  1. Huge fan of Ecco, very comfortable & good traction. Sketchers are second choice, probably just as comfortable as the Ecco's but less traction.
  2. Started walking using a ClicGear cart - then added a V2 Alphard to it. Home course is just over 7 miles for 18 holes. Comfortable shoes are a must, my feet will hurt if walking in spiked shoes. Ecco, Sketchers and Adidas are my 3 favorite shoes. If pushing, use cart path or lowest mowed grass available. Played a course that before I had the V2, I would walk up the cart path & cut over to my ball. It was a good 100' elevation climb & pushing a cart up that was a chore. I called it HeartAttack Hole Report back how your walking is going, I find very few people like carts after walking. ** Our course has a local college team using it. I asked one of the players if they can use push carts in tournaments & he said that they can. Cant imagine walking 36 holes a day like they do!!!
  3. Plantation Palms was in great shape when I played it about 4 months ago. Would be hesitant to recommend for the not big golfer player, lots of houses. Pace of play was another story, weekend golf on public is plan on 4.5 & likely be 5+ Not a fan of Heritage Isle, greens are not consistent from day to day, usually slow. Some weird hole layouts & never a good pace of play. Rocky Point, Babe Zaharis, & Rogers Park are three muni courses that while not in perfect shape, maybe the perfect fit for your desires.
  4. You wanting recommendations for courses or conditions at specific courses?
  5. I dislike SpeedRacer behind me. This guy stands back there with hands on his hips, pacing like an expecting Father, while you are waiting for group in front of you. He hits as soon as you move and you hear ball come down 10 yards behind you. Trash on the course is another one I dislike. If I see a piece of trash, I pick it up & throw it away at the next trash bin. Makes the course look much nicer when you dont see debris everywhere!! The twosome behind you that asks if they can play through, umm where you going buddy? there is a 4-some, then a 3-some in front of us, then who knows what is in front of them....
  6. Alphard is supposed to release their new Cybercart in May. I am a huge fan of their V2 if you have a cart you already like.
  7. Sounds like a battery issue. I have had good luck emailing [email protected] or [email protected] My circuit board fried about 3 weeks ago, emailed [email protected] and had a new board in about 4 days
  8. Moved to Tampa from Canton in December. It does get humid in Ohio, but FL is sub-tropical humid!! NE Ohio has some great tracks, Unfortunately Stark County loosing another one - Sanctuary, formerly known as Bob-O-Link, closes at end-of-year Wilkshire is a nice course, I prefer Zoar over Wilkshire.
  9. Another vote for Alphard. I added it to my Clicgrear cart & it is fantastic!! FYI - the follow remote is being tested currently.
  10. If you have not tried the Quarry near Canton, put it on your list, www.quarrygolfclubggp.com/ Some other gems in this area: Chippewa is very nice -www.chippewagolfclub.com You can rent Finn scooters, is a fun time for 3-4 holes then is meh Zoar Golf, www.zoarvillagegolf.com great greens that can be very challenging.
  11. I use the XGrip and the RamMount U-bolt base to hold my SkyCaddy on my ClicGear cart. Works very well!!
  12. FYI if you play Club at Savannah Harbor, TAKE BUG SPRAY!!! I had bug spray & I was still eaten alive on that back 9!!!
  13. If using inside only, then Skytrack. IF you think you want to use it outdoors, then Mevo+ gets the edge. Skytrack can be used outside, but it can have some issues. I love my Skytrack, the only club I have no-reads with is wedges if I dont put ball in correct place, ahead of laser.
  14. I have my eyes on the Sun Mountain Sync or Eco-Lite cart bag. Went to local Golf Galaxy to see them in person but they didnt have any
