  1. This is a 2006 Club Car Precedent. 6” lift, 23” AT tires, auto watering system. Sun City Summerlin in Las Vegas. Used for golf, going to gym, pool, neighbors, restaurants, grocery, CVS, Dollar Store. Batteries last 5 years, tires 4 years
  2. Wish I could have EVER hit a 7 iron 170! With the newer stronger lofts I can get closer (cuz I’m really hitting a 5 iron, ) to that number. Today the number stamped on the bottom is pretty meaningless. Nowadays instead of asking “whadya hit”, I ask “What distance did you play that at?” New T100 7 iron is 34*, T300 is *29. In my day that was nearly 2 club difference!
  3. All 3 felt nice. While the 300 is supposed to be a GI iron, it seemed to have a bit thinner top line and sole than my AP1, as well as a more compact head. Seemed to be more forgiving, but didn’t have the huge head of some GI irons. I was difficult for me to distinguish between the 300 and 200 in terms of look at address and feel through the swing. 300 performed a bit better for my swing. The 100 looks great, but I don’t have the skill to make it perform
  4. Just tested T200 and 300. The 300 definitely has their “Max Impact” polymer rebound point nearer center/toe. Toe hits seemed to still perform pretty well
  5. Had my fitting today with new T series irons. Currently play AP1 714. The 100, 200, and 300 all look great to me. As it was explained to me, this series does not translate to the AP series. It is blending existing tech with new, so can’t say the T200 is old AP1, etc. My take on the line up is the 100 is a players iron with distance and workability and my ability is not up to the task. Hit about 50 200 and 300 7 irons with Aerotech i95 stiff shafts. The lofts are stronger by a full club over my AP1 714 Overall look across the line are thinner and more compact and are very pleasing to my eye. Numbers: Swing speed about 80, Ball speed about 115 Below are averages after tossing out 2 best, and 2 worst Current AP1 6 iron 29*(12 shots) Avg Carry. 162 Avg Spin. 5997 Launch 16* Off line avg 7.4 New T200 7 iron 30*(17 shots) Avg Carry 163 Avg Spin 6042 Launch 16.7 Off line avg 8.8 New T300 7 iron 29*(19 shots) Avg Carry 164.5 Avg Spin 6223 Launch 16.5 Offline 6.7 I basically came up with I can now hit a 7 iron the same as my 6 iron( since same loft) maybe a few yds more, maybe a bit more forgiving, and a bit more stopping power It is not enough to warrant a change for me, but they look good, feel good, and are certainly worth a look

My 913H at 18* avg 196 carry New TS2 at 19* avg carry was 219 Small sample size, but will need to look at these in earnest soon
  7. Going for a full on fitting with Titleist on Friday for new T series. Have Played Titleist for most of last 45 years( including Acushnet Finalist!). Currently play AP1 714 so will be interesting how the new tech might work out. Will post my opinions after the fittings
  8. Same age as you. Have severe arthritis in hands. Could not complete a round due to hand pain. Went for a fitting 5 years ago and hit a lot of shafts. Clear winner was Aerotech Steelfibres i95 in stiff. Gave me the reduced vibration I needed with the feel of steel. Can play now without hand pain, accuracy is much improved and index is half of what it was. My SS for 6 iron is upper 80s. Will play these shafts as long as they are made
  9. Have always played a “buttercup fade”. Nicklaus hit a fade. Grew up watching Nicklaus
  10. Been playing for 51 years. Have witnessed 7 holes-in-one, and 2 albatrosses. Have personally had zero of both!
  11. Play GP Tour Wrap 2G Jumbo +2 for about 2 years. Real help on arthritic hands, less grip pressure, less pain, better play, less shock. Best equipment choice I’ve made in 50 years of playing. Hands measure 8.75 and 4.25
  12. I feel your pain. Many places have “big and tall” but really should be just “big”. Pants start at 44 waist and stop at 32” inseam. I need 42” waist and 36” inseam. Need 12” inseam on shorts—not made, Shirts never long enough to tuck. Not many XLT options. UA has some tall sizes and their regular sizes are a bit longer. Would really like to find pants/ shirts long enough under $100, but seems like a pipe dream 6’8” 250 not a golfer bod I guess
  13. I use what I call my 50/50 practice. 50 putts from 4-10 ft, followed by 50 range balls split about 20 wedges, 10 7 iron, 10 5 iron, 5 fairway metals, 5 drivers, followed by 50 chips, and finish with 50 30 ft putts. Usually twice a week. Tweak the numbers if I am working on something particular. Takes about 75-90 minutes
  14. Just a question for the group. I am 6’8” with large hands. My clubs are 1” long, 1* upright with Jumbo+2 grips and stiff shafts. My problem is that trying new tech/clubs is difficult because stock and most fitting options do not have grip and/or lie options. Maybe some length options. When I need new equipment, I spring for full van fitting with those options, but many times would just like to see. I am sure there are a lot of NAS(Not Average Size) players are on here. Taller, shorter, injured, aging, large hands, small hands. What do you find, and how do you adapt?
  15. Layout and design was mine, but it is a two stage automotive paint with clear, so I left it to pros for application
  16. The player: Current gamer - PoV1 Handicap or Ave score - 6 7 iron carry distance with current ball - 150 Trajectory - high Putter - Odyssey metalX-1 The ball: Name of ball- Snell MTB 2018 Distance - 5-7 yards more Trajectory - a bit lower Spin - stops on proper strike, some release Feel - firm Durability (1 round) - like new Rating - Gamer First, I am a Titliest guy through the bag Have played 12 rounds with MTB. A bit longer, a bit less spin than PoV1. Played ProV1 for 10 years(60 round/year). Snell compares very favorably for $20/ dozen less and is what I play now. A well struck short iron stops, mid/long iron releases 6 ft. Pro V1 would have backed up 3, and stopped on longer irons, so I am good with that for price. I do not lose many balls and I have retired a few after 3 rounds that still look good. It is difficult for me to distinguish between the two. For $5/ dz less, would probably stay ProV— for $22/dz less, Snell’s my ball
  17. Here’s my submission. 2006 Precedent electric. High speed motor and controller, 6” lift, 23” tires on 10” wheels. We live in a golf car permissible community, so it gets a lot of non-golf use as well. Can u guess my alma mater.
  18. I’m Steve from Las Vegas, hence LVSteve. Been playing for 51 years in Montana, Idaho, California, and Nevada. Retired from career as designer for the building industry. Current index is 5.9 heading towards double digits if things don’t improve. Golf has always allowed me to challenge myself, while getting movement and exercise in the sun I play Palm Valley, Highland Falls, and Eagle Crest in Las Vegas on a 2-3 time a week rotation Playing in Vegas is varied as we have the wind in the spring, heat in the summer, and cold in the winter. Gotta adapt the game for the conditions. If you wait for perfect conditions, you’ll only play 3 times a year I like MGS’s scientific approach with useable hard data
