  1. I’ll usually checkout www.aviationweather.gov and fronts maps about a week prior to flying. The aviation site has PIREPS (pilot reports) of turbulence and or smooth air (negative turbulence). It helps reduce anxiety and I can estimate where we’ll expect to find some potholes. The good news is that the airlines are in the business of uninterrupted flights and they’ll do whatever they can to find smooth air. If you’re familiar with typical flight routes you’ll be able to see if you’re in for a good one or not based upon any deviation or length of flight. One other thing you can do is go to flightaware and they’ll show you the accurate flight time and altitude. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  2. Descending into Florida in the summer is always a treat during PM spot showers. The cloud formations are always beautiful but it certainly doesn’t make for a smooth ride.
  3. Brook Lea is nice. Small quick greens and a nice Ross Layout...there are two Private clubs in town where both 9’s end on Par 3’s. Midvale is the other and it was Robert Trent Jones’ first design. If you’re looking for places to go or eat let me know. The west side (where you’re playing) is famous for Italian food. Safe travels up north and play well. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  4. That’s awesome. This was about the same time they launched tmagconnection and let’s just say it was tempting...
  5. Here’s my two. I know I already said Grads but I forgot to mention Ram FX Tour Grinds.
  6. I still think pound for pound, the first R7 Quad TP with a Mitsubishi Rayon TP-70 LT shaft was the best driver Taylor Made put to market.
  7. Just some follow up on the True Linkswear Knit shoe. I’ve had them for about a month now and they’ve become my daily shoe. My wife even took notice and said nice looking sneaks. I’m not one to fawn over shoes but I am very impressed with how comfy and stable they are. The toe box is a little wide for my foot but I’ve had zero issue swinging a club. They’re not for dew sweeping rounds as I found out the hard way but as an all around shoe and something to wear for a pm round I would say take a hard look. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  8. I am eagerly awaiting the release of the Glide 3.0 Eye2 model.
  9. I kick myself for selling my Titleist 670’s. Lesson learned, never make a decision in anger.
  10. I think it’s feasible. The biggest talking point seems to be feel and pop off the face. Someone who doesn’t care for an insert would still see the benefit of this club and tech with a firmer face.
  11. Thanks for taking the time to answer my two questions. After reading each of your posts several times I’m wondering if we’re far away from odyssey offering a fully customizable putter. What I mean is, head shape and color, face insert (white hot, microhinge or DFX) and shaft / grip. It seems that the biggest contention is face firmness and response. Not just from this thread but from others I know who are gaming these. Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  12. Ha! I knew it would find you and I didn’t want to be glaringly obvious. But in all honestly the putter is the most personal choice of clubs in anyone’s bag. Even the slightest cosmetic change is enough to screw with someone’s head. Adding a face insert with shaft technology unseen in any other putter is a big deal. And for what it’s worth, I thought the DFX was their best insert. Just enough feel to remind you where you struck it on the face.
  13. 20% lower is big gains. I’m glad to hear it’s working so well [emoji1360]
  14. I’m glad to hear it. Between the different shapes and face balance options it could have been overwhelming. From the few times I rolled the Tuttle and R Ball, I loved how I could feel the head throughout the stroke. It’s a winner. I know exactly what you mean. This happened last year during a match where a guy we were playing against struggled with his 2-ball. He was smashing the ball and it never made it beyond the hole. What’s the saying? Soft = Slow
  15. Now that you guys have some rounds under your belt I have 2 questions. Do you trust the selection you made within the Stroke Lab offerings? Is this technology legit and here to stay? Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  16. Nothing in NY but thanks for sharing. @pmookie was spot on with the time it takes to get approved. So long as Marijuana is listed as a schedule 1 drug, there will be interference.
  17. First and foremost, I want to say that I would love to smoke pot or use THC oil. Unfortunately, as a government employee, I would lose my job in a snap. Now that CBD extract is being marketed I am very interested in using it to relieve pains of aging. Count me in on the group that lacks trust in the myriad of vendors who claim their product is superior. I am glad you’re bringing this up and hope we can sort out some of the noise and narrow down products that could benefit the public. I will say that it is still amusing that some still believe that CBD is Marijuana in an augmented form. The tough part about science is that results always precede understanding.
  18. Hahaha yup! And when we arrived at Kennedy I felt like I was in a parallel universe.
  19. TiSi was a monster. At 7* it would launch, carry and roll out. I loved that driver.
  20. I’ll be in your shoes soon enough. I’m planning on building my daughter her first set. My grandfather built mine and I’d love to use his tools and workbench to pass it forward. Thanks for sharing [emoji1360] Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy
  21. As it says. I was playing with a friend recently who had an older set of clubs. Tried and true he plays a PING bag with a. TiSi Tec and i3’s. He shoots in the 80’s and is perfectly content with his gear. Just like the guy who drives a 20 year old car, change the grips and you’re good to go. So it brings me to my question, if there was one set you could purchase brand new, no matter the age. For me it would be a set of Mizuno Grad irons. I played my 962b’s at the same time and there wasn’t anything I loved looking at as much at that time. So let’s hear it...full bag or just a portion of it.
  22. Amazing. My tag column would be 1000 posts Donor Tester ‘19 Masters Reject
  23. Like them, no. It hasn’t prevented me from flying however. My wife and I spent our honeymoon on Kauai on a 10 hour shot from Kennedy. Hawaii was un-be-lievable and I’d go back in a heartbeat.
  24. The funny thing is I’m the complete opposite. Take off is fun and landing is a glide down, the cruising is where I am waiting for a giant bump.
  25. And a much different profile at address. Helps with guys who think too much [emoji6]
