  1. I would also suggest you use a air compressor. I invested in one a year or so ago, and can now change grips in a fraction of the time than before, and I can re-use grips I remove.
  2. 1. What does MGS Forum mean to you? To me MGS Forum is a ‘home’ for me; a place I visit daily. I read reviews of things that interest me, I add a comment here and there. I have even met up with a guy from here and played a round of golf with when he visited my area. I really enjoyed that. 2. What has been your favorite thread of 2023? Without a doubt, Golf Technology. I really love that aspect of the Game. From Range Finders, to GPS devices, to Launch Monitors, to Shot Tracking! Bring it! 3. What testing opportunities have you followed the most? Anything to do with Golf Technology. I also follow testing the covers areas I consider areas I need improvement. 4. If you were to explain the MGS Forum to someone who never heard about it what would you say? I would tell them that MSG is a great place to learn, to share, and to interact with others who share in the love of the Game. I would also say that they will get more out of it if the contribute. 5. Of the new "features" what have you enjoyed the most (ie: MGS Virtual Tour, Community Calls, Live Q&As, Classifieds) Though I have not yet purchased anything, I think the Classifieds section is a great addition. I find it easy to navigate and find things that interest me. 6. What brought you to join the MGS Forum? I had been searching the web for a Golf Forum. I first found a couple of others, but really did not feel ‘at home’ in those Forums. I am sure that they were great for some people, just not for me. When I find MGS, I did feel a connection, but to be honest I ‘lurked’ for a while before I joined.
  3. I do not quite understand. You said "I expected the battery to be at 50-55% remaining, but was it?". Are you saying it was within that range, or was it something else?
  4. I am in the plastic tee camp. I do not think I ever broke one, but on occasion I have lost them, mostly because I forget to pick them up.
  5. From my experience, limited as it is. I would recommend going for a fitting. Try not to arrive with any particular clubs in mind, but listen to the fitter.
  6. In 2021 I was a MSG tester for Arccos. I did experience the odd missed shot here and there, but for the most part it performed well for me. What really turned me off was the annual subscription, so when the year was up I switched to Shot Scope. I was attracted to it because it was a 'one and done', meaning no annual subscription. At first there was naturally a learning curve on my part, and once Shot Scope had to send me a replacement V3, but now things have settled down and it performs well enough. In the past I have used various phone apps, but I found having to constantly fiddle with my phone annoying and distracting to my game. I have come to believe that no technology will work perfectly; there will always be disappointments in performance. 'Free' apps will always have commercials to distract you and paid for technology will always have shortcomings. For me it is 'The Game', not the technology I want to focus my attention on. Lord knows I am a crappy enough golfer to begin with, so I do not want a lot of distraction on the course. All of this said, I am again thinking of Arccos. A friend I met here on MSG is a confirmed Arccos user, and he tells me that the new sensors and the new App have really improved Arccos performance, and I have always felt the data Arccos collected was by far the best in the field. I will wait a little longer to make that decision. Living where I do, central Virginia USA, I can golf pretty much year round, so there is no need to hurry the decision
  7. Thank you testers. I appreciate your well written reviews.
  8. Make sure to let us know how it is on the course.
  9. Looks like really nice bag, but seems to be a bit pricey. I am looking forward to reading the reviews.
  10. How does Golfshot track your shots? How does it know which club you are using?
  11. I went away for Arccos about a year ago, but am considering going back. From the sound of things, Arccos has really stepped up their game. I am still hesitant about the annual subscription though, and how high it might go
  12. Ireland has some great golf. I few years ago I had the chance to play the K Club and The Palmer North. Loved it.
  13. I bought of of these a couple of years ago, and it is one of the best expenditures I have made!
  14. When reading reviews, I always take them with 'a grain of salt'. Some people will complain about everything. In the past I have used products that reviewers serioulsy bagged on the product, and yet I had no difficulties. Now, as for shotscope, I have a V3, which works perfectly, but when I did need customer support, they would get back to me in couple of days.
  15. This is Neville. He came into my life at just the right time; he rescued me!
  16. I played a second round of golf yesterday, and did much better. As I previously mentioned, my first round was terrible. Yesterday, while still not where I wanted to be, was better.
  17. Terrible, just terrible. Played my first round in the Pinehurst/Southern Pines area today. I had not played in about three weeks, so I knew it was not going to be pretty, but I sure did not anticipate playing as poorly as I did today. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
  18. Hmmmm... 5W 7i 56 degree Putter
  19. Congratulations testers! I am looking forward to reading your reviews.
