  1. The club itself is one - when you get a fitting the grip, shaft and head will work in harmony together. Grip is often just a hand size thing more than anything else. It is also something that is relatively easy to change down the line if you like. Shaft and head should work together and in my case I found a shaft I liked and the heads ended working well with that shaft (combo set t-series). The ball for me was last, but thats because I have found so many really good high performing golf balls. I like the Vice Pro Plus, but the new Callaway Chrome Tour have done really well for me, Odin was decent in limited testing and the new TaylorMade TP5 are also high on my list. Of course Titleist is always a good choice - basically there are a ton of options so I would look at the club being priority and then going to the golf ball.
  2. Love the case! He mentioned they were waiting on those and I am pumped to see them. They look amazing!
  3. I think this is the second time you have guessed this!
  4. Hmm ... wish I had one of those but can't say I do.
  5. Did you know we shared a teaser for future testing on the Forum IG account today? Go drop us a like and follow and see if you can guess what the item may be!
  6. Not disputing that - just saying hard to agree with blanket statements like the one you did. Hockey has still done really well when NHL players were taken out of the equation. Curling is the most televised sport in the winter olympics and they are the only sport to be shown every day of the event, but even they adapted to make or get a discipline in that was more digestible for casual viewers. I don't disagree golf should be a part of it, it's more I just don't feel the need for there to be the same standard 72 stroke play when they can do something a lot more special to attract more viewers. Kinda like the Ryder cup. I think golf can do better, be better to more in a special event like the Olympics.
  7. I have seen these before. Also see them a lot on Temu and Amazon for a fraction of that cost. May be worth to compare between the two and see if the other is really worth spending $30 bucks more. Also the club scrub was surprisingly good for the same thing and does golf clubs as well.
  8. I see a lot of KZG here. It could be they are more out of the US market. I was a bit surprised seeing the amount here.
  9. I have only heard the mumblings and a few things here and there. Nothing much else. We had a call with them surrounding member testing and they weren't interested at this time. Maybe this had something to do with it? Maybe not. Eitherway I hope to see them succeed and turn the corner. They have a bunch of pro guys they support and will be more interesting if they pull back on that to get things further in order. Wish them all the best and think they make a unique product!
  10. I'll push back there - yes it is great to see the best in the world. But we already (kinda) see that in golf. I would be much more invested in countries and team competition and playing for your country with that pride and enthusiasm on the line. I guess that is what makes the olympics special or more enjoyable to me is it is so much more than the individual athlete and more about the country itself. I just simply wouldn't use a blanket statement like that because it's simply too general.
  11. It was also at one time meant for amateurs only not professionals. There are a ton of weird sports involved - not disagreeing with you there. Just stating my own thoughts on it feeling misplaced I guess? As are others.
  12. I do think Rahm has a good shot at going back to back. Gooch has an invite so pressure is on him now!
  13. Uh oh... You may never be able to change away now!
  14. Not much here. I just try to be organized. Maybe the only habit is I always take my glove off inbetween shots.
  15. I've started to think about what shirts I should have or bring... Hmmm may need to do some shopping
  16. Morning basically for pace of play. Afternoons are slow!!!
  17. Short list 3 woods for me are consistently older(ish) Cobra fairways. I am a believer in the rail system they had and help improve the playability of the club as a whole. From the F7 to LTDx I firmly believe they are some of the best out there. That's just me tho.
  18. It's still a couple weeks away, but who do you think will win? Who's your dark horse pick? Will a LIV player win?
  19. Funny this came up as well. Does this add to the intrigue?
  20. Saw this article today when going through my feed - https://www.golfdigest.com/story/brooks-koepka-adam-scott-tyrrell-hatton-summer-olympics-2024 Kinda got me thinking. I am a big fan of the Olympics and enjoy when it is in. That said I don't care much about the Olympics when it comes to golf. It seems misplaced and a weird sport to be part of the Olympics. I do think it deserves a spot, but maybe it is the format or something else. Just seems like an awkward sport compared to many others. That's just my line of thinking, what's yours?
  21. MGS has done some good research and testing on performance with damaged or scuffed golf balls. It is pretty clear there is a significant drop off, so with that when a ball is marked I set it aside to use as a practice ball. Now that said the courses we okay are lined with hazards so it's somewhat frequent to lose golf balls.
  22. Just saying from experience and it is not just PING, but others when you have something that is a "custom order" ie not the stock option in shop it takes some time. While most have recovered from supply chain issues, 3-4 weeks is still considered the standard. You're not the only person making an order and they file into the que along with all the others and being a global company yeah it can take a few weeks. To me this is not a PING issue or reason to sound an alarm. It would more be the person you were dealing with not providing you the appropriate information and properly informing you to make sure you had the proper expectations.
  23. 3-4 weeks for "custom builds" is normal.
  24. It's amazing when you simplify the game how scores can drop. We saw it last year during the 4 club Challenge, myself and several others had season lows during that because it broke things down and meant just hit fairways, avoid big mistakes and play simple.
