  1. re read that article on MGS. when I hit a pro v 1 it feels like moosh too. allot has to do with feel for me, cause I swing 115+ with my driver but my irons are mid to low 80s. so the softer feel around and on the green are the reason I like the Soft feel I guess.
  2. So which is your preference and why. I'm on the Heavy side cause I like to feel the club in my hand and know were its at. Plus it allows me to have that Stiff+ shaft vs an X-Stiff in the driver and woods. Oh and @downlowkey I looked for this thread and found nothing, LOL
  3. I feel you, Distance off the TEE isn't an issue for me, but because I have a super slow swing with my lower irons that 60 compression rate is perfect for 100 yards and in.
  4. Did a search but ur post didn't come up, prolly cause I searched four some not foursome. It happens I'm not to worried about it. But I understand. Will look into it more diligently next time.
  5. If your thinking of switching due to price, the Srixon Soft feel is Just as good and the tour soft and at a better price. Plus they have a 3 for 2 deal going on now.
  6. Anyone in time, fictional or real, alive or dead and why!!! Plus the course you would play. 1. Would be my dad. he's been gone for 6 years now and we shared a love for this game. 2. Shooter McGavin the man, the myth, the legend.... cause why not.... 3. Fred Couples because he was the guy I tried to emulate in high school when I started playing the game. Sheridan country club, Sheridan Wyoming. Allot of good memories playing there with my dad. And you cant beat the view...
  7. start out with the 6 week program and see if you like it, 30 bucks isn't a waste on your health.
  8. u can still be an uppity A-hole or a lazy slob and still love the game, hell I know I a prick. But I wont judge people for how they dress. They are out playing the game we all love. that's all that should matter.
  9. Oh I totally agree, some places its required. But at a muni, who cares. Ill Show up in gym clothes at my muni some days, but if I go play the country club or a big name course I'm dressed to kill...
  10. I'll just say maybe 2 or 3 comments so far are the reason people think golfers are uppity A-holes. were not pro's, its a freaking game. U want the sport to grow and stay alive. Just let them come as they are. Or just take ur A$$ to a country club. My Oldman would meet me at the course after I got out of school and he would still be in his painters whites and golf shoes, or playing in his blue jeans at the club championship. And me I'm a T-shirt or polo with cargo shorts. Or after a training session ill go out in my gym clothes. Someone said they're a purist, well I bet u ain't playing in golf nickers and swinging hickory sticks. Sorry for the rant...
  11. What do you carry in ur pockets when you play? This old Callaway divot tool that I've had for like 15+ years. A great friend from my days in the Corps gave it to me. I replaced the ball marker with a 1963 silver quarter for luck, always heads up.... These tall green tees are always a must, its always gotta be a green tee. don't know why just a thing. Most recent add was these tiny tees, I found one on the course one day and loved it so I went and bought a bag, no green ones though =( So what's in ur pocket and is their a story behind it????
  12. @Subdiver1The way Id Play @ Rolling hills, Gold mountain or the Kitsap country club would be totally different than how I would played in Cali when stationed there of here in Texas were I settled. I'd Deffenatly lose 15-30 yard of roll if was playing in Bremerton. Texas doesn't know what real wet and long rough is. LOL
  13. taking me back to my days working at the driving range seeing these old beauties....
  14. After playing the Titleist tour soft and doing some research on these, I bought a sleeve and they were an all around good fit for my game. and the price didn't hurt. Ive played the Sryxon q-stars and prov1s. there are some differences in softness and feel but not enough to validay 4+ dollars a ball.
  15. more savings than just the season opener, https://www.worldwidegolfshops.com/ has coupons and shipping offers, just saying...
  16. So I play the Turbo's right now and I tested the Cobra T-rail / TE HL4 ironwoods / Wilson Launch Pad before buying the Turbo's. If I had to rate them it would look like this, 1. Turbo's (Best Shot groups, Looked good at address even though some will disagree any hybrid iron looking good. Was able to get set W/ custom set-up I.E Shafts, grips, and lie angle) 2. TE HL4 ironwoods (was right behind the turbo's, had a different look from the top but that didn't bother me. second tightest groupings of the 4 great feel too) 3. Wilson Launch Pad (shot grouping was a bit sporadic, liked the top line, a lot like the turbo's) 4. Cobra T-rail (Sat a lil high had the worst of the shot groupings of the bunch, thought they were a bit pricey too) Note: any loft or lie angle changes have to be done from the manufacturer the heads are to big for normal club bending tools. Ebay has some good sets, usually regular flex graphite in the HL3 and some HL4's... goodluck and hope this helps @jswjr
  17. Played twice this last weekend, took Friday off got misted/rained on still shot 76. Then got to go out Saturday with my buddies for my birthday round. Got a lil drunk and still shot 75. Both rounds on a par 70 from the whites, just 2 great days of #QuarantineGolf
  18. These are the first set of new clubs I've bought. Since 06 I've been gamming PING ISI Copper. prolly the only reason I didn't get the G710 was the price. those things are monstrous.... And don't get me wrong I love the look of a blade and the MB but I just turned 40 and I wanted consistency out on the course. The final score at the end of the day is what's important.
