  1. I am completely dumbfounded that this can not be understood. Their words say a free swinging club. The WHOLE club moves during a putt using the armlock style. There is NO fixed point that never moves like during the belly (butt never leaves belly button for example) or broomstick ( butt never leaves chest). If you believe the rules should be rewritten to make the armlock illegal fine but if you can’t understand that by the rules it isn’t illegal and different than anchored then this topic should just be locked up. We have went past amusing to pointless as nobody is changing their minds. Edit: Dave beat me to my point.
  2. If you go back and look through the thread it was confirmed that you can only enter 1 round into the event. You may however delete your entered round and then add your current one but only one can be entered at a time.
  3. The FedEx playoffs are what some guys are looking at. Having as many guys as possible inside the top 30 for the final week and so on. One thing to watch is Zalatoris is not #28. Unless he wins a tourney he is not eligible for any of the 3 playoff events. Should he win and get all his previous points earned he would be top 10 I believe.
  4. Finally got DJ! I will say though that I would have rather gave up Reed over Morikawa but it is what it is. One concern is DJ not playing as often could be a problem. There is a reason that 4/5 of the original DJ owners were outside the top 40. On another note I’m still always open to talk trades big or small. Also available should anyone want advice on a trade or anything even if I’m not involved. I love talking trades!
  5. You just answered what everybody is trying to say. The rules state a SINGLE FIXED POINT. It is not the same as belly putting (single point touching belly) or whatever Langer and Scott did.
  6. And another anchor putter guy upset. Good talk!
  7. Sounds like Boom Boom is upset they took away his belly putter. Maybe he should read the rule. It isn’t anchoring by the rule because there is no fixed point by which the hand rotates. The end of the grip moves with the swing.
  8. He IS bracing it against his left wrist, lower forearm and is also making the same shoulder rocking swing as the others. That makes it the same stroke!
  9. Oh boy Faxon feels the same way as you so I guess I was wrong.
  10. I’m sorry but just because you are on a fictional high horse doesn’t mean you get to DEFINE what the spirit or essence of the game is.
  11. Sure looks like another finger in contact to me!
  12. Thanks for verifying why your here. Confrontation and complaining!
  13. Congrats on 5 years. I’m coming up on 7 years since I joined MGS but didn’t become a member until finally starting to get involved in 2018.
  14. I was gonna say the best offer I got for Rory might have been Bud Cauley!
  15. Possibly but it sure wasn’t armlocked or anchored!
  16. Let’s just say I call it an illegal stroke not an improper technique.
  17. This is getting carried away. There is no proper technique to swing a club or putter. Everybody does things differently in their swing due to any number of physical or mental limitations. Also as far as armlock being an advantage, it is only an advantage if you can do something NOBODY else can do. Anybody can use the armlock therefore it is not an advantage. I am sure Billy and others have tried armlock and decided on their OWN that the benefits did NOT outweigh the negatives. Play however you want with whatever equipment you want and abide by the rules for any tourney you enter. It isn’t that hard to understand or figure out. All your doing is coming off as whiny as a multimillionaire complaining that somebody putts better than him.
  18. If you click on career at the bottom of the app, then click on tours, it should come up. Then you can click on the MGS/Grint tour and see where you stand according to “points” earned. Not sure what those are though! Lol
  19. Hopefully it lived up to the hype. 3 teams and 7 fairly big names.
  20. There is no impact, it is a free for all!
  21. You can leave the par 3s alone as they won’t count as fairways hit and your number of putts relative to score will give you your greens in regulation.
  22. Only fell to 11th place after mailing in this week 0-10. Fairly happy with that.
