Cbfodalo
I picked up an old set of Wilson Staff Ultra 45 irons with firestick 3.5 steel shafts. Circa 1996. These things are in need of some tlc, so I'd like to remove heads. They are also long as hell, like plus 2". I tried heating up hosel and working head off to no avail. Not sure what's the deal, but I I have removed tons of irons but these things feel like I am going break shaft trying to get them off. I what's the trick. aerospace_ray
Don't know for sure if this could be your issue but some older Wilson irons have what is called "interference" fit at base of hosel. And some have opposite thread/turn in hosel, so you have to twist opposite to loosen. I have seen discussions regarding this on other forums. Hopefully some MGS guys with knowledge can chime in and/or Internet search may provide more information. Good luck. Titleist87
I have a set of Ultra 45, too. They have the same shaft and I was able to get all but two of the shafts out. I don't know what is going on. I would certainly like to get those shafts out and sell the heads.
