  1. used it yesterday but gripped down an inch on the shaft, it performed so well a missed fairway was semi rough. Using it full lenght proved VERY eratic
  2. GLOW! Had a look, hooked after literally 3 minutes as it sets the scene and was actually very clever, and funny. Now watched all 3 series and looking forward to series 4
  3. gripped down a whole inch yesterday, best driving round I've had in a year
  4. think I have it 'almost' sussed after a few weeks chipping on the bedroom floor, something didnt feel right, so I changed it for yesterdays game and I was chipping high and low shots to order, even chipped in from 25 yds. It was so basic my fault that I think other chippers dont do it it hence why they are good chippers. Hoping it lasts
  5. 39 degrees yesterday and wet underfoot. Glad to say this winter golf run of good play continues, wonder if wearing 4 layers incl supression top is keeping my swing tighter. Anyway, gross 72, 4 birdies and only missed 3 fairways. Decided to choke down an inch on driver and it was superb. Putter also hot after standing taller to max the 34.5" shaft and have the blade flatter on the green, 29 putts which is awesome for me.
  6. just got a GP Tour wrap on an ebay club I bought- beautiful grip, so soft, yet firm and tacky. I'm getting my wedges done in the midsize of this....in WHITE!
  7. what a beauty! what about Padrena? (Seve born and died there)
  8. Update. wiped with damp cloth. cleaned with magic marker (worked well) Further clean with saddle soap (worked even better) Finally applied white shoe polish (not liquid) and a light buff. They look superb for a shoe I've worn on average 2 times a week for 3 years in all weathers! Final part is put in new cleats to have a pristine 'new' shoe for the season. Heres the kicker though-see what I did - they are Adidas Adi Power boost, all internet searches say the cleats were never intended to be removed and would last 2 seasons!!! so I have plastic stumps and not cleats now. Meh!
  9. you should come to a football match here in the UK, the organised hatred and disgusting vile abuse thrown at the opposition would make a Navy Seal blush! I took my young son to a local game a few years back, his face was in shock with what he heard.........at one point the police had to tell the guys in front of us to calm it or get removed. We left at half time! Remember Colin Montgomery used to get very badly heckled particularly in the States, all of it personal. Takes a certain type not to take it personally or not affect his game. We all want to be liked, even on here, but it only takes 1 or 2 individuals with an uncalled for throw away comment to start down a slippery slope. Usually these people are craving for attention and are narcissistic. I spent decades in psychology and these are 99.9 times out of 100 the reason. I have noticed golf crowds over here are fighting back -not literally- but will say something to anyone acting out of line in the crowd, if they challenge back then more get involved.
  10. I haven't seen the new Tesla 4x4 in person, nor driven it, but I have an opinion on it's looks.
  11. I would imagine opinions are ok? or are they frowned upon with the same disdain?
  12. Rick Shiels just did a video review of Sim and Sim max- overall a good driver, but it didn't consistently do any of the claims made by TM. His SS differed by 0.4mph. Personally from the address position it looks good, very similar to many TM drivers. The sole though is horrible with that lump of metal stuck on.
  13. Alex at Orka is legendary with his customer service and fitting to the 'nth' degree. Website says USA as well so maybe worth dropping him a line on his twitter feed.
  14. EPON mean anything? or is it clubs you have made yourself? The ferrules look the same as everyone elses, or am I missing something?
  15. he had that without ANY sponsorship deal...............just like the REST of us!
  16. quite liking the srixon Z star (older model), will try the 2019 one soon as my dozen box run out, which might be awhile as I've had 3 rounds with the first one and it still looks better than a new Prov1 after 4 holes!
  17. didnt know he was sponsored- who was it? Must have been restrictive to give up a regular source of income.
  18. Just putting this out there, but the 4 best performing clubs I use are the Driver (TM M2), hybrid (Titleist 910 19*), 4w (Callaway steelhead) and putter (Yes Tracey 11). All bought because the reviews by Joe public were good and I liked the look of them. Caveat is, there are also many clubs bought this way that didnt work out at all. Likewise a PGA pro 'fitted' Cobra F9 was probably the worst purchase I've ever done, alonside a PGA pro fitted set of Titleist AP2's- go figure!
  19. 28*f Everything is white- but no snow! nuff said- back to hibernating methinks
  20. Played New years eve- beautiful blue sky and sunshine........BUT..........it was 28*f and a whiteout, so winter greens which I loathe but wanted to play the last day of 2019. Played well, again, really getting consistent and hope it continues. Putting was a joke on basically a cut out bit of the fairway, driver good, irons good and wedges good. Really hoping to keep this going for the new season, as I know I could've been a contender, I could've been somebody..........
  21. if you mean TWO, then it certainly happens a lot in links golf, same for everyone and great fun!
  22. yup, those darn pesky greenkeepers need to place the pins in easier spots or how can we be expected to enjoy our golf! Jees!
