I try to avoid mats as well, but as you said sometimes unavoidable. I keep a small section of 1'x2'of the brown fibrous welcome mat from Home Depot or Lowes to place on top of the mat which helps with that solid feeling. I also keep a small rug piece for standing on to help keep things even. This is the least expensive alt I've found. Good luck. Lidocaine patches on your back of shoulder during rnge sessions may help as well.

Good evening all. Needed to get some yard work done while the weather is nice. Hoping for frost over the weekend to kill off that latest batch of mosquitos that recently hatched. All you all have a great weekend and enjoy yourselves.

On average, on how many holes do you hit driver?

Welcome to the forums. Hope you enjoy the ride. -
I hear ya man. People just don't get it when I say they are family. Callie was attacked earlier this year and needed 20 stiches on her belly. Twice as a lab she was hard to keep corralled for the 10 days to heal. Prays for your pup man.

A beautiful day today to play golf. Mid 70's, light breeze, sunny but only half course was open. Started their aeration project. Played good. Shot 38. Always happy with that. Now don't take me wrong, I like any birdie or par for that matter. I had a cross-slope putt of 11-12 feet. I aimed about 18 in on the high side. As it approached the hole it started slowing down and curving the way I had hoped. It curved a bit too high and curved around the back of the hole. Directly across from me. It was ever so slowly moving and plopped in. I was using one of those yellow and orange Srixon Z. The slow motion of yellow over orange looked so cool. Love that look.

Well for me it has to be my current gamer. Ping G400SFT. At 70 I'm still hitting it over 200 and hitting fairways 60% of time. Most misses are within 5 yards of the short grass. It works for me.

This will be a tad bit long. Played 9 yesterday before taking the grandboys to their robotics STEM club after school. Beautiful fall day in mid Michigan. 73, sunny as you'll see, gentle breeze. Scrambled for a par on 1. OK. Hey birdied on 2. 142yd over water. I'll show you the view on 3 later, but hit my approach to 15 inches for birdie# 2. 4,5,6,7 all pars. Good tee shot on 8, layup short of creek, hit approach shot, heard it thump on the green and then clank hitting the flag stick. Eagle!! almost, sitting on the edge but a birdie. Holy crap!! I'm -3 with one hole to go. Personal Best prior was -1. Crapola, now I have PB rattling between my ears. #9 tee shot went well. Down the middle and just 3 feet to the side of the 150 marker. Pull out my 6I and PB bouncing around my brain, and I flushed it, no, really, like in a toilet. Sliced it 15 yards off the green, but stick high. Pitched to 12 feet and you guessed it. my putt was 6 inches short, BOGIE. Then I realized, I shot 34, a -2, and still a new personal best. Made my day for sure. Oh yah, the view. #3 tee box view, if you enlarge you'll see 2 yellow hazard stakes. Far right one is really the back of the pond and the left stake is the edge of the pond. At that point the fairway is 200 yds from the tee box and starts a dogleg right. 15 yards right you'll see the 150 marker stake and 20 yards left is a berm that fronts water and a creek on that side. A tad bit intimidating for sure.

Prayers being said for all our fellow spies in the wake of these storms. Stay strong.

And I didn't mean on every hole. The worst golf starts after you have exceeded your frustration point and still try to overpower the game. Never works IMHO. That hole you pick up, some deep breathes and head to the next to start afresh. Keep playing dude.

Was able to get out for 9 today. Beautiful day very fall like except for the wind. Gusty to 25. Played the Maxfli Tour S trying it out for the fall. Didn't seem to be any lower than the other 2. Had a really decent round. 1 bogie and 8 pars, but had to scramble on 3 of those pars. Had a good day. Fall is starting in mid Michigan.

You know what you are capable of. You can always pick up on a hole giving you issues and continue the walk with your friend to the next tee grounds. Just saying.

I use a Ryobi blower, 18V. Lt wt and one bat lasts at least a full 50 min of continuous blasting. more than enough for a round, as long as the leaves are not wet and sticking to the grass.

In my opinion it counts. To heck with anyone else. I know in my heart that I made it. I don't need a fancy certificate from a golf course to know that I did it. It is too bad that some always question ones motives. If you did it, congrats. If not keep trying.

Okay @tdc1, I have to ask. How many skunks has she attempted or actually gotten? If the hissing that those opossums make doesn't make her back off not sure if anything would.

Oh yah, great day. Fun watching them march in the parade. They tried to look so grown up as they marched but as they got close they broke down smiling huge grins and waved at me and grandma. Reminded me when I was marching and did the left flank, right flank, rear march and I smile at the DI and said I got it this time drill sergeant.

I like to topography on that course from the pics. Not a boring layout it seems.

Congrats testers. Durability is what I'm most interested in hearing about. -
Trying to rest up tonight. Busy day Saturday. Taking the grandboys to the local hamlet's "SawDust Days". Boys are marching in the local parade for their "Robotics' Club. Parade starts at 10, they need to be at the meeting place by 9, means I have to get them picked up at their dad's (his weekend) before 8:30. I live 45 min from their dad's place. Sure glad gas is dropping. After the parade I have to hang around as the STEM Center is having an open house for a couple of hours and the boys volunteered to act as guides. Then on to Sunday... Just love those boys.

No golf today. Managed to hit some in the barn net after transplanting the Bee Balm and setting up the mum displays for mom.

Ah, living in Ohio, isn't that purgatory enough? GO Blue!
