  1. Even if I ride, I prefer to let my partner drive and if we aren’t playing cart golf, I grab a couple clubs and usually walk to my ball. It gives me more time to calm my thinking. Drive up - jump out - and hit ... isn’t as enjoyable at me.
  2. I have an iPhone 12max ... nice large screen. Once the MLM is turned on and Bluetooth paired, it’s quick. It knows my course gps location w/map, I get out of the cart first & start setting up, re-pair, orientate the hole which is just a quick swipe on the screen ... I’m doing this while everyone is jawing about the last hole or how to play the next hole or choosing a club - no real rush ... I put a tee in the ground like in a scramble & everyone drops their ball near it. That way they are pre-positioned in the screen during their shot ... or I make a very minor realignment of the camer
  3. Used my MLM on a par 3 the last day we were able to play (Nov) ... one guy missed right into bushes, easily lost ... when we got to the green it showed where everyone’s ball landed, especially the one in the bushes. We def would not have spent much time looking under all those bushes for it. When winter is over, I hope to use it on those tees where we lose balls. Granted it won’t show exact location bouncing thru trees, but it probably will show where the ball might be in the underbrush lining the fairway ... that will be a time saver. 4. I agree with everything u said ... yet some new drivers have eliminated grooves in the sweet spot.
  5. Been away from golf for over 14 years. My driver is a 1998 Titleist 975D. I purchased a set of irons last year planning of getting the driver/3 wood this coming spring. Problem is, I have instead decided to spend this year’s budget on a golf club membership. Which leads me to my crazy idea. I used to do club repair back in the dark ages ... what if I took paint fill, used for the text & numbers on iron heads, to fill the sweet spot on my 975D? Does anyone think by filling the groves I might reduce ball spin ... like the grove less sweet spots on today’s clubs?
  6. Here are a few overlooked items ...... 1. Learn to grove your pre shot routine. Pick a target from behind ur ball and choose a spot to align to on range every shot ... practice like u play. After its hit, step away ... wipe ur club face on the grass or with a towel ... start again. 2. Another issue for the range is to learn how to hit a ball without thinking about it. Ya gotta learn to keep a mental image in ur head of either the ball flight or ur intended landing area. If I’m hitting at a tree I try and keep the image of that tree in my head throughout my backswing. You can’t be thinking of
  7. I have black 2019 Calloway Apex Pros and only have 7 rounds with them, but I hit a ton of balls into my net from a mat. I notice the finish on them is wearing thin across the base but especially on the front edge. I would believe ur issue would be more likely caused by sandy soil or a golf mat before I would believe it was water. Now if u had permanent water spots in the chrome, that would scream hard water to me ... but not overall club dulling.
  8. I found an iPhone tripod on Amazon with a Bluetooth remote that I attach to my belt. Make certain ur GoPro has a remote as well. Really cuts down on scrolling thru lots of shots. The question to go with this post is: what app allows you to markup your video? I wanna draw lines to indicate the slot, posture, etc, so I can better identify my progress. Anyone know of anything for iPhone?
  9. This is the first thing I am going to try when golf weather arrives ... well that and TrueGolfFit.
  10. What bothers me is that there are so many on Amazon sold under different names, yet they use the same exact pics ... which indicates to me that someone is ripping someone off & quality can not be good. I see it with a lot of products on Amazon, so I do not trust ordering one. The instagram ads are mostly from companies in China and the last order I did originating there took 6 mos to receive. Although USPS has been taking 3 mos lately. I just want a quality product from a company I can trust.
  11. How long have you been playing golf? What's your handicap or normal score? I have been playing golf off and on for 43 years. I say off and on because I had to stop playing for 14 years due to knee pain. Received a new knee and played 6 times last year. I play local courses around Marietta, and right now am happy shooting 80. I do not have an established handicap, but hope to join a club this year. 2. What do you love about golf? I was in the PGA apprentice program when I was 21, but could not survive the off season financially. Started a club repair

  13. Brady Peery, Marietta, OH Works with my iPhone 7, but have a new iPad. Also have a new iPhone 12 coming in a week, IF Rapsodo gets a new upgrade out before the end of the year. Outdoors Backyard net
  14. Ordered a new ipad so I can use net mode outdoors. Really worried if it will work because range use requires 30+ yards of ball flight to function. So how can net mode work? Especially interested in working on shaping a shot ... into a net in my back yard. MLM hopefully, will give me that instant feedback.
  15. Brady Marietta, Ohio Pro VI when they’re free & Chrome Soft We used to use Topflight as an into the wind ball, before changing balls was against the rules. A Wilson golf club rep once told us that when they did tests with Topflight on a hitting machine, they discovered that a rotation in placement altered the ball’s flight direction. That didn’t stop us from using it off the tee into the wind. But we didn’t trust it from the fairway because we weren’t certain about the distance it might fly. My grandfather used them the entire round. He wasn’t long but he was straight down t
