was working at a business about 25 minutes from my house and the UPS guy showed up to deliver to them. He seen me and said he had a couple packages for me that looked like more golf stuff and now he can save himself a stop! Lol
  7. You could buy used. Odds are if you don’t like it you can make most if not almost all your money back.
  8. It’s very possible that the PXG beats the TSR for me. I have always gotten along well with PXG drivers-Gen2/Proto X/0211/Gen4 and now the Gen5 gets a shot. I do also have a BGT Brava shaft on preorder from my local guy. I couldn’t resist with the claims against the autoflexx at half the cost. This is probably the first time ever that I don’t completely dread winter coming lol
  9. I will probably be doing the same and loading up on some Vice Pro Soft. Something about that ball just works for me. 6 rounds in with it and I only have 1 round not in the 30’s and it was a 41. $29/dozen is good enough for me
  10. Lol I have actually found that 6-7.5* works best for me paired with a lightweight shaft. I was playing a Ping 425 lst 9* turned down to 7.5* with the UB. Had 4g of hotmelt in it and weighed in at 208g head weight w/ no adapter and it was great but just never really cared for the feel/sound. TBH this is really just an experiment to head into the winter for me as I will no doubt have a TSR2 8* head at some point before New Years lol
  11. My 0311 7.5* head in on its way. Paid a little more but the guy is sending it UPS 2-Day. I’m gonna turn this down to 6* and see what kind of numbers I can get with the GD UB 5s and Accra RPG LBP 352. Might even try to get some LM numbers this weekend if I can find the time.
  12. And the PXG is officially purchased. Gonna give the UB and RPG LBP shafts a run in it.
  13. Recoil shafts purchased. Went with 95 F4 as they were about $75 cheaper than the Proto 95 F5 version. Guy seems to have ghosted me on the PXG unfortunately.
  14. I tried the cut blue last year I believe and ended up moving along. It has been so long I don’t remember what I didn’t like about it. Lol IMO there are better balls on the market. I especially like the Vice Pro Soft @ $35/dozen. If you go to their website and order 5 dozen at a time they reduce the price to about $28/dozen.
  15. That’s the perks of being in the shadow of @dlow206 and @Golfspy_CG2 Now if only I could fly under the radar with my wife lol
  16. One order placed with another couple coming soon. Order placed for a pie of Puma GS One white golf shoes really dig the looks. If I like them I will place an order for black ones. 2 orders coming 1st is a PXG Gen5 0311 7.5* head to play around with. Just awaiting PP info on this 2nd will be a set of Recoil 95/110 shafts. Gonna give graphite another shot over the winter
  17. Depth may be what wins championships this year.
  18. You already know where I stand on this topic lol. I got a lot of Dak, Akers, Dobbins, Mitchell, Schultz, Trey Lance, Brian Robinson stock this year. It was nice to see Cooper Rush keep CeeDee Lamb somewhat valuable.
  19. My local simulator guy has started moving into the club building and sales side of things as well. Gave him a shot at pulling the SteelFiber shafts and installing the Tour Issue TT XP’s in the Miura’s. Got to talking while he was cleaning up the ferrules and he is apparently an autoflexx and bgt authorized dealer and working towards other equipment. Anyway while talking he got me intrigued about the BGT Brava driver shaft and how some of the talking points give it an autoflexx competitor vibe so I went ahead and had him preorder me an X shaft. There was also a guy hitting on the sim. He had a recently purchased Stealth + and BGT Brava stiff shaft. He was enamored by the increase ball speed. I can say for certain it was the shaft for him as he hit the Stealth/Kai’Li right before and was 5mph ball speed faster with the BGT. I wondered if maybe they juiced the machine to make a sale so I grabbed my 6 iron and fired a few shots and if anything it was reading slightly short for my distances but that was with the new shafts. Not a fan of the brown color but I’ll play it if the results are there lol.
  20. I see an 8* TSR2 in my future. Absolutely love the feel of the Tsi line
  21. Still a ways off before off season but never too early to start prepping. Have some Tour Issue TT XP shafts coming that will probably go into the Miura’s immediately as I just don’t feel comfortable with the SteelFiber i80 R’s. Also have some Tour Velvet Align grips waiting to go on the xp’s. And finally an Accra RPG 352 LBP shaft coming as a test for the winter.
  22. Very interested in your thoughts. The Red TR is in my radar even though the UB has been nothing short of amazing.
  23. I’m not gonna speak for @RickyBobby_PR but I will answer the questions for myself. I actually post less recently than in the past and that is in no way caused by Handicap or even knowledge. Having the knowledge is great but it’s is made even better when you are able to share it with others. Threads asking for advice are some of my favorites and being able to help is extremely satisfying. However there have been a few members that get confrontational and even though they ask for others opinions, they really have no interest or intention to listen or accept them. One person can ruin it for everyone and after so long you just gotta step away. I mentioned this in another conversation but the testing is the biggest driving factor for getting new members and selecting new members for tests is almost always gonna be the best way to get those members invested here. It’s great that you are trying to come up with and ask about things to get others interested, odds are out of every 10 things you think of, 7 probably already exist on here if you search. Now I say that not to stop you by any means, just to give my thoughts from being here a few years.
