  1. Nice ! so far I like the feel and weight but just need to get used to it and i will post soon how the EV2 is different were I need to keep my hands lower then my gamer Taylormade TP red white .. I think that cause some issues yesterday by playing .. but so far really like it.
  2. just got home last night snapped some pics got and played a round today with the evnroll .. mixed reviews really like the putter just need to get used to it but putted really well on the back 9
  3. You should they are fun no matter what happens .. my club also awards points toward events so when the member member tourney or another event that has a wait list the points come in handy ..but I lost in mine but had a lot of fun
  4. Got mY putter today … but I’m on vacation and won’t be back until Saturday so will start testing then
  5. Just an update, Some of us just got notifications of our putters being shipped to us, I will get my next week but I will be away on vacation so should just the testing on Sun Aug 20 for myself but others will start sooner! .. Let me know if there are any type of test that you want done that hasn't been listed so far.
  6. First hole, second shot 156 in the rough slight up hill, pin was left of the green, hit an 8 iron, tap in for bird
  7. I joined a private club in April, I been talking about joining one for several years and I finally had the money set a side and my wife said to do it but make sure it has a pool and events for the kids. The club I joined has both and so far we love it, no regrets at all, also everyone I met or played with has been really nice. The one thing is it’s really expensive, I thought I had an idea but you really don’t until you get your monthly invoice. I enjoy playing in all the tourneys and events they have for the kids. Also I choose the club I joined bc you can defer the initiation fee over 5 years some other clubs want everything up front. But like I said no regrets one of the best things I did.
  8. Congrats testers I was looking into this can’t wait to see how it goes
  9. I bought a bag of 100 white plastic tees that have three blue marks on them to get you of an idea of the tee height and been using them for 3 - 4 years now but at my course I’ll grab some wood ones .. I chose plastic bc I always break the wood ones right away
  10. Yes I will prob pull out the measuring tape and do those distances
  11. Everyone I have an important announcement ! my intro is now up .... Thank you
  12. Built this in the winter this is the before I added the padding, I have the skytrak and I do really Like it I might upgrade this up coming winter to a bushnell but still undecided.. skytrak works well but I think it’s getting outdated compared to the newer models that came out and the new skytrak +, this is in my garage that is detached from the house to I’m still working on getting internet in there but so far it’s great to keep practicing and playing during the winter
  13. I picked the EV2 Black but it the short slant I got the plumber neck .. I got fitted for it and I know it was an indoor putting green but I was sinking a lot with it
  14. I did the 2021 T300 review for the forum and I am still gaming them and dont plan on switching them for a long time... as of lately with some swing improvement I am hitting the ball really well and a lot longer. My one big issue was I used to play Mizunos JPX HM 900 and the feel was incredible but I am starting to really like the feel of the T300s not sure its bc i am used to them more but the sound and feel are great. Good review @MissionMan
  15. That r9 rescue hybrid is my fav club of all time .. still have it just took it out of the bad bc of losing distance
  16. I like and play better when I use my push cart but I walked last Friday and it was so hot and humid I dead for the rest of the weekend
  17. Thanks everyone ! Really hype to test this one out, my CC is a Donald Ross course and the greens are tough
  18. First I want to thank the Forum mods and Evnroll to allow us to be so lucky to test these putters. And a quick shout out to @GolfSpy BOS for answering all our questions, preparing us for our review and taking all our specs to put the orders in, truly appreciated ! Well hello ... My name is Ed and live in Collingswood New Jersey, which is south part of NJ with my wife and three kids. I started in MGS in 2019 I believe when I saw an instagram add and I was like this is interesting. I lurked around for a bit on the Forum never posted and then I started to interact with everyone and its been great. I recently tested the Align XL golf balls from Golfballs.com, the Ben Hogan VKTR hybrid and the last one was Titleist T300, which are still in the bag. I started playing golf at an early age but I always had other sports I put infront of golf, and started to really play full time around 2019. I am a member of Riverton CC and try to get in at least 9 holes in a week but lately I been actually playing 18 every week. Being a member got me to be more competitive since I am playing in more tourneys and just a lot of side money games. I always kind of a Competitive golfer but now I getting really competitive. For this current test my weapon of choice will be the EV2B (the B is for Black Panther, it works 60% of the time every time) and my plan is to really test lag putting. Since I joined my CC which is a Don Ross course I noticed that these greens are really fast and slope all over the place, if you hit it to hard balls gone off the green, miss hit ? bingo bango balls gone and now have another 8 foot to save par. So I really want to test the how the miss hit if what envroll says that these clubs will reduce the miss hits and the pace of the putts for the long lag putts. I am going to compare the EV2B to my Taylormade TP red/white ardmore which I believed did really well in the mygolf spy putter testing multiple years ago. I have a BGT Stabilized shaft on my current putter which has preform really well for me over the years. Also the EV2B is a milled face where the TM ardmore has a rubber insert, I want to see the feel and difference between the two. If the EV2B does well in the lag part of my test I will have to keep it in the bag, but I am going to put it to the test and see how it comes out against the gamer and winner take all. I am really excited to test a Evnroll putter because of all the great things I hear about their putters, everyone I talked loves them and I never really got a chance to try one and see if their "Sweetface Technology" is really what they are saying it is. From what I heard and read about the Evnroll is the putters have a bigger sweet spot which reduces mishits, if this is true then I would expect this to be staying in the bag. I really expect this putter to perform well with the milled grind and bigger sweet spot so lets hope it holds up to my expectation! Just a little insight to my fitting process I went with the short plumber hosel that