MA fitting recommendation

Recommended Posts

For any Boston area/south shore members out here...

I recently went to Joe & Leigh's Golf Performance Center for a "club evaluation".

I'd been fit there a number of years before and it was a great experience but I have different clubs now and I wasn't fit for them.

They have a "club evaluation" where they can take a look at your current set, determine if there are any changes needed to the lie angle, shafts, grips, etc. and let you know.

We went through my entire bag starting with the irons, then the driver and then the wedges.

Did a couple of measurements and after watching me hit and analyzing things determined that I am indeed standard loft/lie/length and my set was correct.

Suggestions were new grips with an extra layer of tape since my left fingers were too close to my thumb pad and a new set of wedges that were the same brand (I had 3 different types with 3 different grips!).

This has really made a difference and I'm playing better than ever.

In case you're wondering if what you have is 'right for you'.. best 40 bucks I've spent this year.

Is this in Easton MA??? They used to have a place in Whitman as well.

Hey Paul; Yes... this is in Easton... it is next to the driving range and mini golf course.  The Golf Performance Center is about 10-15 minutes from their shop/course.

Warwick's not too long of a drive -- I've gotten to know the Steve at Spargo Golf down there - they're a master fitter for Titleist, Ping, Mizuno, Miura, Wishon, Edel, Scotty, Piretti and a few others.  Worth the ride --- they're in the same facility as Mulligan's Island (love that name) driving range.
