  1. I was able to convince my wife to just let me pick it out so super speed golf is on the way for some winter training.
  2. I know that pain I tended to get golf stuff for my birthday and then get to play once before having to wait all winter for another round with them. Not the ideal way to break in some new clubs, but sometimes the deal is too good to pass up.
  3. Exactly that's why I try to use the toe and heel as much as possible at least that's what I tell myself.
  4. Well there is a first time for everything I guess. That onside kick was just terrible the whole Falcons team forgot that they can touch the ball whenever they want. Dallas was luck too they went for 2 on there second to last TD and missed it which left them down 9 instead of kicking and trying it at the last TD. All worked out but if not I am sure McCarthy would have heard about it.
  5. Haven't tried them myself since my feet are on the wide side so I am in New Balance, but Nike seems to have a number of spiked shoes that have a running shoe look to them and are likely to be comfortable for walking. https://www.nike.com/w/mens-golf-shoes-23q9wznik1zy7ok
  6. Good win for Bryson. I agree that the question now is can he keep the length up, probably long enough to win a lot of tournaments and majors. I would imagine if he keeps it up we might see a bit more on the single plane swing, but would take some time.
  7. Cold here this morning, 32, very close to having a frost delay. Went 41/39 for an 80, one of these days I'll get under 80 again probably just thinking about it to much. Today was terrible was if the tee. Two penalty shots on the front that led to bogey and a handful more in the trees, though I like to blame this on the very cold no warmup start. Otherwise hit 10/18 greens which is high for me, and only one three putt. Not the best day to start Arccos tracking with the short shorts in the cold, but it was fun to see some of the metrics. Of course today was easy to figure out the problem .
  8. I know that sort of thing has gotten to me before, but Reed is never one to back down from a challenge and always seems to hang tough. Also another tough one for Speith, I like his game and hope he gets back into form soon, it's been a long stretch for him.
  9. I imagine there is some speed to give up there. Keep up the hard work.
  10. Looking like a good hit, and I know you have mentioned you club head speed before and just the sound of the ball coming off that club is something else. Though I will give you, your range is a bit less scenic.
  11. Thanks it is scenic though there is a stern price to pay for the view. I only have about a month left before the cold weather arrives here and then a long 5 months or so without golf.
  12. Able to hit the range today. A bit windy but some beautiful views. Been working on getting the hips to start the downswing, I can tend to get my hands a bit too quick. Pretty successful found a groove with about ten balls to go (isn't that always the way). Then I was able to hit the practice green which revealed that I have indeed not been practicing this enough.
  13. Totally agree with that order. A US Open at this point would be a surprise. Maybe at the Country Club of Brookline.that will be a bit of a shorter track.
  14. Yeah I think that another US own for him would be a tough ask. Given the rough and other conditions I would guess the other majors are a better chance.
  15. And just like that Bubba doubles the final hole
  16. Indeed, down to only 13 players under par and many of them have not teed off yet, or were much lower to start like Wolff. Only thee people under par for the day. Makes the -3 by Bubba Watson right now look pretty impressive, DJ is two under today as well, still playing well.
  17. We are even getting some solid haze here in NH from these fires. Obviously we have been spared it affecting air quality too much. Hope everyone stays safe out there and many of these fires can be gotten under control.
  18. Yes those greens have some good complex to them that look to be no fun to putt from the wrong section.
  19. That's what I have been looking for. I saw Tony Finau be able to get it 170 out of the deep stuff, that feels a bit too easy.
  20. They had a good game week one, hopefully they keep it going. Though gonna be a tough year with KC if they keep it up.
  21. Had a similar shot last time I played just hit the ball so much longer than normal. Of course pulled the next one into the trees, just to even things out.
  22. Got a college degree in meteorology, just don't mention it to my wife since when she asks I never know the weather, but currently work as a data analyst. So it's of no real surprise that I enjoy the data centric work of the guys here at MSG.
  23. As a fellow Pats fan I did get some enjoyment out of the Bucs going full Tampa Bay Bucs last week with all the penalties and missed plays and the defense not being great. Saints a great team so a win was gonna be tough but they have a little ways to go here. Don't think it will be a problem just gonna take a month. As for the Pats this year I feel a grind coming on. Close games low scoring and me being stressed just about every week.
  24. There was a hole on my home course that had water about 250 out and this was the perfect club to come up just short. I would choke down a bit and play a low runner to 220. It was automatic. I can still see that shot hitting the middle of the fairway in my head.
