tschott4
Just purchased an Axis 1 Umbra putter and was wondering if anyone has gamed an Axis putter and if so what are you thoughts. I've read a lot of good things on this putter and even though the look is a lot different it rolls the ball good on the carpet. Hoping to get to try it on the course tomorrow Quote Driver-Honma TW747 3 wood-Tour Edge CBX 119 Irons Tour Edge EXS Putter-SeeMore SB 20 Offset shaft
Quigleyd
Very interested to hear your experience. I have looked at those putters a number of times but just couldn’t convince myself to pull the trigger. dalejbrass
Buddy of mine uses it and loves it. He's a good golfer (4 handicap) and he sinks a lot of putts with it. tschott4
Thanks for the comments hoping to get out and give it a try this weekend. It feels good putting on the carpet at home, can't wait to give it a try on the course Quote Driver-Honma TW747 3 wood-Tour Edge CBX 119 Irons Tour Edge EXS Putter-SeeMore SB 20 Offset shaft
tschott4
I gave the Axis 1 a try and really liked the way I putted with it. Just couldn't get used to the "PING" sound it made when contacting the ball. Have changed to a Bobby Grace Night & Day mallet and as we all say this may be the one that I stick with at least for a couple of months. All_in_4Golf
I have been using the Axis 1 Joey putter for about five months now. Initially loved it. Made more putters with it the first four or five rounds than it seemed all last year. But recently it has cooled off. May have to put it in Time-Out for a bit. theflyin_haRyan
Been using the Axis 1 Rose B for about 8 months now and I can honestly say I love it. I have a tendency to switch from putter to putter, style to style quite frequently - 1x or 2x/ season. I hadnt found a shape, site line, or weight that I was all that comfortable with. I Tried Ping mallet style, to a blade stroke lab, and now the Axis 1 most recently. I stumbled upon it at a golf galaxy trying a number of different "odd" shapes (I.e. Sik, EvnRoll arm lock, etc.) The Axis 1 caught my eye with the shaft aligning in front of the face. I noticed with only a few putts that it was almost hard to start the ball off line. Rolling it at home on my indoor putting mat is a clear indicator too... compared to my Scotty Newport blade, even off center hits with the Axis almost always make their way back online. It is a massive comfortability to know I dont have to strike the ball perfectly each time to roll the ball well, and I'm currently a 6.5 HCP. Hope this helps Quote Driver: Ping G430 LST 9* Woods: Cobra Speedzone 3w & 5w Irons: Ping i200 5i - PW Wedges: Ping Glide Forged GW, RTX Zipcore 56* & 60* Putter: Axis 1 Rose B
