  1. Not much here. I just try to be organized. Maybe the only habit is I always take my glove off inbetween shots.
  2. I've started to think about what shirts I should have or bring... Hmmm may need to do some shopping
  3. Morning basically for pace of play. Afternoons are slow!!!
  4. Short list 3 woods for me are consistently older(ish) Cobra fairways. I am a believer in the rail system they had and help improve the playability of the club as a whole. From the F7 to LTDx I firmly believe they are some of the best out there. That's just me tho.
  5. It's still a couple weeks away, but who do you think will win? Who's your dark horse pick? Will a LIV player win?
  6. Funny this came up as well. Does this add to the intrigue?
  7. Saw this article today when going through my feed - https://www.golfdigest.com/story/brooks-koepka-adam-scott-tyrrell-hatton-summer-olympics-2024 Kinda got me thinking. I am a big fan of the Olympics and enjoy when it is in. That said I don't care much about the Olympics when it comes to golf. It seems misplaced and a weird sport to be part of the Olympics. I do think it deserves a spot, but maybe it is the format or something else. Just seems like an awkward sport compared to many others. That's just my line of thinking, what's yours?
  8. MGS has done some good research and testing on performance with damaged or scuffed golf balls. It is pretty clear there is a significant drop off, so with that when a ball is marked I set it aside to use as a practice ball. Now that said the courses we okay are lined with hazards so it's somewhat frequent to lose golf balls.
  9. Just saying from experience and it is not just PING, but others when you have something that is a "custom order" ie not the stock option in shop it takes some time. While most have recovered from supply chain issues, 3-4 weeks is still considered the standard. You're not the only person making an order and they file into the que along with all the others and being a global company yeah it can take a few weeks. To me this is not a PING issue or reason to sound an alarm. It would more be the person you were dealing with not providing you the appropriate information and properly informing you to make sure you had the proper expectations.
  10. 3-4 weeks for "custom builds" is normal.
  11. It's amazing when you simplify the game how scores can drop. We saw it last year during the 4 club Challenge, myself and several others had season lows during that because it broke things down and meant just hit fairways, avoid big mistakes and play simple.
  12. Clubs4cash has been a site I've used. Just need to know what you are looking for and wanting
  13. Tricky, that's too bad. 100k is a good amount of ppl. My town is less than 1500.. Anyway. There are good DTC brands that offer great value for money. A brand like Stix offers a full bag, same with Byrdie Golf design and others. Another guy entry point and would allow you to update/upgrade as you needed if you really got back into it?
  14. Once the iphone is charged up a little more I am going to go out for my first session!
  15. I keep feeling like this is closer than it actually is. I know it isn't that far off, but I still want it to be sooner!
  16. Normally around this time of year many courses and clubs will have demo days. Sometimes with several different equipment brands on the same day. They are normally busy, but also offer the chance to try different clubs and irons with no obligations and so on. While not a fitting these can often be the perfect start for someone in your situation. The opportunity to try new clubs and see what you like to look/feel of and what performs well to give you a head start. At least this is where I would start if I was you and wanted to see what was new and available.
  17. Thank you to all who registered! We will be going through the signups and selecting our testers Tuesday!
  18. I won't vote because I have no idea, but am curious what the majority will say! I am still working on getting through the other books I have been given and its been a slow go so far.
  19. I am looking forward to following along your journey!
  20. It would definitely influence the lie angle. Could be with reaching out to lab and see what they recommend. As a side note I was/am not the biggest fan of extensions. If course they work, but there is a feel difference as it is a different material or shaft that is being used. The lab shafts are stiff and that is part of the feel. Adding may also change the feel a little.
  21. https://www.instagram.com/stories/runner_golf/3334413433938735518?utm_source=ig_story_item_share&igsh=MWxpdDFkbGZmcWUxaQ== Getting real!
  22. I have a couple of both. But typically use my stand bags.
  23. This is just my opinion but put less focus on the number itself and look at little things like - no penalties off the tee, a no 3 putt round, hit 8 greens in regulation and those sorts of things. You'll find removing some of the big mistakes and those in round goals lead to more pars, more Birdie chances, fewer big numbers (doubles plus) and in the end the scores follow! And breaking 80 is always possible! @GolfSpy SAM didn't due it till last year and crushed it with a 75!
  24. I'm get to work in this after the holiday weekend and hopefully have some updates to share with all later next week!
