SMartin
Picked up a used Ping Sigma Tyne putter 35” but it’s pretty heavy. Head weight 370g. Current grip is Ping PP60 Pistol Grip and website says these weigh 55g. Much easier for me than previous blade putter, but the weight feels like it gets away from me pretty easy. Wanted to counterweight a bit to give it a lighter feel. It needs a new grip anyway and planned to just get a heavier grip, but then was reading about optimal swing weights and using counterweights to zero in on perfect swing weight. Seemed like too much for me to worry about. I am wondering how important it is to have a particular swing weight vs just improving the feel for me without being so technical. Shapotomous
I think with a putter it is results that matter. And for me a good feel is important to good results. So i would not even look at a swingweight scale for a putter i would experiment with temporary weights at the grip end to see what gives the best results and feels good. Then get a real weight installed that matches the best temporary weight and go from there.
