If you are looking for reasonable price clubs from a fitter I would highly suggest the mizuno 921 hot metal. I got got into a custom shaft at no charge and the irons have just a different feel then your usual car gi iron has. But again you can hit them and not like them. So get fitted. Try different shafts in different heads. Compare them. If you don’t like the price then call someone like sub 70 and tell Jason what you are looking for and your experience with what shafts worked best for and he can take that information and suggest the best head and shaft combo for your game. Ps the sub 70 699 irons are pretty amazing but I am in love with my 921 hot metal pros. Good luck

I tried some off the shelf driving irons with graphite in them and couldn’t get the consistency I wanted off the box. So I ordered a sub 70 with my matching iron shaft and it’s been a amazing fairway finder for me

I just got fitted for 921 hot metal pro. To me they just felt the best. Not quite forged but a very soft feel that can grow on me. The maverick irons felt very clicky to me and didn’t enjoy the sound when striking a ball. There are 2 other irons I highly highly rate and would recommend considering in your list and that is the titleist t300 and the sub70 699 irons. both had amazing performance for me and great pricing on them as well. If you are getting fit expect a lead time of 30-60 days. I’ve been waiting on my mizuno for 6 weeks now and they won’t be shipped until the ends of next week. Happy shopping!

I got a 699u 2i back in October. Played 4 rounds with it. Using it mainly off the tee box and loving the bullets I’m hitting with it. Finding it easy to flight high and low. Feel is meh to me but performance and forgiveness is top notch. Finding as my go to club for par 5 approaches because I know I’m going to get it down to the hole and keep it in play unlike my hybrids and woods

Not to start my swing by turning my shoulders but to use my lats to start my swing which will cause my natural shoulder turn to happen which will also help transition my weight and clear my hips

I’m selling a set of irons on eBay. Does anyone have any suggestions for cheapest most efficient way to ship?

So I recently went to a club fitter to help address a baby pull issue I’ve had for years causing me to miss too many gir. After many swings and lie board hitting and measurements he decided I need a 1/2” taken off my irons. I tried some demo clubs at that length and boom center of face contact swing after swing instead of inside of the face contact. I was like great let’s make the adjustment. But to my ignorance it changed my swing weight from a d1 to a c7 and now I can’t feel the club head and I’m hitting the ball so inconsistently. so my question is what is everyone’s preferred swingweight? Out of curiousity.

Hey everyone. There has been so much talk about sub 70 699 irons and how good they are. But has anyone tried the new level modb-1 irons? They are a similar price and currently in stock. Just curious on performance. Hoping mgs does a review on them soon

I recently bought some honma 747v irons online with no adjustments. These things feel great when you strike a ball. But first thing I noticed is the toe of the club when addressing the ball. So I know I need lie angle adjusted. But my question is has anyone here taken their current irons in and had them tested for a whole new makeover. Loft lie shaft grip and flex? And is it worth having it done? Any advice would be great. Thanks all

Not sure if it’s applicable but I was having issues engaging my hips in the swing last year and was talking to my local golf pro about it. He told me to start doing side planks for a few minutes each day. It wasn’t the perfect solution but I did gain more rotation and power through it

For me there is the dreaded chip shot from 40-60 yards. I will hit a beautiful drive down the middle and will be 60 out and my buddy will be like here comes a double. And sure enough I’ll chuck the first chip 5 yards. Blade the second chip over the green. Finally get on and be so in my head that I miss the 2 foot putt. Does anyone else have a struggle like mine?

One of my favorite YouTube golf god just did a pretty good review on these balls. Overall seem like a good ball for the price but it does have one minor shortcoming. Hope this helps everyone

Depends on my confidence and conditions. If greens are slow and a lot of green to work with i would generally chip. Faster greens I would putt. I use the same the same putting stroke with my wedge and my putter and seem to have better luck with the wedge then my putter. Cause let’s face it me getting the ball in the hole from of the green is all luck and nothing to do with my skill haha
