I was not able to get my round in.. Sucky weather this weekend.. Maybe next weekend..

I have always gone as convention say and gone to the next heavier shaft in each wood. I have a 60 gram in my driver. 70 in my 3 wood and actually a 90 in my 7 wood. That is not to say that it "has" to be done that way. Get fit and see what happens. You may like something different.

I am not getting any younger either.. So it takes longer and more effort to get things moving right.

I have gone completely torque'less. I put a LAB in the bag. It is big and ugly but it seems to actually work.

harbor town is always such a fun event. This week is a good week to have a mix of players. This course always brings in some outliers.

If a tour player were to put a two tone ball in play it would be instantly recognizable.

I am going to get a couple sleeves of these to put in my bag for putting practice. I think it could be awesome for that. Other than that, I have heard these were a nightmare to produce. Supposed to be out last fall in Nov then delayed till now, and still have issues. I would be very curious what happens in the ball lab.. The two tone idea is fun. I like it, if there was a zstar ball available i would be willing to try it. But for now, it would be a short game and putting practice tool only..

really hard not to like Dean. Very honest and straight forward. Bummer for him (and those that like his product) that these issues exist. Hopefully things settle down. Also, should be a new ball soonish right??

I put a 7 wood in the bag this year. I went TSi2 and have it set to the lowest lofted and most open setting. So that should put it at 20.25 degrees. I put a ventus red shaft in it and it has been great. I love the high flight I get out of it. I have hit it both off the tee and from the fairway a couple times and it has been a great add. It previously had a utility in the bag (still do actually) but it was a bit of a one trick pony. I could hit if off the fairway with a perfect lie and off the tee it was a missile launcher. But I could pretty much just hit it hard. The 7 wood adds some versatility to that spot. I put the utility into the next spot in my bag and it seems to serve that purpose well there. So kinda the best of both worlds. I hit the 7 wood about 10-15 yards longer than the utility in current set up.

Nice.. I moved up a couple spots. I was really hoping for a Zalatoris win but alas it didnt happen. I really hope he pulls of a win this year at some point.

It took me a few min to realize the headcover test was just a gag.. I was totally confused for a min.

This is pretty much where I would see them fall into line. Personally, I have found more ball speed with the TSi3 than anything else but I can totally see it being different for someone else. They are all really close so it comes down to the very small things that make a difference. Something that even the specs of the club would not be able to define. It could be slight differences in looks that give one the edge.

Interesting results. I am not too surprised.. I wish there was a way to do this blind and with now brand influence. I know that is not possible but I would be curious to see if not know who made a club made a difference. I bet it would..
