Good Saturday morning spies. Thunderstorms on and off this morning to get things started but I have to go into work for inventory this morning so the weather is fine by me. Looks like it should be a good afternoon so I might try to get out to a course or at least a driving range. Sure seems that my busy days have nice weather and my free days don’t for the most part this spring. I’ll just have to keep rolling putts in the basement until I can get outside.

Great testing opportunity with Fujikura announced this morning. That will be a cool test for a few lucky members.
Hope that all if you have a great day today!!

All righty then…. HERE WE GO!!!

Got the green flag to give golf ago.
Joining the Ancient Agers at our appropriated ( it is good to be the privileged elderly ) tee time.
Just looking forward to being out there. Not planning on practicing or working on any particular part of the game. Realizing that I will probably be all over the course, I will embrace an enhanced viewpoint of my game including along the lines of

I again want to thank everyone for their support and good wishes. I will attempt to play it forward to others in the future.
Today however I plan on being that self entitled jerk and concentrate only on

May this Saturday be the start of a wonderful weekend for whatever you choose to do.

Good morning fellows and gals, reminiscing about my win in my match play yesterday but also on what I can improve on and try to get a plan together for that . I had nine pars , six bogeys and 3 birdies for the win . I was thinking about the bogeys and what I did wrong and of course two of the holes were 3 putts, I’ll have to admit I was playing last years club champion and he putts lights out without fail and I might might have been a tad intimidated with having to play him and that’s a little understandable. My  caddie/ friend was constantly reminding me to “play my own game and don’t worry about him “. Well that small task is easier said than done !

    Good morning all!
Headed to an early tee time this morning. Weather looking pretty ideal, with temps approaching 70. New driver shaft and 2-iron in play today, so I'm very excited to see how they perform.
No other real plans on the agenda for the rest of the day. Laying low at home and enjoying the weekend.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Ok had been an attempt to replace a duplicate post but changing it with adding a quote doesn't work!
I totally agree with @Kenny B about the time requirement for forum testing, and want to emphasize it is no joke.
I had my first few posts with energy and time from receiving my driver (link in the signature below) and life has conspired to keep me looking forward to the next opportunity to test it which might be tomorrow more likely Monday, I hope.
And yes welcome in @Mrsbell89 as we enjoy our slice of life here in The Good Morning Thread and more is merrier for this awesome group of obsessed golfers as close as any friends I know!

Good morning MGSpies from a cloudy but warm WNY which I suppose should not be surprising but considering the winter and spring so far I'm not yet convinced the weather intends to be warm 🤔 on this first weekend of May.  Yesterday included such fun things as getting a ladder, trowel and blocks of wood out to remove a nest being built by the second floor bedroom air conditioner, and meeting niece and nephew for a hike after work to visit an Eternal Flame, hidden gem in a park not far south from Fort EasyPutter never visited until now, where natural gas escaping bedrock shale exposed behind a waterfall has been burning all my life.

The flame is to the right of my shoulder in this photo and it is a natural phenomenon.
No golf planned today as the family rock and roll band needs rehearsal for Monday night's open mic we are again all here to resume first Mondays of each month.  Then cut grass or repair left rear wheel bearings, which should I do this afternoon as both need doing. No golf related on plan until tomorrow with the second PGA HOPE session I am volunteering for, this one at Southern Meadows GC close enough to son's RIT apartment I will be also dropping off his clubs and other things to him.
Hope golf is a part of your day! ⛳

Good morning Spies on this first Saturday of May here in Michigan.
Be sure to check out the most recent announced testing opportunity, quite certain many here will be interested. 😎
I wish that I could say that I only have been awake for a little while, but still working on breaking the early morning wake-up schedule.
For me it will be a full day of previously planned events supporting Leader Dogs, but it also allows numerous opportunities to interact with people and socialize, so they usually are fun things to do.
Did manage to spend some time at Carl's Golfland yesterday with SWMBO along. It was a rainy day, I bought a putter grip, actually practiced with a few different putters for a couple hours while SWMBO perused the store for womans clothing, as they had a massive sale for the upcoming Mother's Day here. Fortunately, it wasn't too bad of a hit to the wallet, and she had an enjoyable time, and I got some practice in.
Hope that your day is the best it can be, no matter what is in your plans, and that something fun and enjoyable makes up your day. ⛳

    Good Saturday morning!
After a successful pizza making night with the entire family, today is smoking a couple racks of ribs and trying something new on the pit.  I'm going to attempt to make the beans on the smoker as well.
Golf planned for this afternoon and looking forward to seeing how the driver performs.
Hope everyone has a great day!

GM spies!  Just a quickie this morning from the hotel, as the lady boss goes through the 4 different dresses she brought along for our sons graduation in Mobile today.   She truly values my opinion,  but then completely disregards my input.   😆

Played 18 with the Mindset ball today, keeping the same ball once again through all 18. My putting was just terrible today which was not the Mindset balls fault, the line I was reading still held true, but my distance control was really out of whack. I ended up shooting a 98 with a total of 39 putts which just ruined me.
The ball did perform well off the tee, with my irons and with the wedges so I was very happy with the ball itself even though my round went south.

From what I'm reading and comments from the testers these EDEL putters are top performers. Wonder if EDEL just dropped (brock) from EDELBROCK  since they are definitely high performance.

I finally got to get to try the mindset balls against the tour soft from titleist. I played the first 5 holes with the mindset balls and the last 4 with the titleist. The mindset balls worked great off the tee it kept me in the shot longer but from the fairways since I couldn't move the ball it was like any other ball. On the green where I can use the mindset markings I tried it on the practice green and it seemed OK but during the round I tried it and it made it look too confusing. After missing 2 putts using it I went back to using the line on the side and didn't miss a put. Off the driver the bridgestone is longer and straighter than the titleist.  Around the greens the bridgestone spins more and stops sooner than the titleist. They both feel the same off the putter. Like I said in another post I play this ball more often than the titleist because of the distance off the driver and spin on chip shots. The model I used was the tour BRX. I didn't have any issues with the ball scuffing or marking from use, I didn't hit a cart path or tree so we'll have to see if that happens what the ball looks like. I am playing this afternoon and I am going to use the mindset ball for all 9 holes. Play well everyone.

Next batch of rounds completed.  3 rounds between Sunday and this morning, I am really liking the process (when I can focus enough to use it).  High's and lows from the rounds.
Highs-Driving has been more consistent and the ball feels great off the clubface.
Around the green, chipping/pitching has been going really well also.  My up&down percentage is up 10 percent --@40% .
More to do with my game than the ball or mindset has been approach and putting.
Lows-  30 greens of 54 holes played.  The smother hook came back to visit today.... Lots of 2 putts, and it seems that the only 1 putts I can make at this point is to save par.  6 birdie chances yesterday, only converted 1.....
When I feel like I can REALLY apply the mindset, the game is good.
Practice this weekend and three rounds next week.
    Happy golfing

Got another round in this week with the Bridgestone Tour BX ball.  I am still really trying to focus on the mindset process while playing with these balls.  I struggle with it some on the greens, especially after missing a putt, I sometimes rush up and just hit the next putt.  I thought about this a few times after missing a couple putts this round.
I still like the concept of the mindset routine and think it could eventually help my game.  I played ok, didn't score well due to some 3 putts and blew up on my nemesis hole #18.  Seems to be every week now!

Driver was average all over the place, still don't see a lot of help from the mindset process

Putting was not as good as previous rounds. I really think I rushed some putts and did not due the mindset process like I had planned

I can't really judge the durability of these balls, because I am losing a sleeve a round!
