I finished the season at 13.7, full point higher since I had surgery in June. Next year's goal will be to stay healthy and lower my index down into the 11's if not lower.

Today's round was a fun event with our league. Ryder Cup style, (2 man teams) with 3 different games within the 18 holes. First 6 holes played as a scramble, next 6 was best ball and final 6 finished as alternate shot.
Was driving the ball well but putting was a little off.
Now the winter rounds begin till next spring. Skins and greenies are the flavors during winter.
Sometimes I win more this time of the year than during the regular season =)

The heat kicked me in the marbles today. 101 was not the best for golfing but I started strong with 41 front and limped in with a 47. Tournament next week and avg high temp this week will be about 80. Bring on the cold lol

Limped into the house with 94. A few positives came from my 3rd round this summer. Buddy pointed out that sitting in a recliner for 2 months didn't get my body ready for the southern heat and humidity. Valid point lol.
Ball striking was on point. The putter and touch are rusty but coming back slowly. If I'm lucky I'll be back to where I was in April by mid October.
I have noticed my scrambling game is as good as it enter was, thankfully.
Taking this weekend off to rest the back and remember this is a marathon not a sprint to return.

With lil time on my hands I bought some epoxy to try my hand at fixing my old Orlimar Trimetal 3 Wood. The head popped off so it seemed an easy fix. Cleaned it up and reapplied fresh epoxy, dried over night and I think it is ready to go. Love this club, always bomb it just as far or further than todays 3 woods.

Posted a painful, literally, 49/41 90. Second round back and the body began crying foul on the 2nd hole. Thinking I didn't stretch my back out enough before the round and I paid for it. On a plus, I didn't run out of gas this week. It's all a work in progress right now.

My wedge game was on point today as I chipped nerf golf balls against the wall in the living room. I was so inspired I went to the garage and hit 10 balls into a net with full swings.
No pain.... yet, but is expected soon lol.

I'm open for adoption lol.After my son's lesson this morning the asst pro wanted to measure him for clubs. Turns out the little guy's clubs were on average 4 inches short and now $600 later he has a new set of sticks. Got him the tour series US kids clubs and he will have his first full bag once the free gap wedge and lob wedge come in.

Same boat here brother, holding steady at 13. It's easy if you can't play.As predicted, still at 11.8. No golf at all during the reporting period will do that. Foot is still very sore. Pout

Yup, just watched it tonight. I've been waiting for a couple months now after seeing the previews during the last season of Suits.
The usual HBO and Showtime shows (House of Lies just ended, Game of Thrones finale this weekend, Silicon Valley)
I'm really liking Preacher on AMC and I'm cautiously optimistic about Roadies on HBO.
I'll have to check out Preacher. When does it show?You said it, man - Preacher is an awesome, wicked sick show.

Watched the first episode and I thought it was pretty good, plus it gave me the hankering for mexican food

Rough day in mudville today. Carded a 49/46 and took a 10 on the final hole. In our league we have double par max and 18th hole was a par 5, today was the first day for me to walk and I just didn't have anything left in the tank to finish.
On a positive, the new driver shaft did well. Getting used to the length took a few holes but once I got relaxed with it, it boomed!
Looking forward to the next round with it. 300 yards isn't out of the question now.
