Pristine from Parking lot, pro shop, first tee to final putt with great customer service, atmosphere is a exceptional quality some places that charge more but don't bring the service when others charge less and make you feel as if you've been there for years. BTW... good food and drink.

First time I ever payed $100 or more for a round of golf was a long time ago when Nemacolin Woodlands Resort opened Mystic Rock (later home of the 84 Lumber Classic) Shot 74 and had a great time. Very nice and long.
Their links course was better in my opinion, made you use every club in the bag and overall a real still for under $50, but I think they ruined it when the remodeled it a few years ago and changed the name to Shepard's Rock. nice but not worth the money now a days. Both Pete Dye designs.
It would be a possible place for a future MGS member outing

    Good Morning MyGolfSpy Nation!!
The day is going to be overcast, with rain and possible snow in the forecast, bug change from the summer like weather last week. Finishing up work in a hour, my company did not have any issues keeping the Super Bowl attendants connected to their texting and and other phone services while at the game.
Going to go crash for a few hours sleep, then back at it tonight.
    Have a great day everyone!!

Without doubt the most difficult course I’ve ever played.  Sideways rain for the middle 6 holes didn’t help. 😜

    Good Morning!!
Coffee is hot. Temps are cold.
Going to the Chiro three days a week is not the most fun thing but it does seem to be helping.
Maybe a little swing and putting practice later 👍
    Hope your day goes well!!

Good morning everyone. Great win for the Chiefs. Not that I care (I’m a Cowboys fan) but the wife was happy and that still counts as a win for me. Watched the game at a good friends house. He’s a Niners fan. Glad they were winning at halftime as he brought out his good bourbon to bring in the good luck for a strong finish.
Let’s just say I made the most of what I could because it wasn’t out anymore after overtime, lol. Really need to get me a bottle of Weller. Hope everyone has a great day ahead as we all get back to the grind.

Yes, had both. Eagle Rare was great but not really that much better than my Buffalo Trace. Especially considering the extra cost.

Good morning and happy Monday MGS!!!
100% agree @StrokerAce on Super Bowl timing - that or just make Monday after a national holiday!
@Preeway - lucky you - hopefully you were able to partake in the Blantons & ER as well...both great pours!
Overall, I enjoyed the game and thought the "best" team came out on top in the end (even though the Chiefs were deeply flawed this year...they found a way).  As we turn a page to the 2024 season, hope springs eternal for most NFL fans (well, except if you are Falcons fan like myself 🤣).
Hope everyone has a great & productive week (and hopefully one filled with golf - on actual grass or in a simulator bay)!
Sorry, Atlanta is full @GolfSpy_BEN (although the weather isn't that great here this week) 🤣

It was Bay Hill.  Probably 20 years ago and alot more than $100.  I think it may have been $300.  We had a great time and I'm glad I played.  No, Arnie was not there that day.

Great question @GolfSpy_APH:  what makes a course worth $100? I'll add a couple of reasons:
A course in impeccable shape.   I played Firestone once and noticed that even the adjacent areas (including some that were not even on their own property) were manicured and beautifully kept! Views:  Like above pictures on Torrey Pines, they make the whole experience special.  Water, mountains or other natural wonders that make your look around and say to yourself "this should be a painting!" History or notority:   Starting with St. Andrews and working may down the list.  Has the course hosted a professional or important amateur event there?  Was the course designed by someone known for their golf course layout skills?  Does the course have an iconic hole (e.g. 17th at TPC Sawgrass, too many holes at St. Andrews and Augusta, 18th at Pebble Beach, etc.).  Like in my hometown of Key West, people travel and pay to play the Southernmost golf course in America.   Staff:  How friendly, attentive and committed to make my experience great. Is it a once in a lifetime chance to play something that I typically wouldn't have had the opportunity to play?  Maybe due to friends (I had the chance to play Oak Hill in my former hometown of Rochester, NY the last day before it was shut down for the Ryder Cup in 1995) or like other, being involved in professional societies that offered up some incredible golfing opportunities. If it's a bucket list course.  Everyone typically has a few that either near them that they always wanted to play, saw on TV or know through other means (e.g. Pebble Beach, St. Andrews, etc.) The last thing I can think of off the top of my head:  because you have to!  You're in a situation, maybe with friends, you want to play golf and the only option is to pay $100.  Rather than miss the chance (or be embarrassed by your friends) to pay up.   I'm sure MGS members have a bunch more reasons.

Harkening back to to Valhalla before the Ryder Cup… A couple of the older Vegas  courses ( some no longer exist ) could be expensive if not comped. Then again the real cost of the comp, could run you into 4 figures.

2020 it was my second year playi g golf and we went on a trip to myrtle beach and we played TPC myrtle beach i believe it was around 120 plus 50 for the caddy. This was also the first time i had ever had a caddy which at the time i wasnt good enough to hit the ball in the direction he told me to so it was a waste of money but an awesome experience so well worth it. The few years later we went back and met Dustin Johnson there while we were eating at the club house. Not the biggest dustin fan but it was super cool none the less. Headed to traverese city in michigan this year where i will be paying way more than 100 dollars around at some courses cant wait to play acadia bluffs its a bucket list course for me.