will help a golfer who misses left. During the fitting this felt the best one and produced the best results. I went with the gravity grip which is similar to the superstroke grip I use that has a 50 gram weight in the grip to help counter balance the putter. The gravity grip has a 70 gram rod in the grip to help angle the face. I am going to test this putter on the course during my rounds and on practice greens to go against the TM Ardmore. For the on course I am going to track ever putt and how many putts during the round against the TM Ardmore, I will play a round with my TM and also do the same tracking and compare. This test can be slightly subjective depending on how the pins are set up and how I am striking my approach shot but I still feel it will get a good sense of how the putter is doing. For the practice green I am going to head to head for multiple distances. When the hole is on the line those two footers can be tricky but also if you are lagging it well that can really help your score. To close my intro I would like to say I am holding Evnroll to the highest standards and this may be unfair but from what I read and heard from other golfers this should be the expectation. I truly expect the Evnroll to out perform my gamer in every aspect. Frist Impressions (20 out of 20) The Putter is an absolute beauty! love everything about the look of this putter the black head with the red and white logo really pops and catches the eye. The black shaft and black head cover really add well to the black out design. From a look standpoint they hit a homerun with the EV2. Once you get your hands on this putter you can see this putter was made really well and with high quailty materials. I got so many complaints of how the putter cover was one of the nicest they seen. The Tech behind the Evnroll is the "sweetface" tech that eliminates dispersion and produces consistent, "even" ball speeds from center and off-center hits. This really should help a golfer hit the line they want or close to it even if the golfer doesn't hit the sweet spot. This is something that should be a game changer for people have problems with having a consistent putter motion and strike. The Numbers (30 out of 40) The testing I did for the numbers also included a head-to-head on the course, which will be discussed below in the next part. The numbers here aren't just testing numbers the weight of the Evnroll is heavier than my Taylormade Ardmore by enough that I could tell the difference once I took the Evnroll out of the box. The Envroll has two 14G weights while the TM has two 5G weights, for me thats a huge difference. The difference translated on mostly during the rounds then the actually putting test. The Putting test I did 50 putts but instead of make or miss I added a little element of having the ball if missed stayed in a 1 foot radius of the hole which would represent a gimme. Below is a chart of the test where the TM out performed the Evnroll. This could be the fact that I am more comfortable with the TM but the Envroll did really well. So now was the big and most important the on course where pressure putts for money(if ya dabble in the gambling world of golf) come into play. On The Course (5 out of 10) Unfortunately for me this is where the wheels came off, and as I have multiple thoughts on this I think a little tinkering could make this better. But I wanted to complete the review before I did any tinkering to be able to compare the both further down the line for an update review. I played 8 rounds with this putter, and it was a wild ride, there were cheers, jeers and tears ! The putter on did surprising well with really long putts, now this could be really no pressure and just trying to lag it up there but I made a 50 plus footer off the green and 18 footer for birdie ! This gives me hope that I need to tinker with this putter a bit. Just some background I play at Riverton CC in New Jersey, its a Donald Ross course and the greens are tricky and fast. I couldn't control most of the putts during the rounds. I would have some that I thought I hit short and would fly by the hole. Just could not figure out the speed with the putter and with the Evnroll I had a huge miss left push. It came to the point where I had no confidence and was frustrating to putt. I mention this in some post in the thread but I believe my fitting was mistakenly incorrect, I check the lie angle and it was not the same as the TM. For note Evnroll built the putter correctly to the specs I gave them but I think my specs from the fitting was wrong, this is what I want to tinker with to get the correct specs. To conclude on this part at times I thought I figured it out but in the end I just couldn't find the speed of the putter which gave me no confidence in the putter. I did remove the weights on the last round I played and the putts were easier to control the speed but I would need to do more testing on it. The Good, the bad, the inbetween (15 our of 20) The good is I see potential with this putter I think it can be really good and I just need to do some tinkering on my end, ( remove two 14G weights, change grip, maybe lie angle adjustment). the putter feels good looks good but I just can't control it, so 2 out of 3 is good so we will see how it goes after the mods. The bad, I just couldn't figure it out, I think the since I play on fast greens the weight of my old putter and Evnroll is a big difference. I read lighter weight putter is better on fast greens and heavier putter is better for slow greens. My thought process here is to remove the weights to make it lighter which could help me control putts on the fast greens. Also I let me buddy use it while we were playing and his first reaction was wow this face is hot ! which I agree with. The inbetween is I think this could be really good for me if I tinker, but I think other golfers would really like this putter the feel was great and if you play a heavier putter this would work for you. ( if your get fitted correctly ) Play it or Trade it? (10 out of 20) I wouldn't trade it right now but It will not be in the bag. As I said during this review it needs to be tinkered so I wouldn't trade it, my goal is to get the specs better for me and restest it against these numbers. Hopefully you don't see this as a cope out but I really do like this putter a lot but as of right now I have no confidence in this putter how it is. I think the price might be a little steep for some, $489 putter for me is a lot but I believe this is going rate for higher end putters so its might as well be price correctly but just not for me. Conclusion To sum up this review, Evnroll putters are made of high quality materials from the grip to the head cover, the putter seems a little to heavy/fast for me but I think with a proper fitting this putter could really good for any golfer. I will be doing update reviews once I get this refitted properly. Final Score (80 out of 100)
